After Mistakenly Marking a Sickly, Yandere Beautiful Omega, I Was Forced Into a Flash Marriage - Chapter 11
Luo Yan felt like her entire body was about to go “boom” and explode. The… the big villain had actually hugged her first? Was she… was she about to die?
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you shy?” Xue Wu felt the person in her arms grow incredibly stiff. Though she was warm, she was like a startled cub, huddled in her embrace without moving a muscle—even though she was nearly half a head taller than Xue Wu.
“N-no…” Luo Yan felt like weeping but had no idea what to do. She could only stay rigid and let herself be held, but her heartbeat was accelerating so much it felt like it was thundering against her own eardrums, clearly audible.
“N~o~? Then why do I feel you’re so stiff? You’re even shaking.”
Xue Wu seemed to have genuinely found a fun toy. She suddenly tilted her head and blew a soft breath into Luo Yan’s ear. The scent of sweet peach mixed with gardenia drifted over, causing Luo Yan’s ears to turn completely red, and the gland at the back of her neck began to heat up again.
“Miss… Miss Xue, I think I heard someone calling for you over there,” Luo Yan said, grasping at straws.
“Oh? Who?” Having had her fill of fun, Xue Wu finally released her slowly. However, her red lips brushed almost imperceptibly against Luo Yan’s equally red earlobe, making Luo Yan nearly lose control of her Alpha instincts to pin her down.
But she managed to endure it with great difficulty. This was a film set with people coming and going; who knew how many eyes were watching the big villain and her? She couldn’t afford to act recklessly and stir up trouble.
“You certainly have endurance,” Xue Wu remarked, giving her a look and let out an unreadable hum. “Your legs turn to jelly just facing an Alpha like Zhong Ting, yet you still try to play the hero.”
“…I told you, my leg cramped and I accidentally walked back. It was my leg’s own free will, not me,” Luo Yan said, her voice lacking conviction.
Xue Wu looked her up and down, noting her face which had flushed deep red at some point, and couldn’t help but laugh. “So you pinched my thigh last night just to make me hurt, is that it?”
“…!” She really is here to settle the score. This is terrible.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose.” Realizing she was in the wrong, Luo Yan apologized sincerely.
“Can a single apology erase the suffering I endured?”
“…It can’t. So, what do you want, Miss Xue?”
“I don’t lack anything.”
“Then…” Then why bring it up? Luo Yan was nearly driven mad by her teasing.
“That pinky ring on your hand is quite nice. Did you design it yourself?”
“…It’s just a piece of junk, not worth much.” Luo Yan hadn’t expected her to take an interest in her “trash” ring. She had only been here a few days, so it was definitely the original owner’s design—though it was very similar to a style she had designed in her previous life.
“You dare call something I’ve taken an interest in ‘junk’?” Xue Wu narrowed her eyes slightly, her tone growing dangerous.
Luo Yan immediately wilted. “I’ll design a better-looking one for you, okay?” There was even a hint of coaxing in her voice.
Xue Wu gave her a long look, saying neither yes nor no. It made Luo Yan’s skin crawl again. Dealing with the big villain required staying 120% alert; otherwise, she’d be eaten alive without knowing why.
“Do you have class later?” She shifted the topic.
Luo Yan was confused but answered, “Yes… but it’s not very important.” She caught a look from Xue Wu and immediately added the second part.
“Since you don’t have class, come watch me film. Give me some feedback.”
“???” Wait, what right did a layman like her have to give feedback?
“You can bring that Omega classmate of yours along, too.” Xue Wu tucked a lock of her wavy hair behind her ear, spoke to her nonchalantly, and walked away.
Luo Yan watched her receding back, feeling as though the scent of white peach and gardenia was still lingering under her nose. It was the big villain’s pheromone scent; it was surprisingly gentle, even though her personality was so hard to read.
Over the next hour or so, Luo Yan finally understood why Xue Wu wanted her to watch the filming.
