I’m Definitely Taking This Scumbag Alpha Role! - Chapter 9
The sun hung glaringly overhead, scorching and dazzling.
Wei Zhixu’s entire body stiffened. She did not like being touched suddenly from behind. It could even be said that there was a trace of panic there, born from psychological shadow.
She wanted to break free, but Ying Que’s palm was so large, gripping her tightly, leaving her unable to struggle loose.
“Sister, do you not want me anymore?”
Wei Zhixu was bent forward, and Ying Que also bent forward with her, refusing to let go.
She was clearly the one imprisoning someone, yet the words she spoke were aggrieved and humble.
Ying Que’s face, covered in a layer of redness, slowly buried itself in Wei Zhixu’s neck, searching for the cool comfort this Omega had casually given her just now.
In an instant, Wei Zhixu’s body grew even stiffer.
It was not the panic filled with darkness and shadow. It was more like the physiological rigidity of an Omega whose gland had been touched by an Alpha.
The instant Ying Que’s breath brushed over Wei Zhixu’s neck, her body seemed to be struck by electricity.
Those distant, cold eyes trembled slightly in the hot wind, like an overwhelmed butterfly.
“Queque, let go of me.” After pausing for two seconds, Wei Zhixu finally found her calm voice again.
“Why? I don’t want to let go of Sister…”
Ying Que’s question was not sincere. The latter half of the sentence was her real purpose.
She had long since fallen for this Omega. How could an Alpha with such a wicked nature control the animal instincts of her sensitive period?
Wei Zhixu’s pheromones were lily of the valley. Not long ago, Ying Que had smelled them once, only lightly, only briefly.
Her soft lips brushed over the neck covered by the inhibitor patch. Breath rising and falling, there was a kind of infatuation there, as if she were drowning in an illusion.
She really wanted to smell it again.
If she could taste it, that would be even better.
Wei Zhixu felt that the person behind her was unlike an Alpha. She was more like a clingy snake.
Damp. Slow.
An Omega’s neck was a dangerous forbidden zone, yet it had already been occupied by Ying Que.
“Que—mm!”
Wei Zhixu tried to struggle free from Ying Que’s restraint, but she had spent years buried in books. Her arms were so slender Ying Que could have held two of them in one hand. Completely unguarded, Wei Zhixu had the inhibitor patch on the back of her neck torn off from behind.
A wave of panic passed through Wei Zhixu. Her emerald eyes reflected the sunlight, as if she were afraid someone would discover something.
But what could Ying Que discover?
She had not even noticed how much blood was flowing from her own arm.
The Alpha held Wei Zhixu’s inhibitor patch between her teeth, her lips flushed red, like two rose petals.
Noticing Wei Zhixu turn her head to look at her, she immediately smiled softly and met those eyes with both pride and a desire to please, as if showing off her spoils of war.
If Wei Zhixu were the screenwriter of this scene, she would add a kissing scene for the protagonists at this moment.
There was nothing more alluring than an Alpha holding her lover’s inhibitor patch between her teeth.
How could those timid eyes, which were often hidden away, smile with such flamboyance?
Just obtaining one tiny inhibitor patch had made her unbearably happy.
Unfortunately…
She was not this Alpha’s lover.
Wei Zhixu came back to herself. Only then did she realize she had already caught a bit of the Alpha’s scent and had nearly lost her sense of propriety.
The profession of screenwriter had this one downside. Whenever she observed any interesting scene in life, it was far too easy to be drawn into it.
“I shared my scent with Sister, so Sister should share yours with me too, okay?”
Before Wei Zhixu could fully clear her head, Ying Que’s voice pressed close again.
Who knew where she had thrown the inhibitor patch? Just that tiny bit of Wei Zhixu’s Omega pheromones clinging to it had already pushed her close to losing control.
Mountain grapes grew too savagely. The narrow locker had already been filled with their fruit.
Wei Zhixu’s lips parted slightly, and for a moment, she did not know how to breathe.
It seemed that for one instant, she also wanted to taste what it felt like to be marked by an Alpha.
After all, she was already twenty-seven years old, and ten years had already passed since that incident.
“Queque…”
“Sister.”
