The Cold Alpha's Black Lotus O Strategy Plan (GL) - Chapter 25
“You said she wouldn’t continue with the lawsuit, Chen Gang! You clearly promised me!”
Outside the dormitory building, Fang Xiaohe threw the court summons in front of Chen Gang.
“You lied to me!”
Chen Gang looked at Fang Xiaohe impatiently, then glanced up at the windows of the Omega dormitory.
“Has that bitch come back yet?”
“I…”
Fang Xiaohe hesitated.
“I haven’t gone back. I haven’t returned for several days.”
Chen Gang’s expression twisted.
He seized Fang Xiaohe by both shoulders.
“Go and plead with her. Aren’t you good friends? Just beg her to withdraw the lawsuit.”
Fang Xiaohe froze.
“We… How could we possibly be good friends?”
Chen Gang tightened his grip on her shoulders.
“Do you think I was blind at the orphanage? Go and beg her. If you beg, she’ll definitely withdraw the case!”
Fang Xiaohe stared at him in disbelief.
“You want me to plead with her? Chen Gang… If it hadn’t been for you, I would never have made those diary entries public!”
Chen Gang’s expression contorted.
“Fine. Don’t go. If you refuse, then wait for both of us to die together!”
Fang Xiaohe’s face turned deathly pale. Under Chen Gang’s brute strength, she swayed as though she might collapse.
“I… I…”
“Bitch.”
Chen Gang lowered his head and stared at her threateningly.
“Who do you think you are? If you don’t resolve this, those videos and photographs…”
“You know what will happen to you.”
Fang Xiaohe felt as though she had fallen into an abyss.
Her hands trembled uncontrollably. She struggled to breathe, her entire body appearing ready to collapse at any moment as everything before her blurred.
Suddenly, someone patted her.
Fang Xiaohe jolted violently and whipped her head toward the person beside her.
“What’s wrong with you?”
Xiaobai stood there holding a cup of instant noodles, looking at Fang Xiaohe curiously.
She regarded her with concern and offered her a tissue.
“Why is your forehead covered in sweat?”
Fang Xiaohe returned to her senses.
Only then did she realize that, at some point, she had already returned to the dormitory.
“I-It’s nothing…”
Xiaobai nodded, bit down on the plastic fork from her noodles, and returned to her seat.
“X-Xiaobai, Sique… Is she coming back today?”
Fang Xiaohe had her back to Xiaobai, her voice extremely soft.
Xiaobai made a questioning sound, indicating that she had not heard clearly.
Fang Xiaohe took a deep breath.
“I said…”
The lock turned.
Jin Sique entered with a backpack over her shoulder.
“Finished with class?” Xiaobai greeted her.
Jin Sique gave a quiet acknowledgment and went to the balcony to wash her hands.
Seeing Fang Xiaohe, she smiled.
“Xiaohe came back?”
Fang Xiaohe muttered an acknowledgment.
She turned away and rubbed her hand against the seam of her trousers.
Lowering her gaze, she called out just as Jin Sique was about to leave.
“Sique, could you… withdraw the lawsuit?”
Amusement appeared in Jin Sique’s eyes.
She made a puzzled sound, turned off the faucet, and lightly shook the water from her hands before taking out a handkerchief to dry them.
“The trial is in a few days. Wouldn’t withdrawing now be rather troublesome?”
Fang Xiaohe breathed heavily, her eyes bloodshot and nearly splitting.
“…”
Xiaobai wore cat-ear headphones and typed rapidly at the keyboard with both hands.
A sudden loud crash came from the balcony.
She instinctively threw down her mouse and clutched her head, wailing.
“Ahhh! I died again!”
“What are you…”
Xiaobai turned around and immediately swallowed the rest of her sentence.
Fang Xiaohe was kneeling on the floor.
Both hands tightly clutched the hem of Jin Sique’s hoodie, and her voice choked with sobs.
“I’m begging you, Sique. Withdraw the lawsuit…”
“I was wrong. Let me go. Please let me go.”
Xiaobai: “…”
Jin Sique stood sideways with her back toward the room.
From Xiaobai’s position, she could not see the bottomless smile in Jin Sique’s eyes above the faintly raised corners of her mouth.
“Zhongcai made the decision,” Jin Sique explained. “Once she decides something, it can never be changed.”
“But if you don’t withdraw it—if you don’t, Chen Gang won’t let me go!”
Fang Xiaohe shouted incoherently, shuffling urgently toward Jin Sique on her knees.
“He… He’ll release those videos… Those…”
“My videos and photographs. He’ll post all of them!”
Xiaobai held her instant noodles, too stunned even to chew.
“You and Chen Gang are close?” Jin Sique asked.
Fang Xiaohe froze.
She wiped the tears covering her face and nodded frantically.
“I… He often made me dress up as you…”
Jin Sique raised an eyebrow slightly.
She crouched until she was level with Fang Xiaohe.
“What else?”
Fang Xiaohe’s gaze flickered.
“A-And… I wrote the diary.”
“I was jealous and envious of you, so I pretended to be you and wrote those entries.”
“Sique, Sique, I never made those diaries public! You have to believe me!”
“It was all Chen Gang. He accidentally discovered them, and then…”
“If those videos and photographs are released, I’ll be finished!”
“Please let me go. Spare me.”
“We’re still good friends, just like we were at the orphanage. We taught the children together, reserved seats at the library together, and ate together…”
Fang Xiaohe pleaded, “Sique, please?”