The set was quite lively today, as many people were curious about the production. Moreover, it was a rare collaboration between Xue Wu and Zhong Ting; “CP fans” (shippers) had been waiting years for this, so naturally, they flocked to watch.
“Ahhh, I finally see ‘Snow in High Spring’ together! It’s been too long!”
“Do you think we’ll be lucky enough to be chosen as extras later?”
“The two of them standing together really, really look like a match, don’t they, Luo Yan?”
The last question came from Gong Lin. She looked toward them with a smile, asking Luo Yan with feigned casualness.
Recalling the scene of Xue Wu being harassed by Zhong Ting’s pheromones, Luo Yan couldn’t bring herself to lie and say they were a match, so she just pursed her lips and didn’t answer.
Standing on the second-floor corridor looking down, she could see the big villain and Zhong Ting standing in the center of the courtyard, chatting and laughing. At a glance, they did look like a good pair.
But for some reason, that realization didn’t make her very happy.
“Luo Yan, you don’t look very happy. Is it because you’re upset seeing Movie Queen Xue standing with another Alpha?”
“…How is that possible?!”
Hearing this, Luo Yan immediately snapped out of it and denied it without thinking. Joke’s on you—I wouldn’t dare like the big villain even if I wanted to. Do I have a death wish? Besides, her unhappiness and “liking” her were two completely different things.
“But you look so distracted, it’s hard not to wonder,” Gong Lin said truthfully.
“…You saw wrong.” Luo Yan would never admit that a fleeting, unidentifiable flicker of possessiveness had just crossed her mind. After all, she and the big villain had just been so intimate.
Now, seeing her with another Alpha so soon after, acting as if nothing had happened… it did feel a bit “subtle.” However, she chalked it up to Alpha instinct. In the ABO world, instinct sometimes dictated everything.
Just as Luo Yan wanted to look away and stop watching them, Xue Wu suddenly swept her gaze upward, making Luo Yan feel awkward again.
Xue Wu was undeniably beautiful. Every smile and glance was a soul-hooking lure. Meeting her eyes always caused Luo Yan’s heart to race; it required immense self-control just to look away.
It was truly frustrating. No wonder she used beauty traps to deal with so many people later; she certainly had the capital for it.
Xue Wu held her gaze for a moment and then actually gave her a sweet smile. Luo Yan dazed out for a second, nearly forgetting to breathe.
The big villain had changed her look for the scene. She was styled as a university student: her hair was slightly curled and pulled into a high ponytail, and she wore a simple white T-shirt with dark straight-leg jeans and flat shoes. She looked like an ordinary student.
Yet, this styling was exceptionally sweet, adding a touch of refreshing coolness to the sweltering summer day. Just looking at her felt like a breeze.
Watching her, Luo Yan’s ears began to burn. The scent of white peach pheromones seemed like it hadn’t fully dissipated from her nose.
She felt the woman was truly like a soul-snatching demon. At this moment, it felt like she was just one step away from leaning into Luo Yan’s ear to whisper: “Do I look good? Do you want to mark me?”
Exposed to that smiling gaze, Luo Yan didn’t dare stare for long. She turned her head away somewhat clumsily, terrified of creating a deeper connection. The big villain was truly not to be trifled with!
So, she cowardly looked away, breaking the eye contact.
Xue Wu glanced at her and found it boring for a second, but then her sharp eyes caught the reddened earlobe, and her lips curled into a good-humored smile again.
Luo Yan felt she couldn’t stay any longer, or she wouldn’t be able to hold out. Just as she was about to sneak away under the villain’s nose, a call of “Luo Yan” from below pinned her to the spot.
The bustling set suddenly fell silent at the sound of that sweet, alluring call. Every eye was focused on the big villain and her. Xue Wu, seemingly oblivious, kept her head tilted back and gave her a sweet smile: “Student Luo Yan, can you come down for a moment?”
Luo Yan: ……………….. I’m really scared. qvq
