Chapter 26.2

Luo Yan felt their progress was too fast—so fast she couldn’t quite react. She widened her eyes and looked at her, unsure of what to say. She opened her lips several times but nothing came out, which completely amused Xue Wu.

“Hey, Yanyan, why are you so dazed? If you’re unwilling, just tell me; I won’t force you.”

“…Sister A-Wu, don’t you think our progress is a bit too fast?” An Omega’s mouth is a lying ghost; if she weren’t going to force her, she wouldn’t have asked the question.

“Is it fast? Just treat me like your best friend; you don’t need to feel pressured.”

“…But all my best friends are Alphas, and it’s impossible to do this.” She imagined Wei Ying’s face in her mind and found it disgusting.

It wasn’t that Wei Ying wasn’t good-looking, but those of the same gender still repelled each other in certain aspects.

Two Alphas together would be quite strange.

And… how can a partner be treated like a best friend? Those are two completely different things!

“But you already marked me before. I thought our relationship was intimate enough.” Xue Wu still didn’t give up, wanting her to come up and sleep with her.

Luo Yan felt she was simply like a succubus, wordlessly clinging; what Alpha could resist her invitation? However, through this, she also knew the big villain already knew she had marked her temporarily. But she didn’t seem to have any particularly extreme emotions, instead accepting it calmly? This realization made Luo Yan breathe a slight sigh of relief, yet it also felt a bit off.

If the big villain before her amnesia had known she marked her without consent, she would have teased and toyed with her somehow. But after the amnesia, she accepted it so calmly… she “lay down” so suddenly it caught her off guard and made her feel like she owed her something, making her uncomfortable.

“What do you say, Yanyan? Don’t just space out and not talk again~” Her voice was so sweet it was truly irresistible, especially with her beautiful face leaning dependently against her arm. Looking up at her like that, one felt that if she wanted the stars in the sky, one would find a way to pluck them for her.

Luo Yan clearly felt her self-control quietly collapsing, but she still tried very hard to resist. She leaned down close to her: “Sister A-Wu shouldn’t underestimate her charm. Even before I marked you, I might not have been able to stop myself from doing something to you, let alone now.”

“You can’t just treat me like a best friend. I’m a real Alpha. If you keep provoking me like this, I really won’t be able to hold back.”

As she spoke, she gently pinched the back of her neck. Though intimate, it contained a hidden warning.

Such a gentle warning somehow still made Xue Wu’s heart thump uncontrollably, even though she had silently rejected her invitation.

In the end, Xue Wu fell asleep in a daze. In the final moment before losing consciousness, she couldn’t resist huffing and speaking out without reservation: “Coward.”

Luo Yan naturally heard her and her heart skipped a beat, but she endured it and said nothing. She only returned to the sofa after she fell asleep, and lay down slowly after drying her hair.

However, her eyes were fixed on the Omega’s direction, seemingly unable to snap out of it.

Even now, she felt many of the things that happened today were unexpected and hard to react to. she didn’t know what to say.

But regardless, it was a happy feeling. Many of the problems that had troubled her for so long were finally resolved, and she could briefly enjoy her time with the big villain.

She soon closed her eyes and fell asleep, unaware that the Omega on the bed who was supposedly asleep had her eyes open, watching her for a while with an unreadable gaze.

The night was relatively dreamless, and Xue Wu’s body was much better; she looked to be in quite good spirits. But the doctor still worried about her, mainly because the pheromone levels and the head injury couldn’t be diagnosed effectively in a short time. Monitoring and adjustment were still needed, otherwise, there might be side effects.

Therefore, Xue Wu couldn’t be discharged immediately and had to be handled according to the situation.

Luo Yan had classes in the morning. Her midterms were approaching, and the curriculum was more intense; she couldn’t be careless.

So she woke up early. After washing up, she went to the bedside to see Xue Wu. Seeing her still sound asleep, with her mouth occasionally smacking unconsciously as if she were dreaming of something delicious and smiling slightly.

Omegas are truly cute regardless of their age.

She watched her for a while before thinking of leaving. Once Chen Jia arrived, she felt it was about time to go. After all, many things were waiting for her. Although that order from last night was signed, she had to start setting things up quickly to achieve more results and secure her place in the Luo family.

