The Mad Beauty Professor Forced Me to Mark Her - Chapter 3
Qi Si spent a few seconds at the door mentally preparing herself. Then she looked again at the Omega woman in the corner, lowered her long lashes slightly, and spoke as gently as she could.
“You look like you need help.”
“I told you to get out. Do you not understand human speech?” Lin Ye lifted her eyes. Moisture shimmered in them, and after a long while, her gaze finally focused on the girl in the white shirt standing by the door. A clear, crisp scent, like wind from the mountains, quietly drifted over. Lin Ye’s nostrils moved slightly, and the blood vessels beneath her fair skin faintly expanded, like a rose stretching its tender petals beneath a clear moonlit sky.
That scent vanished in a flash. The girl’s figure disappeared from before her eyes, as though that brief clarity just now had only been Lin Ye’s illusion.
Lin Ye tilted her head back slightly, eyes open as she faced the dazzling light above her. Her pupils shrank into tiny points. Beneath that white halo, the girl’s image still lingered on her retina.
On the other side of the wall, Qi Si handed over the Maserati keys and told Zhou Danqing with a dejected expression, “…Sorry. I think she hates me.”
“She isn’t targeting you. She’s just like that. She hates everyone.” Zhou Danqing wore a sexy black slip dress, her arms crossed in front of her chest, an unlit cigarette held between her fingers. Her expression was calm and casual. “You don’t need to mind her. Just send her to her front door. There’s no hurry to return the car either. Bring it back when you come to work tomorrow.”
Her attitude and tone did their best to make Qi Si feel that this was an extremely simple matter.
It made Qi Si suspect for a moment that perhaps she herself had not behaved well enough—had not been gentlemanly or considerate enough.
Since it was a task assigned by her boss, she would try again!
After all, it was two in the morning. She could not just leave a young Omega woman alone.
After mentally preparing herself for the second time, Qi Si pushed open the door. At the same moment Lin Ye opened her mouth, Qi Si turned off the dazzling multicolored light in the private room with a snap.
The word “get” fell into the darkness.
After two seconds of silence, Qi Si switched on another soft lamp.
The soft light made Qi Si’s skin look especially delicate, and her eyes shone like stars. Even her slightly stiff smile seemed warm as a spring breeze. Her features were already naturally beautiful, and she was tall and slender. With her hair casually tied into a high ponytail and a white shirt on, her presence was unforgettable.
Lin Ye’s gaze stayed fixed on her for a long while. When she came back to herself, Qi Si had already crouched down in front of her and picked up a silver high heel with a red sole from beneath the sofa. After checking left from right, she braced herself and went to find Lin Ye’s foot.
The gauze of Lin Ye’s skirt brushed over the back of her hand. Qi Si lowered her head and searched, her fingertips touching skin as smooth as congealed cream. The latter trembled faintly and pulled back.
“I can put on my own shoes.” Lin Ye’s voice was like Monet’s garden at dawn, its interwoven colors enough to make one sink into it.
Her words suddenly made Qi Si realize that serving an adult woman was not the same as taking care of her three-year-old little sister at home—yes, adults could put on their own shoes.
Qi Si had probably been too nervous. Embarrassed, she had nothing to say. She found the other shoe and placed it properly, then collected the bottles by Lin Ye’s feet and set them on the coffee table so she would not step on one and slip.
“Where do you live?” Qi Si heard how awkward her own voice sounded. She held her breath, not daring to inhale too much of the sweet scent in the air.
“Shuxiang Garden,” Lin Ye said.
Qi Si took out her phone to check the map, but after hearing the name, she simply turned off the screen. She might not know other residential complexes, but Shuxiang Garden was right beside her school. She remembered the way.
“I’ll take you home.” Qi Si’s hand froze in midair, unsure whether she should help Lin Ye up. She glanced at her guiltily and said, “Can you stand?”
Lin Ye quietly watched her. “Why wouldn’t I be able to?”
In this small, cramped room, the Omega’s pheromones bloomed layer upon layer like ripples. The sweet, rich scent of rose fruit wine was fragrant enough to make a person drunk.
Strictly speaking, an Omega in heat was fragile and crazed, liable to lose reason under the torment of desire. Yet the older Omega woman before her looked calm and clear-headed.
Qi Si could not help suspecting that the other woman might not understand her own situation. She had been numbed by alcohol, and her body was unconsciously releasing pheromones. She herself might not even be able to smell it.
Qi Si had read related research papers before. It was said that in certain circumstances, the brain would actively send signals to stimulate the pituitary gland into secreting more pheromones—for example, to ease symptoms like dizziness and nausea.
“Are you dizzy?” Qi Si asked with concern.
Lin Ye lowered her eyelids and gave a slight nod.
