After dropping Shen Mo off at S.G., Su Li drove to Su Corp headquarters.
She had an important meeting with the R&D department this morning—on the project proposal for a new high-end Bluetooth headset.
The previous debut of the K12 helped them secure a large order from “Green Field,” further boosting Su Corp’s influence in the industry. But in addition to over-ear headphones, Su Li also hoped to apply the latest technology from the K12 to the Bluetooth headset sector to capture more market share.
The difficulty of this was much lower than the original development of the K12, as the core technology was already mature and only required some basic adaptation for Bluetooth headsets.
“Engineer Qian? Engineer Qian?” Su Li tapped on the table.
“Uh…” Qian Youlin came back to his senses. “President Su?”
“What’s wrong? Are you spacing out?” Su Li was a little amused. “That’s rare; I remember you were always the most attentive one in meetings.
“Was the content I was discussing too boring?”
“No, no.” Qian Youlin quickly sat up straight.
He explained: “Perhaps I didn’t sleep well last night, so my mind is a bit unfocused today.”
“Rest and relaxation are very important. The R&D department hasn’t been under much pressure lately, so you should enjoy life more.” Su Li said casually, then asked the others, “Do you have any other objections to the schedule in the document?”
Everyone replied in unison: “No.”
“Good.” Su Li nodded. “Then we’ll temporarily proceed with product development according to this schedule.”
She looked down and said to Qian Youlin again: “Engineer Qian, if you encounter any difficulties during the development process, let me know immediately. The company will overcome all obstacles to help you tackle the challenges.”
“Understood.” Qian Youlin stood up, shook hands with Su Li in a polite gesture, and then left the conference room with his subordinates.
Beside her, the young assistant excitedly asked: “President Su, if the K12 Bluetooth headset can be developed before November, will Su Corp be able to shine brilliantly at the G City Technology Exhibition this year?”
“Yes.” Su Li smiled at her. “I remember you’ve been working here for over a year now, right? Did you go to the Technology Exhibition last year?”
The assistant shook her head: “No.”
She sighed and whispered: “I was supposed to go last year, but I offended Assistant Qiao… and she crossed me off the list.”
The previous two years were when Qiao Mumu was most favored by Su Li.
Su Li smiled and patted her shoulder: “You’ve worked hard.
“Work well, and we’ll go together this year.”
“Yes!” The assistant nodded vigorously and clenched her small fist, saying, “I won’t let you down.”
Su Li smiled: “You’re quite spirited, that’s good.”
After a busy day, at six o’clock in the afternoon, Su Li left the company on time and headed to S.G. to pick up Shen Mo.
She had already obtained a permanent pass from Shen Mo, so she didn’t need to register with the front desk and took the elevator directly to the top floor.
The top floor was very lively, with many elites coming and going. Su Li guessed it was probably because Shen Mo had just returned to work after a week’s absence, and various departments had countless reports and confirmations to make.
She spotted a familiar administrative assistant and went over to greet her: “Xiao Tan.”
Xiao Tan smiled and called out: “President Su! You’re here!”
Su Li curved her lips and asked: “Is President Shen going to work overtime today?”
“Oh, it’s been really busy today.” Xiao Tan wiped her forehead. “I’ve lost count of how many groups of people I’ve received. She probably will have to work overtime.”
Just as she finished speaking, at the end of the corridor, Shen Mo emerged from her office with a few people, still giving instructions as they walked towards the elevator.
Seeing Su Li, Shen Mo paused, then immediately turned and walked toward her: “Why didn’t you contact me when you came up?”
“I was afraid of disturbing your work.” In full view of everyone, Su Li was restrained and only touched the top of her head. “Where are you going? The conference room?”
“Hmm?” Shen Mo’s bright eyes were filled with confusion.
She then realized: “Not the conference room, it’s time to get off work now.”
Su Li chuckled: “President Shen is able to leave on time today?”
Shen Mo picked up her phone and glanced at the time: “No, including the time I waited for you, I worked overtime for half an hour.”
“So you timed your departure precisely for when I would arrive?” Su Li’s heart completely softened. “President Shen’s sense of time is amazing.”
“Let’s go.” Shen Mo naturally took her arm, completely disregarding the subordinates around them, and said gently, “Let’s go home.”
“Okay, let’s go home.” Su Li echoed with a smile, leading her toward the elevator.
As the two entered the top floor’s exclusive elevator, Su Li turned around and saw a dozen S.G. employees standing outside the elevator.
She pressed the door-open button: “Aren’t you… coming in?”
“No need, no need! You and President Shen go first!”
“Haha, I need to go to the 8th floor to grab something, I won’t take up your and President Shen’s time!”
“Take care, President Su, and please come back again soon!”
“…”
Su Li nodded awkwardly at them: “Then we’ll be going first.”