But just as she was about to leave, her finger was caught. Luo Yan instinctively looked back and saw Xue Wu awake, looking at her with a drowsy expression. She raised a hand to rub her eyes, a small expression that truly made one’s heart soften.

“Yanyan.” She called her with great attachment, hooking her finger and refusing to let go.

Luo Yan’s heart went soft at that sweet call. She responded: “It’s still early, you can sleep a bit longer.”

“Then why aren’t you sleeping and instead secretly watching me by my bed?”

“…I was caught secretly watching you. What should I do? Are you going to punish me?”

“Why are you up so early? You clearly slept so late last night.” As she spoke, she was about to get out of bed. Her forehead still hurt a bit, and her body was slightly uncomfortable, but her mood was good because her Alpha had been staying by her side. She felt her importance to her.

“Class,” Luo Yan said simply.

“Yanyan, I didn’t expect you to be such a diligent student.” Xue Wu looked at her in surprise, her eyes filled with genuine shock.

Luo Yan couldn’t help but laugh at her expression, but deliberately put on a serious face: “What did you think? Did I really seem like an uneducated playboy in Miss Xue’s heart?”

“You were, you don’t need me to ‘think’ so.” Xue Wu spoke her true thoughts quite seriously, making Luo Yan laugh and cry.

But thinking about it, what Xue Wu said was true. The original owner was indeed an uneducated playboy, most proficient in eating, drinking, and playing. Later, she even had the wicked idea to defile the big villain, which led to the big villain’s retaliation and her tragic death.

So, it was justifiable for Xue Wu to think so; she couldn’t refute it at all.

“Yanyan, say something. Why did you stop talking? Was I wrong?” The Omega saw she was stumped and laughed mischievously, making Luo Yan a bit flustered. She really had to take the blame for the original owner, even though she was very diligent and studious!

“Sister A-Wu, I was wrong, okay? Stop making fun of me.” Luo Yan had no way to argue and could only accept these things.

“Besides, Sister A-Wu is so amazing, I admit I can’t compare, so I can only make more money for you to spend.” Luo Yan gave the reason for her change to prevent Xue Wu from overthinking again.

“Then why didn’t you coax me the first moment I woke up, and instead insisted I wasn’t your Omega and refused to admit our relationship?” Xue Wu’s heart was very clear on this. She hadn’t had time to ask last night, but she did now, and she wasn’t going to let the question go.

“Your attitude toward me changed after you went [stolen content]out and came back. Did the doctor make you do this, to follow my every wish? So you’re not with me out of instinct at all… mgh—”

Xue Wu grew more agitated as she spoke, increasingly feeling that was the case. Luo Yan changed her attitude toward her only because of her illness or physical condition. Last night she had been momentarily dazzled by her attitude and didn’t ask, but now that it was mentioned, she naturally had to ask for clarity.

However, before she could finish speaking, the Alpha who had been listening intently suddenly leaned in and kissed her, making it impossible to finish the rest of her words. She could only stare in shock, feeling the warmth and smoothness on her lips. The scent of her pheromones also flooded in, wrapping around her solidly.

It made her feel inexplicably shy.

Xue Wu didn’t know how to respond to the kiss. It was too sudden, making her unable to cope. Her breathing also grew rapid. Luo Yan took the lead, her palm resting on the back of her neck. She lowered her head and kissed even deeper and more meticulously.

The morning sun shone through the window onto the two of them. Both actually possessed a unique wild beauty, but Luo Yan was dressed in black, and her facial features were deep, reminiscent of an elegant and swift leopard in the jungle—dangerous and charming.

Any Omega would likely fall hopelessly, especially as she released her pheromones so overbearingly to wrap around the Omega and declare her sovereignty.

Luo Yan wasn’t actually very good at kissing since she didn’t have much experience. But she was an Alpha after all, and Alphas can figure things out based on instinct. So after a while, she clearly felt the Omega in her arms go completely soft, her face flushed, looking at her panting, wanting to push her away yet reluctant.

Such a blushing, shy, and annoyed big villain was simply too charming. Luo Yan couldn’t help but lean in mischievously and kiss her earlobe. “Sister A-Wu, this is just the beginning.”

Xue Wu: “…” She really wanted to hit her.

“Sigh, I’m uneducated; I usually only have time to ponder these things. I didn’t expect them to come in handy today.” Luo Yan looked at her with a smile and asked mischievously: “I wonder if Sister… A-Wu is satisfied?”

