Early in the morning, Ye Xinuo sat up in bed while clutching her hungover head. Her head hurt and felt swollen, and she was so uncomfortable that she could not help retching twice.
Last night, her original intention had been to get Qin Moyan drunk. She had not expected herself to be the one who turned into a puddle of mud. That woman’s alcohol tolerance was simply too good.
“You’re awake.”

Qin Moyan said, “This is my home.”

Then she felt a chill on her chest. She looked down, then calmly raised her head. “We’re both women. So what if I stood naked in front of you?”
“Now that Miss Ye is awake, can you go back to your own home?” Qin Moyan did not continue the conversation and directly ordered her to leave.
“Grrr~” Ye Xinuo’s stomach growled at just the right time.
As Qin Moyan turned and walked out, she said, “I didn’t prepare breakfast for Miss Ye.”
Ye Xinuo got up and put on her clothes… Wait… Why did she have a change of clothes at Qin Moyan’s home?

Ye Xinuo smiled without warmth. “Thank you so much for last night, Director Qin. I’ll treat you to a meal another day.”
“Mm.” Qin Moyan walked over and politely saw Ye Xinuo to the door.
Standing in the elevator, Ye Xinuo lightly thumped her chest. She could not drink like that again in the future, especially not in front of Qin Moyan. Fortunately, Qin Moyan was a woman. If it had been someone else, it really might have been a little dangerous.
To save time, she directly took a taxi home. On the way, she called Yu Qing.
As soon as the call connected, Ye Xinuo asked, “Did it go smoothly?”

“Mm, I know.” Ye Xinuo answered softly. “I’ll go home, clean up, and then head to the company. See you later.”
Yu Qing knew that persuading Ye Xinuo to rest at home would be useless, so she said, “All right. Bye-bye.”
After learning that Yu Qing had successfully played the oriole behind the mantis, Ye Xinuo felt a little better. She comforted herself that the process was not important as long as the result was good.
After seeing Ye Xinuo off, Qin Moyan sat upright on the sofa and browsed stock market and financial news. After a while, a call came in. She put on her earphones and answered.
“Boss, Inston reached a cooperation with Yesheng.” The voice on the other end carried annoyance. “A big fish got away just like that.”
Qin Moyan did not stop what she was doing and said, “It’s just one deal. There’s no need to dwell on it.”
“Boss, I don’t quite understand. If you had shown up last night, that deal would definitely have been ours. But even though you knew President Ye was deliberately holding you back, why did you still go along with her? Is there some bigger plan?”
“She was drunk.”

“Then, Boss, I’ll go get busy.” The person on the other end quickly hung up.

“Come in.”
Yu Qing walked in holding several folders. “Lu Qiang has already reported to the finance office of the Xmate R&D department.”
“Mm.” Ye Xinuo opened her eyes again. “Then today, let’s go around the other departments.”
“Nuonuo, your complexion doesn’t look good. Are you all right?” Yu Qing asked worriedly.
“I’m fi—” Ye Xinuo spoke while standing up, but she had only said two words when she collapsed to the floor.
“Nuonuo!”
Yu Qing patted Ye Xinuo several times. Seeing no sign that she was waking up, she immediately called emergency services.
Ye Xinuo woke up on the way to the hospital and stubbornly insisted on returning to the company.
Yu Qing grabbed Ye Xinuo by the collar and said angrily, “Can’t you take care of your own body a little? You’ve been working like a madwoman lately, not eating properly, not resting properly. Are you trying to go down and find the old master right now?”
Ye Xinuo looked away and bit her lip without speaking.
She was afraid. Afraid that she would waste this chance to live again. Even more afraid that this was just a dream, and that she might wake up at any moment.
She wanted to use all her strength to protect what her father had left her. She wanted to race against time. She wanted Tang Jie to pay the price for what he had done.

You don’t have to push yourself like this.” Yu Qing gently stroked Ye Xinuo’s hair. “To me, you’re like a real younger sister. My mother is already gone.
