After I Became A Scumbag Alpha, the Female Lead Omega and I Both Fell Hard (Transmigration Into A Novel) - Chapter 8
The breeze in the courtyard swept past the flowers of late spring and tousled Ruan Tang’s bangs.
It threw her heart into disarray as well.
As though she had heard something utterly unbelievable, she abruptly raised her head and met Song Chenxi’s smiling eyes.
“No, it’s still early. I-I’ll go and come right back,” Ruan Tang insisted, her voice noticeably trembling.
She did not know whether her master was telling the truth. What if her master was only testing her? Then she would inevitably receive another vicious beating today.
Song Chenxi gently scratched the back of her head with her free hand.
They lived beneath the same roof and had shared physical intimacy countless times. They should have been the closest two people in the world, yet every one of their interactions was filled with wariness, fear, and all manner of inequality.
Ruan Tang’s life was far too exhausting.
Although Song Chenxi knew nothing about Ruan Tang’s past, she could clearly sense that Ruan Tang carried far more burdens than someone her age should ever have to bear.
If no one saved her, those burdens would crush her sooner or later.
Watching Ruan Tang’s trembling body made Song Chenxi’s heart ache.
“You truly don’t need to go. I’m not lying to you, and this isn’t a test. I sincerely mean it.”
After speaking, she slowly approached Ruan Tang.
Ruan Tang did not dare retreat, afraid that doing so might anger her master.
She clutched the hem of her clothes with both hands and bit her lower lip until it nearly bled.
Song Chenxi smiled bitterly, then looked toward the entrance.
“Come on. Let’s go home.”
Ruan Tang responded with a quiet “Mm” and obediently followed beside her.
Her heart was filled with confusion, leaving her distracted.
Suddenly, she tripped over something. With a muffled thud, Ruan Tang fell.
Hearing the sound, Song Chenxi turned around and discovered Ruan Tang sitting on the ground, her slender ankle twisted at an unnatural angle.
She immediately hurried over and crouched down, preparing to examine her for injuries.
Ruan Tang jolted in terror. She hunched her shoulders, and the wrists supporting her against the ground trembled incessantly.
“Ruan Tang, are you all right?”
The moment Song Chenxi finished speaking, Ruan Tang’s eyes widened. Her face was filled with horror and fear.
Song Chenxi suddenly remembered that, in the novel, the original Song Chenxi had enjoyed admiring the injuries on an Omega’s body. The more pain the Omega experienced, the more excited she became.
“Ruan Tang, try to relax. I won’t hurt you. I only want to see whether you’re injured.”
After saying this, Song Chenxi reached for Ruan Tang’s ankle.
“Hiss—!”
Ruan Tang bit her lip in pain, tears gathering in her eyes.
Song Chenxi removed her slipper and examined the ankle joint as it gradually turned dark blue and purple. Her beautiful brows immediately drew together.
“This is bad. I think you’ve sprained it.”
She pressed a finger against the swollen area and applied a little pressure, making Ruan Tang cry out in pain.
An Omega’s pain receptors were far more sensitive than an ordinary person’s. A sensation that would barely register for an Alpha would be magnified without limit in an Omega’s body.
“Does it hurt?”
Song Chenxi immediately stopped and moved her hand to an area that was even more swollen.
“What about here?”
“Ah—!”
Ruan Tang tightly closed her eyes, and two streams of tears spilled down her cheeks.
At the same time, she instinctively raised a hand to make the Alpha stop. Unexpectedly, her fingernail scratched the Alpha’s face.
Her eyes flew open, and she stared at Song Chenxi in terror.
“I-I’m sorry, Master. I-I didn’t mean to. I…”
The little woman truly had used some force. Before long, a red scratch appeared across Song Chenxi’s luminous, fair cheek.
“It’s fine,” she said calmly.
However, the Omega before her did not lower her guard. Instead, she began trembling even more violently in fear.
There was a reason Ruan Tang reacted this way.
One day, while the original Song Chenxi was brutally abusing her, Ruan Tang had resisted. The iron chain around her wrist swung into the original Song Chenxi’s face.
The original Song Chenxi immediately flew into a rage. Glaring at her with vicious eyes, she wrapped both hands around Ruan Tang’s throat and snarled through gritted teeth, “You bitch! How dare you hit me?”
She refused to release Ruan Tang until her face had turned red and she could barely breathe.
What followed was an even more brutal assault.
That time, Ruan Tang had been left bleeding below, and the pain tormented her throughout the entire night.
Song Chenxi nearly exploded with rage when she remembered this.
“This was my fault. I’m truly fine, so please don’t be afraid. You didn’t do anything wrong, and you don’t need to blame yourself.”
As she spoke, Song Chenxi carefully put Ruan Tang’s slipper back on her foot.
Ruan Tang did not dare make a sound. She lowered her gaze, moisture clouding her eyelashes.
“Let me help you up.”
Ruan Tang secretly glanced at her, her face deathly pale.
Song Chenxi carefully supported her.
“Try to see whether you can walk.”
Having received the instruction, Ruan Tang attempted to put weight on her ankle.
Suddenly, her shoulder dipped and her knee buckled. Losing her balance, she fell once again.
At that moment, Song Chenxi heard the sound of porcelain shattering.
Ruan Tang covered her mouth with her dirt-stained hands, releasing a quiet, anguished whimper.
She was dead for sure this time.
