Chapter 82

“Now that’s love,” Fu Yanyang said, wiping his tears, deeply moved by the scene. Sister Zhengyin didn’t keep anything for herself; she gave everything to Sister Zhiqian.

“What can I say?” Not just Fu Yanyang, but all the employees were fired up by the sight.

“What an Alpha!”

“Ms. Li is good-looking and rich, and she gave everything to her wife!”

“Oh my god, why did the ‘QingZijin’ couple suddenly lose its appeal? Nobody stop me from shipping the ‘QianYin’ couple!”

“This is so sweet. It’s just different when you’re shipping a real couple.”

The Yunfan employees were young and unashamed in their “shipping,” while the Yunsan side was a little more reserved.

Xu Zhiqian wiped away her tears, put the flowers back in Li Zhengyin’s arms, and walked up to Fu Yanyang. “Yangyang, were you putting on a show for me this afternoon? I was so worried about you.”

Fu Yanyang quickly backed away, glanced at Su Ziqin in the distance, and zipped behind her. “Sister Zhiqian, I wasn’t acting. I really am pitiful.”

He had already talked to Fu Qingyun about the endorsement, so he wasn’t actually that sad. As for leaving Dingfeng, he didn’t have any plans to do so. Fang Fang was very capable, and his contract with Dingfeng hadn’t expired. Fu Yanyang didn’t want to leave.

“Nice one, Su Ziqin,” Xu Zhiqian said, raising an eyebrow at Su Ziqin, annoyed by her all-day mischief.

Su Ziqin didn’t even look at her. She dodged Fu Yanyang and leaned against Fu Qingyun. “Just tell me if you’re happy now.” So many words. Why don’t you go hug your Alpha and make a baby tonight instead of nagging me?

“Mhm, I’ve decided we’ll have our wedding on the day I graduate.” Xu Zhiqian took Li Zhengyin’s hand and gave her a brilliant smile. Anyone could see how happy she was.

On the way home that night, Su Ziqin was silent in the passenger seat. How should I prepare something for Fu Qingyun? I’m not as rich as her. What can I give her?

After getting home and washing up, Su Ziqin was still thinking. When her wife came to her, bringing the warmth of the bathroom with her, Su Ziqin was uncharacteristically unresponsive.

“What are you thinking about?” Fu Qingyun poked her cheek.

Su Ziqin turned to look at her. The Alpha was wearing a long, white silk slip dress. In that ordinary night, Su Ziqin saw a fairy.

“Honey,” Su Ziqin said, leaning against Fu Qingyun. A bitter feeling rose in her heart. “I feel like I have nothing to give you.”

Fu Qingyun chuckled and kissed Su Ziqin’s forehead. “Zhengyin is an Alpha, and so am I. When it comes to giving gifts, the Alpha should take the initiative.”

Su Ziqin’s heart skipped a beat. She looked up into Fu Qingyun’s inky eyes that shone like stars in the night sky. “What are you going to give me?”

“More than what student Xu has,” Fu Qingyun said, stroking her head. Whether it was real estate or company shares, Fu Qingyun had indeed given far more than Li Zhengyin.

A helpless smile appeared on Su Ziqin’s face. She looked at her oblivious wife and shook her head. “There’s only one thing I want.” I want you. All of you. I want you to belong to me.

Even though their relationship was already very intimate, Su Ziqin sometimes felt that Fu Qingyun was very far away, as if she could disappear at any moment. In her previous life, Su Ziqin was unlucky. In this life, Fu Qingyun had placed a piece of candy in her palm, and Su Ziqin had experienced a sweetness she had never felt before.

She loved Fu Qingyun and wanted to be with her forever, but when she discovered that her Alpha was different from others, Su Ziqin felt insecure. As an Omega, Su Ziqin knew she was being too proactive, but this dense person in front of her didn’t seem to understand what liking someone and what loving someone meant.

Fu Qingyun held her close. She could feel Su Ziqin’s insecurity, but she didn’t know where it came from. Fu Qingyun could only tighten her embrace and whisper in her ear, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”

Hearing those words, Su Ziqin rested her head on Fu Qingyun’s chest. The scent of Long Island Iced Tea made her feel at ease. A content smile appeared on her lips. “Mhm, you have to stay.” Don’t ever leave.

Qin Renfeng handed an invitation to Su Yingying. “The Wu family’s state banquet is this weekend, Yingying. Let’s go together.”

“Oh, really, Brother Feng?” Su Yingying took the invitation, finally getting her hands on it. The system had been hounding her about it for the past two days.

Qin Renfeng looked at Su Yingying’s innocent face and felt content. Yingying had just talked about getting married with him. As soon as he got the seal, he could marry her without a worry.

“Yingying, just wait for me a little longer.”

Su Yingying sneered in her heart. He had talked about marriage not long ago, but he kept making her wait. She was displeased but didn’t show it, keeping the smile on her face, though it was tinged with bitterness. “Brother Feng, it’s okay. It doesn’t matter if we don’t have a title.”

Qin Renfeng’s heart ached. He put his arm around Su Yingying’s shoulder, looking at her reddened eyes. “Yingying, I’m sorry. I haven’t truly taken over Panhai yet. I want to give you more.”