Beneath her light makeup, her cheeks were flushed. Her eyes reflected a hazy mist, and her lips carried a pearly sheen, making them especially soft and tempting.
When she was not opening her mouth to curse people, she actually looked rather obedient.
Qi Si lowered her eyes to look at her and found her own foolish thought laughable. This woman was the boss’s friend. How old was the boss? How old was she? How could she use “obedient” to describe an older Omega woman?
Thinking of what she was about to say next, Qi Si still looked away, brushed the bangs near her ear with her hand, and reminded her softly, “You don’t look like you’re in a very good state. You might… need a suppressant.”
Lin Ye’s gaze loosened. She was extremely surprised, yet she did not panic. “You smelled it?”
Qi Si said, “Mm. A very rich fragrance.”
Lin Ye stared hard at Qi Si. That scrutinizing gaze somehow made Qi Si’s heart fluster.
“…Do you need me to help you?” Qi Si said softly.
“Mm, I very much do. Ideally, with a bite of marking.” Lin Ye’s voice was like watercolor bleeding across paper, leaving a deep imprint on Qi Si’s central nerves.
Qi Si swallowed. A taut string tightened in her mind, stopping her from letting her thoughts run wild. Her voice lowered by a few degrees. “I can go to the convenience store and buy you a suppressant. Which brand do you… usually use?”
Lin Ye laughed despite herself. There was actually an Alpha who, after smelling her pheromones, could still restrain herself like this. And the other party looked very young, tender as the tips of tea leaves in a spring tea garden, as if one careless pinch would snap her stem and leaves.
She looked at Qi Si with hidden meaning and explained, “The so-called suppressants sold on the market are actually pheromone biosimilars. Their effect is nothing more than scratching an itch through a boot. If you want a real suppressant, you still need an Alpha’s pheromones.”
Qi Si leaned slightly closer and lowered her voice, asking politely, “Do you have a fixed Alpha partner? Do you need me to take you somewhere?”
The moment she came closer, Lin Ye had entertained other thoughts. But after hearing her innocent question, Lin Ye lost composure and cursed, “Are you a pig?”
Qi Si: “!”
Her eyes widened as she said in disbelief, “Are you really Boss Zhou’s friend?”
Lin Ye sneered. “Zhou Danqing?”
“Boss Zhou is kind and gentle. She never loses her temper at employees.” Qi Si muttered to herself. Even if she was a corporate slave, she could not be cursed at for no reason, could she? She had to fight back.
After racking her brain, Qi Si said softly, “But you’re like a lunatic.”
Lin Ye was astonished. “What did you say?”
“If you didn’t hear it, forget it.” A low-level corporate slave would never dare repeat a complaint a second time.
Lin Ye laughed out loud, her body leaning slightly backward. That smile seemed to possess some kind of magic, and Qi Si stared at it in a daze.
She heard me insult her.
If that was the case, why was she so happy?
Qi Si silently sighed. Then she thought again that maybe Lin Ye really was drunk, or perhaps she had encountered something unsatisfying in life—just like unlucky Qi Si herself.
After she finished Su Moxiao’s class today, she had also felt an urge to destroy the world.
Su Moxiao’s hypocrisy disgusted her, and those bootlickers in university who flocked around Su Moxiao were even more annoying than flies. Qi Si would rather exhaust herself at the bar than return to that so-called “ivory tower” society.
It wasn’t aimed at you.
She just hated everyone.
In that sense, wasn’t Qi Si the same?
Lin Ye sat on the sofa in a daze and reached for the glass on the coffee table. The moment she touched the glass, the back of her hand was covered by the girl’s slightly warm hand.
“Don’t drink anymore. I’ll take you home.” Qi Si’s tone was a little firmer than before.
Lin Ye did not object, so Qi Si took the initiative to approach and helped her stand.
The moment their bodies touched, Lin Ye once again smelled that scent like a clear breeze and bright moon in the mountains. Her eyes widened, and as though all strength had left her body, she leaned limply against Qi Si.
It was an impulse she found difficult to control. She felt shocked and furious about it, but her body had no strength. The more she struggled, the more it looked like seduction. In the end, she completely collapsed against the girl, like an indecent older rogue.
Such fragrant, fragrant Alpha pheromones. Didn’t people say Alphas were all stinky?
With misty eyes, Lin Ye once again confirmed the girl’s expression.
Concern, tension, confusion, uncertainty—all kinds of complicated emotions appeared in those clean, bright eyes, except for the one Lin Ye wanted to see.
Even the tiniest trace of losing control would have been fine.
How could there be an Alpha who had no reaction to her pheromones?
Lin Ye hated this Alpha.
Hated her to death.
“Mm.” Qi Si had to use all her strength just to barely support her with one arm and keep her from falling. If her core strength had not been steady enough, she might have already fallen flat on her face.
