Transmigrated as the Cannon Fodder Marked by the Villain (GL) - Chapter 48
“Ruan Bao, be good, listen to me,” Fu Qingyun said, touching her phone: “Maybe Xuan Yu needs me urgently.”
Fu Qingyun answered the call. Ruan Jiyan, completely unrestrained, rubbed against her, making her parched. Fu Qingyun embraced her, preventing her from moving too much: “Hello, Xuan Yu.”
“Fu Qingyun, are you free right now? Can you come meet me?”
Fu Qingyun had the speakerphone on, so Ruan Jiyan naturally heard what the other person said. She tilted Fu Qingyun’s chin, kissed her lips, and then whispered a gasp close to Fu Qingyun’s ear.
“Mmm… Sister…”
The voice on the other end ceased abruptly. Time seemed to stop at that moment.
Fu Qingyun knew the moan was deliberately made by Ruan Jiyan. She helplessly poked the other woman’s forehead and continued: “Do you need me for something urgent?”
She and Ruan Jiyan were currently in a fire meets tinder situation, completely out of control. The person lying on top of her looked annoyed and gritted her teeth, enduring the full-body discomfort: “Xuan Yu, if it’s not urgent, can I find you later?”
“Mhm…”
A chill ran across Fu Qingyun’s chest. Ruan Jiyan’s hand circled behind Fu Qingyun and subtly unhooked her bra clasp. Hearing the other woman involuntarily let out a sound, she smiled with satisfaction.
Fu Qingyun mouthed: Stop it.
“Hmph.”
After a moment, Xuan Yu’s voice came through: “Okay, I’ll send you the location later.”
The call ended. Ruan Jiyan eagerly shifted her position upwards.
“Sister, are you ready?”
A faint shimmer flashed in Fu Qingyun’s eyes. She licked her full lips with a playful smile: “Bring it on.”
Their clothes were scattered on the floor, piled on top of each other. Fu Qingyun’s smooth, sexy lower back was deeply recessed. Fine, crystal clear beads of sweat pooled there, tracing the curve before dripping onto Ruan Jiyan’s long thigh.
Two hours later, the sky was already dark. The living room was a scene of disarray. Fu Qingyun’s bra was hanging on the television. She tried to get up to retrieve it, but Ruan Jiyan hooked her ankle, preventing her from leaving.
“Ruan Bao, let go.”
Although Fu Qingyun said this, she felt secretly pleased. She looked at Ruan Jiyan, who was lying beneath her, satiated, and couldn’t resist reaching out to caress the back of her neck.
“Does it hurt here?”
“Doesn’t hurt. It tickles a little.”
“Be good,” Fu Qingyun used one hand to support Ruan Jiyan’s waist and lifted her horizontally: “I’ll carry you to the shower.”
“Mhm.”
The “shower” lasted for over an hour. The bathroom was filled with a rich, aggressively overwhelming scent of pheromones. Sweet tea and red wine intertwined, their explosive power causing both of them to completely succumb.
The glass door of the shower reflected two figures. The warm yellow light seemed to have other intentions, merging them into one.
The phone in the living room rang again and again. Fu Qingyun, wrapped in a towel, stepped onto the carpet barefoot. Her neck and collarbone were covered in fine, dense bite marks, and red scratches crisscrossed her fair back.
“Fu Qingyun, are you done yet?”
“Mhm, done.”
Her voice sounded unusually hoarse. Just as her finger touched the map Xuan Yu had sent, she was hugged from behind.
“Sister, I’m going to miss you.”
Fu Qingyun got dressed and then used concealer to cover the hickeys and scratches on her neck. Ruan Jiyan always liked to leave marks of varying depths on her. Fu Qingyun often thought about retaliating, but she only ever thought about it. What she actually delivered were gentle, lingering kisses. She simply couldn’t bear to hurt her.
The location Xuan Yu sent was a commercial street quite far from here. She also sent a photo of a coffee shop. Fu Qingyun got into the car. She put a sweet and sour candy in her mouth—Ruan Jiyan’s favorite kind of soft candy.
Arriving at the coffee shop, Fu Qingyun parked the car outside, grabbed her bag, and walked in. The staff immediately became more enthusiastic, seeing an Alpha of extraordinary presence.
“Welcome.”
Xuan Yu messaged her, telling Fu Qingyun to walk further inside. Although she couldn’t figure out why she had to be so secretive, Fu Qingyun didn’t overthink it and followed Xuan Yu’s instructions.
She saw Xuan Yu in the innermost private room, and Qiao Yunjin was sitting next to her.
“Xuan Yu, what are you…”
Xuan Yu lowered her head, silent. Qiao Yunjin leisurely typed on her phone and then pressed send. Unexpectedly, a new message popped up on Fu Qingyun and Xuan Yu’s chat interface.
【You finally came.】
It seemed Qiao Yunjin had forced Xuan Yu to call and message her, leading her to this coffee shop. No wonder she hadn’t seen any other customers when she came in. It was simply a trap set by the other woman.
“Have a seat, Yun’er.”
“Just say what you want to say. I don’t want to waste time with you.”
Facing the cold and indifferent Fu Qingyun, Qiao Yunjin wasn’t annoyed. Instead, she stroked Xuan Yu’s hair like a small pet, patted her back, and said, “You’re not needed here anymore. Go amuse yourself.”