Xue Wu looked at her slightly wicked smile and regretted provoking her. Although sinking into the Alpha’s pheromones made her body feel more comfortable—after all, the higher the compatibility, the more they fit, and her pheromones could even heal her.

But, being mocked like this, Xue Wu found that Luo Yan was truly a bit different from before.

“Sister A-Wu, why are you quiet? Are you really unhappy?” After laughing for a bit, Luo Yan noticed the person before her was silent and immediately asked nervously.

Xue Wu suddenly looked up and used both hands to firmly cup her face, almost squishing it out of shape. Luo Yan looked at her in shock: why was she pinching her face?

Her innocent expression amused Xue Wu. “You don’t need to be this cute.”

“Yanyan’s kissing skills aren’t actually very good,” Xue Wu said honestly, recalling the kiss just now. “You bumped my teeth, it was uncomfortable. So, there’s room for improvement.”

“However, Yanyan is still good at coaxing people, knowing how to use pheromones to make me more comfortable. So, I’ll give you a 65. Out of 100.”

“…” So all her effort for half the day only got a little over a passing grade? The big villain really knew how to play.

Luo Yan stared at her lips again, slightly red and swollen from the kiss, and wanted to lean in and kiss her again, but decided she couldn’t be too indulgent.

The Alpha instinct is truly too terrifying; it makes you want more, gradually obeying the instinct until you lose yourself in the pleasure of dominance, completely forgetting your true nature.

Many outstanding Alphas are like this: they obtain great power but are increasingly dominated by it, eventually becoming mere appendages to that power, turning crazy and being monitored forever.

That is a terrifying thing; she cannot become like that.

Moreover, Luo Yan had also vaguely discovered that the original owner’s rank was definitely not the unranked F-level; it should be something more powerful, but she wasn’t sure of the specifics.

She would have to figure out some of the mysteries surrounding the original owner later.

“Is Yanyan really unhappy?” Xue Wu saw her silence and thought her words had hurt her. After all, many Alphas’ pride is very fragile and doesn’t allow anyone to say anything bad about them.

“Not really,” Luo Yan finally looked back at her and said leisurely: “Anyway, there’s plenty of time. If Sister A-Wu thinks my kissing skills aren’t good, I’ll practice well and strive to satisfy A-Wu.”

“…And how do you plan to practice?”

“Find a tool-person Omega outside to practice with and then come back.”

“…You dare?” She leaned in close again, a sweet scent wafting over, looking quite pampered.

This felt a bit like the blackened big villain again. To be honest, such a Xue Wu was quite attractive, making it impossible to look away.

Luo Yan reached out and tapped her nose, saying: “Of course I wouldn’t dare, and I wouldn’t have the heart to.”

“If I’m to practice, it must be with Sister A-Wu, so you can see my progress bit by bit.”

Her words were too direct, and her focused gaze completely captured her thoughts, as if all her thoughts were seen through. This made Xue Wu a bit uncomfortable again, and she looked away. “Alphas are all like you, always sweet-talking to coax people.”

“And… does Sister A-Wu like it?”

“I don’t.”

“Okay, then I won’t say it in the future.”

“…If you don’t say it to me, who are you going to say it to?” Her heart felt off again.

“Then obviously I won’t say it to anyone.” Luo Yan said curiously: “Am I supposed to grab someone off the street and say it recklessly to them?”

“Pfft, if you get locked up for being a psychopath, I won’t care about you.” Xue Wu was amused by her again, her laugh clear and without shadow, making it hard to look away.

Outside, the sunlight was just right, and all things were lovely.

“Luo the Third, receive the file. This time it’s for real…”

After Luo Yan left the hospital, there was new progress in the investigation she had entrusted to Wei Ying regarding Xue Wu’s car accident and the out-of-control Omega at the hospital. Wei Ying called her, her voice grim.

Luo Yan’s expression was quite calm as she looked at the detailed document Wei Ying sent. Her reaction shifted from calm to indifferent, until finally, she was shocked and furious. Her eyes trembled, and she almost lost control of her pheromones, closing her eyes and relying on willpower to calm her mind.

On the other end, Wei Ying asked her, also quite worried: “Luo the Third, things are quite serious. How do you plan to solve it?”

Luo Yan’s voice was cold: “How they treated my Omega, I’ll take the loss and return it tenfold.”