The other woman clearly looked so slender. How could she be so heavy when carried?
Qi Si supported her with some difficulty and whispered, “Can you walk on your own?”
A sharp pain tugged at her scalp. At some point, the older Omega woman had grabbed her ponytail.
And with quite a lot of force.
Qi Si closed one eye in pain but did not make a sound, like an emotional trash can letting someone vent on her.
“Carry me.” The woman gave the fierce command in the softest, most delicate voice.
“All right.” Qi Si’s tone sounded helpless, but when she carried Lin Ye, she was not careless in the slightest.
Her strength was steady. She drew in a breath, crouched down, and lifted the woman onto her back. She even picked up the inconspicuous bag Lin Ye had left on the sofa.
Rather considerate, too.
Lin Ye quietly lay on her back, her beautiful, misty peach blossom eyes open, no one knowing what she was thinking. Her breathing gradually steadied.
Through the white shirt, the girl carried the faint smell of sweat after a full day of work. Covered by her light pheromones, it was not unpleasant at all. It even smelled a little nice.
Zhou Danqing’s car was parked right outside the bar. It was a coffee-colored two-seater sports car with smooth lines and a high-quality finish. Qi Si had seen her boss drive this car before and had not thought it was anything special at the time. But when it was her turn to touch the steering wheel, she still let out a small “wow,” drawing a sideways glance from the woman in the passenger seat.
The headlights illuminated the lonely street at dawn. A slight chill seeped into the air. Qi Si and the other woman both remained silent, and only the low vibration of the engine could be heard inside the car.
For two not-too-long minutes, Lin Ye looked curiously at this tender little brat like an observer. Qi Si looked extremely excited, the corners of her lips unable to stop curving upward. But she was not an impatient person. She did not hurry to drive the car out and seemed to be thinking about something.
In the end, she leaned her body toward Lin Ye, burrowing into her arms like a cat. Her cool long hair fell onto Lin Ye’s lap as her hand searched around Lin Ye’s waist.
Lin Ye quietly drew in a breath, her body stiffening slightly. She thought she would be able to smell the unique scent belonging to an Alpha from the girl. But in truth, all she smelled was the simple fragrance of shampoo. This beautiful little Alpha seemed to have no flaws to find.
Qi Si lowered her head, found the seat belt at Lin Ye’s waist, fastened it for her, and only after checking that nothing had been missed did she step on the accelerator and drive the car out of the block.
When they passed a twenty-four-hour convenience store, Qi Si got out and bought a bottle of suppressant, then handed it to Lin Ye through the car window.
Lin Ye rested her head against the headrest and looked at her through the window. Only after a while did she take the suppressant and inhale once, as if taking oxygen.
Qi Si drank a can of Fanta outside the car, threw the can away, and returned to the driver’s seat. Sure enough, the smell of Omega pheromones inside the car had faded.
Neither of them spoke the whole way. It was not until Qi Si drove to the entrance of the residential complex that she finally broke the silence. “Sister, which building do you live in?”
Lin Ye’s eyelashes trembled faintly. She looked out the window, cold and disdainful. “Stop here. You can leave.”
With a bang, the car door was shut. The woman carried a small white bag and walked inside in high heels, her steps unsteady.
So dark.
Lin Ye’s drunkenness cleared by more than half. By the dim streetlights, she struggled to make out the road.
Today, she was wearing a pair of high heels she did not often wear, so she did not dare take large steps.
Behind her, the car headlights switched to high beams. Two bright beams shone over clearly, thoughtfully lighting the road beneath her feet. The light did not move for a long time.
That pretty little Alpha was still watching her from behind.
The headlights stretched Lin Ye’s shadow long, making it look like an eccentric spirit walking alone.
Only after she turned onto a small path where she could no longer be seen did the headlights change direction.
Qi Si glanced at the time. Her phone showed 02:33.
At this hour, the dormitory doors had long been locked. If she forced someone to open them, the dorm supervisor would scold her, and going back would also disturb her roommates.
She still had a theory class tomorrow morning and had to be in the classroom by 8:30.
After weighing her options, Qi Si parked the car at the entrance of the residential complex and prepared to make do in the car for the night.
After dawn, the light stung her eyes so much that Qi Si no longer felt sleepy. She glanced at the time. It was only 06:46.
The aroma from a breakfast stall by the road drifted over. Qi Si went over to line up. Someone also joined the line behind her, but after taking one look at her, that person showed a surprised expression and immediately turned around and walked away.
Qi Si: “?”
She bought three buns and a pack of soy milk, returned to the car, and ate with great satisfaction, carefully making sure not to dirty her boss’s car. Then she opened the car door and went to the roadside to throw away the trash.
“Qi Si, is that your car?”
Behind her, Su Moxiao’s voice made her freeze slightly.