Jin Sique gently lifted Fang Xiaohe’s chin.
She looked at the tear-washed face before her and, for one instant, felt that it overlapped with her own from three years earlier.
Jin Sique leaned down and whispered beside Fang Xiaohe’s ear:
“You disgust me.”
“Just like I disgusted myself several years ago.”
Fang Xiaohe froze.
Jin Sique rubbed her head.
From Xiaobai’s angle, it appeared as though she were comforting Fang Xiaohe.
“Your diary was rather well written.”
Fang Xiaohe looked at her in confusion.
Jin Sique stood and slipped her hands into her pockets.
“You understand me very well. I truly am a hypocritical person.”
As Fang Xiaohe’s expression gradually changed to astonishment, Jin Sique said quietly, “I won’t withdraw the lawsuit.”
“Mm. I also hope Chen Gang keeps his promise.”
Fang Xiaohe’s breathing quickened.
Her expression collapsed into utter humiliation and despair.
She grabbed a washbasin from the side and hurled it hysterically at Jin Sique.
“Sique!”
Xiaobai immediately stood.
Her instant noodles overturned onto the floor as she pulled Jin Sique away from the balcony and shouted furiously at Fang Xiaohe.
“Fang Xiaohe, are you insane?”
“Sique, are you all right?”
Jin Sique’s face was pale.
She shook her head helplessly.
“You shouldn’t return to the dormitory for the next few days,” Xiaobai comforted her. “Stay with your Sister.”
“Wanqing and I will handle things at the university. Once this is over…”
Jin Sique nodded and hastily accepted Xiaobai’s suggestion.
As she wiped the water from her clothes, she raised her head.
Her gaze passed over Xiaobai and landed on Fang Xiaohe on the balcony.
She gave Fang Xiaohe a seemingly gentle smile.
Then she patted the pocket of her hoodie, revealing the distinct outline of a voice recorder.
Fang Xiaohe felt as though she had fallen into an icy cellar.
…
“Sique, you’re back?”
Aunt Guo poked her head out from the kitchen.
“Have your studies been especially busy lately? Zhongcai hasn’t returned for two days either.”
Jin Sique placed her backpack on the sofa and froze.
“She hasn’t come back for several days?”
Aunt Guo carried out the dishes and a packed meal box.
“That’s right. It seems a new colleague arrived, and she can’t get away from all the business engagements.”
“I asked Xiao Wang to deliver dinner to her. Food from outside isn’t good for the stomach.”
Hearing this, Jin Sique picked up the backpack she had just set down and placed it over her shoulder again.
“I’ll take it.”
—
“You’re dissatisfied with this one and that one. Boss, what exactly do you like?”
Miss Bai’s golden hair gleamed in the spring night.
Despite the cool evening, she wore light clothing and held a stack of printed résumés as she leaned against the armrest of Lü Zhongcai’s wheelchair.
“President! President!”
052 cried in terror.
“Make her get off immediately!”
Lü Zhongcai accepted the résumés and spread them across the desk one by one.
She casually pointed at one.
“Abner. He previously served as a senior adviser to the president of FU Fund. I doubt he would lower himself to become my vice president.”
She pointed at another.
“This person left LE and now wants to use this opportunity to return to headquarters. Wishful thinking.”
Then she pointed again, this time not even remembering the candidate’s name.
“This one was involved in an Alpha scandal. Sorry.”
Miss Bai froze.
She straightened slightly from where she had been leaning close to Lü Zhongcai and said coquettishly, “Hey, my little boss. Could it be that you’re…”
The office intercom rang.
Lü Zhongcai pressed the answer button.
A call transferred from reception to the executive assistant was forwarded once again to her.
“President Lü, Miss Jin from Jingwan Villa is here. She brought you a late-night meal.”
“Jin?”
Miss Bai looked curious, then glanced through the window at the night sky filled with falling stars.
“Little boss, a young woman is delivering food to you this late?”
“Let her come up,” Lü Zhongcai said.
“Yes.”
Lü Zhongcai ended the call and used the touchscreen on her desk to unlock the president’s office.
052 announced, “It is currently around nine in the evening. The estimated time required for the black lotus to reach the office is…”
The office door opened automatically.
Jin Sique stood obediently at the entrance with a backpack over her shoulder and a meal bag in her hand, raising her eyes to look inside.
Miss Bai was leaning forward.
One hand rested on Lü Zhongcai’s wheelchair armrest, while the other was braced against the desk as she looked at the documents in front of Lü Zhongcai.
From Jin Sique’s angle, the position appeared almost like a half-embrace.
Miss Bai seemed to have enclosed Lü Zhongcai within her territory, as though declaring some form of ownership.
For a brief moment, the corners of Jin Sique’s mouth stiffened.
The outer edge of her right eyebrow twitched slightly.
052 said regretfully, “It was probably the executive assistant. He is an exceptionally perceptive Alpha and may already have guessed the intimate nature of your relationship.”
“He likely informed reception to let Jin Sique enter before calling you for instructions.”
“Zhongcai.”
Jin Sique smiled.
With both hands folded in front of her, she walked step by step toward Lü Zhongcai and Miss Bai.
Elizabeth turned around.
Upon seeing the seemingly unfamiliar Omega, she froze where she stood.
“The black lotus is extremely angry right now,” 052 said. “After all, the two of you agreed that during the contractual period, you would remain faithful to your marriage.”
“Wahahahaha!”
Lü Zhongcai: “…”