A flash of darkness passed through Su Yingying’s eyes. What does he mean? A moment later, the system answered in her mind. “He hasn’t gotten the Qin family’s patriarch’s seal. He isn’t truly the owner of Panhai yet, just an heir. Qin Sihai has many illegitimate children, and several are Alphas.”

“So what should I do?” Su Yingying asked, getting straight to the point.

The system let out a sinister, mechanical sound. “Don’t worry. Those little ones are no match for Qin Renfeng. He’s already forced them all away. They’re just heirs in name. The family seal is what’s most important.”

“Where is it?”

The system was silent for a moment. “With a completely unexpected person.”

“Unexpected?” Su Yingying mulled over the word. It seemed the system couldn’t directly tell her the location of the seal, so she would have to guess. “At least give me a general idea of where it is.”

The system’s answer was direct this time. “That person will also be at the Wu family’s state banquet.”

“Oh?” This was a great opportunity. “Does that person carry the seal with them?”

“She has a deal with Qin Sihai to guard the seal until the Qin family chooses a suitable heir. The person always carries the seal.”

So that’s it. It seemed this person’s identity was unusual, and they had known Qin Sihai for a long time. Something as important as a seal would be entrusted only to someone who was deeply trusted. But the system said the person was “completely unexpected,” so she couldn’t guess using conventional logic.

Who could it be? Su Yingying’s mind was full of possibilities. She knew that as soon as she married Qin Renfeng and found a way to kill him, she could quickly seize control of the Qin family with the family seal.

“Yingying?” Qin Renfeng saw she was quiet and thought she was sad. His voice became urgent. “Yingying, that’s not what I meant. I just want you to be more secure in the future.”

Su Yingying scoffed to herself. This guy’s imagination is wild. But since his attitude had softened, she’d strike while the iron was hot. “Brother Feng, I don’t care about all that. I just want to be with you. I want to marry you. I just want to have a home with you.”

Su Yingying’s eyes filled with tears as she spoke, her gaze innocent and deer-like as she looked at Qin Renfeng. Qin Renfeng instinctively wiped her tears away. Looking into her eyes, he made a decision. “Okay, then we’ll do as you say. We’ll go get our marriage license tomorrow.”

“That’s wonderful, Brother Feng!” Su Yingying fluttered into his arms like a butterfly. She smiled sweetly, her eyes holding a sinister look that Qin Renfeng didn’t notice. Finally done. As soon as I get the patriarch’s seal, Qin Renfeng can disappear.

“Remember, you can’t let Su Ziqin go to the Wu family’s state banquet,” the system reminded her.

The system’s voice interrupted Su Yingying’s good mood. She had tried everything the system suggested—car accidents, hired killers—but Su Ziqin seemed to be blessed by fate, escaping unharmed every time.

“Brother Feng, I’m a bit tired. I’d like to rest,” Su Yingying said with a weary smile, as if she were genuinely exhausted.

Qin Renfeng had planned to get intimate with her, since they were getting married the next day. But seeing her tired state, his heart ached. “Alright, I’ll go now. You get some good rest tonight.”

Su Yingying hummed in agreement. The gentle smile on her face vanished the moment Qin Renfeng closed the door.

“Disgusting,” Su Yingying said as she walked into the bathroom, stripping off her clothes to shower. She didn’t care that the water temperature wasn’t right. She hated male Alphas! They were creatures who only thought with their lower bodies, and they filled her with physical revulsion.

“You don’t have to hate him so much, do you?” The system didn’t understand human preferences.

Su Yingying sneered. If Qin Renfeng wasn’t useful to her, there was no way she would have chosen him. “You wouldn’t understand.”

If Fu Qingyun didn’t exist, maybe it wouldn’t have been so hard for Su Yingying to accept Qin Renfeng. She would have probably pretended to be a good Mrs. Qin on the surface, while secretly being a VIP member of Charm Palace.

But after seeing such an exceptional person who was so completely to her liking, how could Su Yingying possibly be content with someone she didn’t even like?

“I’m not going to guess about such pointless things. The state banquet is in three days. You have to find a way to stop Su Ziqin from going. You’ve already guessed what that jade piece is. If Su Ziqin shows up, you’ll have almost no chance.”

“Didn’t Fu Yanyang get the endorsement from Yunfan?”

The system grunted. “Yes, Qin Renfeng is crazily raising the price. He’s clearly going after the Fu family.”

“Then let’s lower the price. That way, it’ll be easier for both Su Ziqin and Fu Yanyang.”

“You mean…” The system laughed. This woman is truly clever. “In that case, Su Ziqin will have to redo the entire plan, and the entire public relations team will have to change their strategy.”

Su Yingying turned off the shower and aggressively wiped her face with a towel. “Do you know when the final deadline for their proposal is?”

“Saturday, which conflicts with the state banquet.”

A smile appeared on Su Yingying’s face in the mirror, making her look like a pure and innocent girl. “My sister will be so busy. Three days is a tight schedule.” And she won’t have time to pester Fu Qingyun. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

“Let’s do it.”

Su Yingying threw the towel into the trash can, the gesture showing her disgust as if she were throwing away something vile.

“Su Ziqin, from now on, I’ll be the eldest daughter of the Wu family.”