After the elevator door closed, she looked at Shen Mo next to her: “Are they quite afraid of you?”
Otherwise, those people wouldn’t dare take the same elevator as Shen Mo.
Shen Mo turned to look at her: “Then they must like you quite a bit.”
“Like me?” Su Li was puzzled. “Why?”
Shen Mo blinked, gesturing for her to guess.
Su Li realized: “So they like that I’m taking the stern President Shen away?” She stroked her chin: “Then my image in their eyes is quite righteous, indeed.”
Shen Mo squinted and chuckled.
That night, Shen Mo unexpectedly flipped over, pressing her entire body onto Su Li.
Su Li, who was just about to fall asleep, stiffened and opened her eyes to meet Shen Mo’s gaze.
Only a dim sleep light was on in the room. She couldn’t clearly see Shen Mo’s expression, only the fragmented starlight in her eyes.
Su Li asked groggily: “What’s wrong?”
“Su Li.” Shen Mo lowered her head and kissed her lips.
Then, she bit her lower lip, seeming to have gathered a great deal of courage to ask the question: “…Why aren’t we doing it?”
Su Li’s slow-witted brain processed the question: “Doing what?”
Shen Mo’s sense of shame was no longer enough for her to describe the matter in detail with words. She simply lowered her head, extended her pink tongue, and licked the gaps between Su Li’s lips, one after another.
Finding a chance, she even darted into Su Li’s mouth, trying hard to pry open her lover’s teeth and delve into the softest inner region.
Su Li finally understood.
She smiled and held Shen Mo’s shoulders, pushing her away: “Don’t tease.”
After being aroused by Shen Mo, her body had already reacted. She could only take deep breaths to calm herself down while coaxing her: “You just had a scare, and the doctor said you need good rest. Let’s not do that kind of thing for now.”
“But…” Shen Mo glared at her with dissatisfaction. “It’s been a long time!”
“Has it been long?” Su Li tried hard to think. “Didn’t we just get back from the neighboring province the week before last?”
“It’s been a long time…” Shen Mo pecked at the corner of her lips repeatedly. “Su Li, it’s been a very long time.”
She lowered her voice, which sounded a bit husky: “I really miss you.”
Su Li’s heart felt a little itchy too.
She asked: “How much do you miss me?”
Shen Mo pursed her lips, lifted her leg, and straddled Su Li’s waist, demonstrating her determination with action.
Su Li watched her next move expectantly, only to see Shen Mo reach out and grab the corner of her nightgown, intending to take it off.
Su Li didn’t cooperate, and Shen Mo’s first step was greatly hindered.
She breathed heavily with her mouth slightly open, her face showing a hint of grievance, and her wet eyes stared at Su Li.
Su Li’s rationality was giving its last bit of warmth: “Why don’t we sleep first? Let’s wait until tomorrow or the day after to take time off and go back to the hospital for a follow-up. We can… uh…”
Before she could finish, Shen Mo tugged at her own collar.
Under Su Li’s burning gaze, her silk nightgown soon silently dropped to the floor.
“The way you are…” Su Li couldn’t resist reaching out to her.
Shen Mo took her hand: “Don’t you like it?”
Su Li’s verbal function was starting to get chaotic: “I, I am…”
Shen Mo slowly leaned down, pressing their bodies tightly together: “I remember you said I look very beautiful like this and that you love it.”
Su Li loved saying such things in bed to tease Shen Mo, watching her look utterly bewitched, confused, and captivated by her actions and words. But she never expected that hearing those words repeated from Shen Mo’s mouth one day would make her blush as much as she was now.
“Cough.” Su Li licked her lips. “You remember all those things I said?”
She couldn’t help but ask: “How much do you remember?”
Shen Mo was embarrassed herself; a blush had spread from her cheeks to her earlobes and showed signs of extending across her whole body.
“You said I smell very nice…”
Su Li nodded, craning her neck.
Shen Mo adjusted her posture, offering the side of her neck to Su Li’s face.
She asked softly: “And now? Do I still smell nice tonight?”
A strong scent of white musk rushed at her, and Su Li nearly drowned in it.
She affectionately licked the pink skin in that spot, instinctively complimenting: “You do, you smell so nice.”
Shen Mo turned her head to look at her, then rubbed her face against Su Li’s lovingly.
“You smell nice too; I don’t smell as nice as you.”
She said this while pressing tightly against Su Li, and Su Li could feel every bit of vibration and tremor in her voice.
Su Li’s thumb trailed from Shen Mo’s arm upward, reaching her cheek, cupping her lover’s beautiful face, and she couldn’t help but lean in and kiss her repeatedly.
“My heart is beating so fast.” Shen Mo said.
“Pfft.” Su Li smiled charmingly. “Now you know the severity of the problem? Do you regret it?”