Sensing the person in her arms struggling, Ying Que rubbed against Wei Zhixu’s neck and hugged her even tighter.
“Listen to me first.” Wei Zhixu’s tone was gentle as she swallowed a mouthful of air filled with Ying Que’s scent.
Ying Que lifted her eyes, following the outline of Wei Zhixu’s face to look at her mouth. “What does Sister want to say?”
“You’re making me uncomfortable like this.” Wei Zhixu moved her wrist slightly. Ying Que had restrained her too tightly, and her wrist had already turned red.
But Ying Que seemed not to care. Her gaze remained fixed on Wei Zhixu’s lips.
Those two lips, brighter than roses, opened and closed. In their movement, Ying Que actually heard the words she wanted to hear.
“If you want to mark me, can you let me come out first?”
Ying Que was overjoyed and readily agreed. “Okay.”
“Go sit on the chair,” Wei Zhixu added.
Ying Que hesitated.
An Alpha in her sensitive period was the sharpest hunting dog in the world. The chair was too far away, on the other side of the room.
However, when the triplets ran, they had done something very right for her—
“The door is closed. Sister can’t run away.”
Ying Que dropped this sentence by Wei Zhixu’s ear, then let go of her.
Compared with seizing and extorting by force, she preferred a voluntary offering.
Sunlight fell along the windows one pane at a time, shrouding Wei Zhixu like thin gauze.
Who knew what business she had come to the school for today? She was simply wearing a silver-gray shirt, now made a little wrinkled by this rude Alpha.
The daylight made her look thin. Every inch of flesh clung properly to her bones.
Ying Que’s gaze was muddled. Leaning against the chair back, she looked somewhat frivolous.
She stared at Wei Zhixu’s back for a very, very long time, her heart beating like a little drum.
“Sister.”
The soft murmur was sent out on a ball of scorching breath. It was not merely a definition written by the system into the scumbag Alpha character setting. Even with only her soul remaining, Ying Que’s heart still stirred for Wei Zhixu.
“Queque.”
Ying Que lost her sense of time. Perhaps she had only waited five seconds, or perhaps five minutes had passed, but Wei Zhixu walked up to her.
“Sis—mm…”
The joy in the Alpha’s eyes froze. In her muddled pupils was reflected Wei Zhixu’s almost frighteningly calm face.
Ying Que looked at the person in front of her and suddenly felt a wave of weightlessness.
The heat that had seeped into her bones was retreating rapidly, as if even her soul would be swept away by the receding tide.
“Sister… what did you inject me with?”
Until the very end, Ying Que still trusted Wei Zhixu.
She looked at the syringe in the corner of her vision, her slowly blinking eyes blank and stunned.
Indeed, Ying Que had not known where the inhibitor was, but Wu Lan had not kept that many things in her locker either.
Using the brief moment when they separated, Wei Zhixu had quickly found the inhibitor in the drawer.
Open the packaging, assemble it, all in one smooth motion.
Ying Que had no guard up, and the needle plunged into her arm at once.
“After the injection, you’ll feel much better.” Wei Zhixu’s voice was absurdly calm, and the movements of her left hand did not pause for anyone.
Ying Que’s raised head gradually tilted. Her lips were slightly parted, as if she wanted to say something.
This person’s coldness at this moment was so real that it made her sad.
Those blue-purple eyes lost their reckless heat, turning hollow and wavering.
She could not figure out whether she should blame Wei Zhixu for tricking her. In the next second, her eyes darkened, and she toppled forward.
But Wei Zhixu did not let Ying Que fall.
She moved cleanly and caught Ying Que’s slumping head at once.
The Alpha’s bangs were soaked with sweat. As if carrying Ying Que’s final will, strand by strand, they twined around Wei Zhixu’s fingers.
Wei Zhixu quietly looked at this Alpha who had just offended her. Her long, slender fingers gently traced along Ying Que’s forehead.
“Sorry. I lied to you.”
Wei Zhixu’s voice was very soft, just like the pad of her finger brushing over Ying Que’s sweat-covered forehead.
Queque’s sensitive period had come suddenly, but hers had not.
She could not make a mistake.
.
In the quiet changing room, a breeze slowly drifted in.