Xuan Yu bit her lower lip, her eyes red, as she stood up. She stared deeply at Fu Qingyun, her eyes filled with endless remorse. Being threatened and forced to betray the friend who had once helped her, Xuan Yu fiercely pinched her own arm, trying to regain clarity through the cold air blowing on her face.
“Yun’er, your attitude towards me is getting worse,” Qiao Yunjin lit a cigarette and started blowing smoke. Her eyes rested ambiguously on Fu Qingyun: “But I like it.”
Fu Qingyun couldn’t stand the smell of smoke, and Qiao Yunjin’s last words made her skin crawl. She couldn’t figure out what the woman was up to. Leaving quickly was the correct choice.
“It seems my Yun’er can’t wait.”
Qiao Yunjin took an envelope from her bag and placed it in front of Fu Qingyun, a smile playing on her lips: “Guess what this is?”
The moment she pulled out the photos, Fu Qingyun’s heart sank, instantly freezing in an ice cave.
The stack of photos contained about seven or eight pictures. Each one showed Ruan Jiyan bound by her limbs, abandoned on a bed, broken and helpless. This scene mirrored the day she transmigrated. Fu Qingyun guessed these photos were taken by Qiao Yunjin at that time.
“Qiao Yunjin, are you threatening me with these photos?”
Qiao Yunjin gently exhaled a smoke ring, undeniably: “You don’t want to ruin her reputation, do you?”
Fu Qingyun’s hand gripping the coffee cup tightened. Veins slightly bulged on the back of her fair hand: “Qiao Yunjin, what exactly do you want?”
“What do I want?”
Qiao Yunjin extinguished the cigarette and leaned closer: “Didn’t Yun’er always know? Why are you asking the obvious today?”
“You’re dreaming.”
Fu Qingyun tightly clutched the envelope containing the photos. She felt an urge to tear them all to shreds, but she knew that these photos were merely Qiao Yunjin’s way of provoking her and negotiating terms.
“Give me the original copies.”
“Not bad. Yun’er has been with that little bitch for so long, and you’ve already forgotten how to negotiate with your sister.”
“Ruan Jiyan is my lover. You have no right to slander her.”
“Lover?” Qiao Yunjin looked as if she had heard a hilarious joke. She leaned against the sofa, laughing hysterically: “You said lover? You love her deeply, but have you ever considered if she loves you, the person, or your money?”
“Qiao Yunjin, have you said enough?”
A faint anger surfaced on Fu Qingyun’s face. She stood up, tightly clutching the photos, towering over Qiao Yunjin, who was lounging on the sofa:
“I don’t care what your schemes are. You can come straight for me. If these photos of Ruan Jiyan are leaked, I will not let you get away with it.”
The Qiao Corporation and the Fu family have had a cooperative relationship for decades. Fu Qingyun couldn’t risk severing ties with her for the sake of the entire Fu family’s interests.
“You truly care for her. So what am I to you?” Qiao Yunjin supported herself on the sofa and stood up. She walked up to Fu Qingyun: “Tell me, what am I?”
“You are nothing.”
Fu Qingyun didn’t understand Qiao Yunjin’s feelings for her. She was not the original person, and Qiao Yunjin didn’t even truly love her.
“It’s all in the past, Qiao Yunjin. We ended a long time ago.”
“Not yet. As long as those photos are in my hands for one day, you won’t forget me for one moment.”
Fu Qingyun turned to leave. Qiao Yunjin simply stood there, smiling, without trying to stop her. When Fu Qingyun reached the door, she saw Xuan Yu squatting on the floor, hugging her knees. Hearing the movement, Xuan Yu looked up, meeting Fu Qingyun’s calm, expressionless eyes.
“Fu Qingyun, I’m sorry.”
“Xuan Yu, this is not your fault. You should break up with her as soon as possible.”
“I can’t,” Xuan Yu shook her head violently: “My mother’s illness hasn’t healed. If CEO Qiao orders the machines to be shut off, my mother will surely die. I… I can’t leave. I have to listen to her…”
“But you…”
Fu Qingyun spoke hesitantly. She was so angry that her chest suddenly tightened, and she almost couldn’t catch her breath.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier…”
Xuan Yu sobbed uncontrollably: “Fu Qingyun, hurry up and leave.”
Hearing Xuan Yu’s urging, Fu Qingyun sensed something was wrong. Seeing that Xuan Yu had to stay, she got into the driver’s seat and sped away.
The envelope containing the photos was in her bag on the passenger seat. Fu Qingyun kept glancing at it. It felt like a ticking time bomb, ready to instantly blow her and Ruan Jiyan into ashes.
The car sped down the busy street. Fu Qingyun used the navigation to find a shortcut to get home quickly. She rubbed her temples in frustration. There were obstacles ahead. Fu Qingyun hit the brakes, but unexpectedly, an accident occurred.
The brakes failed!
Fu Qingyun managed to stay clear-headed in the crisis. She immediately shouted into her phone: “Quick, dial 119 and 120!”
The silver car sped forward in the darkness. Fu Qingyun’s desperate efforts to press the brakes were futile. A violent force struck, and she, along with the car, flipped into the ditch ahead.