Shen Mo blinked, tilted her head, and pressed her ear against Su Li’s heart: “But Su Li, your heart is also beating so fast… ‘thump-thump, thump-thump’…”
“Is it?” Su Li pinched her earlobe. “Why is that?”
Shen Mo looked up: “You are clearly the same as me.”
“The same as what?” Su Li traced her eyes with her gaze.
“Your body is more honest than you are.” Shen Mo accused her softly, then leaned close to her ear. “Don’t betray your own body. I’m very soft today, why don’t you try?”
She took Su Li’s hand: “…Why don’t you try?”
Su Li felt that if she held back any longer, she would become a saint.
She could no longer resist, and with a flip, their positions were reversed. She braced herself on her arms, enveloping Shen Mo beneath her.
In the dim light, she stared intently at Shen Mo’s face.
Shen Mo’s gaze was clear. She met her eyes openly and even reached out to hook her neck: “I want a kiss…”
Su Li lowered her head and took her lips into hers.
Shen Mo’s lips were hot and soft. With just a gentle suckle, she immediately surrendered, guiding Su Li to deepen the kiss, presenting everything she was to the intruder, allowing the plunder.
Su Li held her halfway, feeling that Shen Mo had melted into a puddle of water.
“Vixen.” In a pause between kisses, she couldn’t help but comment.
“Hmm?” Shen Mo gasped softly, her eyes hazy as she looked at her.
She smacked her lips and demanded again: “More.”
“All yours.” Su Li’s breath hitched, and she immediately lowered her head again, locking Shen Mo firmly in her embrace.
An hour later.
Su Li carried Shen Mo into the bathroom and placed her in the freshly drawn warm water. Su Li had not satisfied herself, focusing only on tending to her lover, so Shen Mo was in excellent spirits. Sitting in the bathtub, she even had the energy to splash water with her feet.
Water splashed onto Su Li’s face. She flinched and said with a wry smile: “My little ancestor, it’s almost half past twelve. How are you still so spirited?”
“Su Li, I’m so happy.” Shen Mo leaned closer to her.
“Is that so?” Su Li cupped water in her hands and poured it over Shen Mo’s shoulder. “To make President Shen happy is my greatest fortune.”
Shen Mo’s eyes curved with a smile, and she gave her a quick peck on the corner of her lips.
Su Li thought for a moment and confirmed: “You don’t feel any discomfort, right?”
Shen Mo shook her head.
She pouted her lips and said: “There was nothing wrong with me in the first place.”
“Didn’t the doctor say your stomach wasn’t very good?” Su Li brought up the serious point. “You’ve been traveling for years and couldn’t eat on time, which is why you had stomach spasms when you were locked in the freezer.”
Shen Mo wrinkled her nose and asked again: “What does the stomach have to do with that kind of thing?”
“You…” Su Li couldn’t find a word to refute, and she blushed and laughed. “Fine, I can’t argue with you.”
She took a deep breath and looked at Shen Mo’s complexion again: “There really doesn’t seem to be anything wrong. I was just too nervous.”
Shen Mo took her wrist: “Su Li, wash with me.”
She obediently moved aside: “Come in.”
Su Li gasped: “Better not.” She cautioned: “You wash first. I’ll just quickly rinse off after you’re done.”
“Why?” Shen Mo narrowed her eyes, asking with dissatisfaction.
“My little ancestor!” Su Li angrily leaned in and bit her earlobe. “Listen to me.”
Her body was still tingling. If she actually went in to bathe together, they would probably be up until two in the morning.
“…Oh.” Shen Mo blinked.
Suddenly, she looked up: “Su Li.”
Su Li looked down at her: “Hmm?”
Shen Mo leaned close to her ear and whispered softly: “I want to do it again tomorrow.”
Su Li responded with a calm “Mhm” on the surface, but her heart was already churning with enormous waves.
She was stiff the whole time while helping Shen Mo clean up, then ushered her out and locked herself alone in the bathroom.
When she returned to bed, Shen Mo naturally snuggled close to her.
“Hmm?” Shen Mo was slightly confused. “Why are you so cold?”
Su Li muffled a reply: “The weather is hot, so I took a cold shower to cool down.”
“Oh.” Shen Mo nodded, then asked, “Did it work?”
“Yes, it worked too well…” Su Li grunted and pulled her into her arms, saying fiercely, “Now, sleep!”
“Okay.” Shen Mo nodded obediently, rested her head in Su Li’s arms, and quietly closed her eyes.
Outside the window, the moonlight was bright, and the wind had softened. All was silent in the world.
Gradually, Su Li could only hear her own and Shen Mo’s even breathing.
She touched Shen Mo’s hair, and in the darkness, silently said “Goodnight” to her lover. Finally, she also closed her eyes, allowing her consciousness to sink into the abyss of sleep.