Wei Zhixu sat silently, holding Ying Que’s unconscious face. Only after the second hand had made three full circles did she decide to get up and deal with the mess here.
During that time, the Alpha’s gradually steadying breaths had all fallen into her palm, making it itch.
“Creak.”
“What happened here? Who’s inside? Come out!”
Just as Wei Zhixu rose, the changing room door was pushed open from outside.
Ying Que’s pheromones had still been detected by the monitoring equipment, and the student council had sent people over.
Facing the student council’s stern warning, Wei Zhixu walked unhurriedly up to them. “Xiao Li, it’s me.”
When they realized the person in the room included Wei Zhixu, their expressions changed at once, and their tone softened too. “Professor Wei, did something happen?”
“A student’s sensitive period suddenly arrived early. It’s already been handled,” Wei Zhixu briefly told them the process, even adding the result.
The damaged locker door hung crookedly, not looking like a simple early sensitive period.
But even though they were in the student council, they would enter the entertainment industry to film in the future too. No one wanted to offend a famous screenwriter, so they all chose to accept Wei Zhixu’s words. “Professor Wei, is there anything you need us to do?”
“Send the student inside to the school clinic. I’ve already injected her with an inhibitor,” Wei Zhixu said.
“All right. You all, come with me.” Xiao Li, who was leading them, immediately called for the students behind her to take out the stretcher kept in the changing room. Following Wei Zhixu’s instructions, she organized everyone to send Ying Que to the school clinic.
The group came quickly and left quickly as well.
Wei Zhixu stood in the changing room with only herself remaining, and only then did her expression truly drop away, returning to its original state.
She was not calm. Her slightly heavy breathing showed that she had in fact been greatly affected by Ying Que.
But she was restrained enough. Beneath the cover of her long hair, no one knew what state her gland was in.
Ying Que had thrown away her inhibitor patch so casually. Fortunately, it had fallen behind the crooked door. Otherwise, if the student council members had seen it—
“Tap, tap, tap.”
Wei Zhixu had just picked up the inhibitor patch that belonged to her from the floor when she saw through the window that Xiao Li had quickly turned back.
“Professor Wei.”
“What is it?”
The moment Xiao Li entered the room, Wei Zhixu quickly put the inhibitor patch she had just picked up back onto the nape of her neck, presenting her usual calm and distant appearance.
“I saw that there were enough people sending that student to the school clinic, so I came back first to see if you needed any help.” Xiao Li was smooth and perceptive. She had long since noticed the unusual situation here.
But Wei Zhixu could not hand this matter over to her. “I can handle things here myself. That student’s arm is injured. If she needs stitches, you must personally notify me.”
Wei Zhixu held a lecturer position at the school and occasionally taught classes, but she rarely interacted with students.
Any matter entrusted by her would be an opportunity to build a connection with someone above them or earn goodwill. Xiao Li would not miss this chance and immediately nodded. “Don’t worry, Professor Wei. I’ll definitely take good care of that student.”
“Thank you.” Wei Zhixu gave a slight nod, expressing her gratitude.
Xiao Li walked as swiftly as the wind and disappeared with a whoosh.
Wei Zhixu looked at the changing room, finally quiet again, then went to a corner inside the room where the surveillance cameras could not capture her. Slowly, she peeled off the spent inhibitor patch on the back of her neck.
Muddy, damp, soft—just holding it in her hand was enough to know how terrible the condition of the back of her neck was.
But Wei Zhixu had still underestimated how terrible it was.
Silver threads floated in the wind, looking even finer than hair. Starting from the Omega’s gland, they slowly stretched along the path the inhibitor patch had passed over, extending until they appeared at Wei Zhixu’s fingers, and in her line of sight.
“…”
There was no sound, only Wei Zhixu’s furrowed brows.
She took a new inhibitor patch from her bag, put the old patch into the freshly torn-open packaging, destroyed it, and placed it into her bag, as if it had never existed at all.
But when Wei Zhixu acted as though nothing had happened and stood up, a gust of wind rose, carrying the mountain-grape scent that had not yet dispersed. The sudden weakness in her legs still broke the calm, restrained image she presented to the surveillance cameras.
“How did I end up in such a sorry state?”
