After Becoming an Alpha, I Became a Charmer (GL) - Chapter 25.2
Ruan Wu had originally intended to discuss the contract with Xia Zhiyu again, but the atmosphere between them was so pleasant that she didn’t want to ruin it.
“All I wanted to say was for you to watch out for Zhao Sheng and the other two, and to keep your distance from them,” Ruan Wu said.
“I saw you holding your phone and chatting happily when you came in just now. Who were you talking to?” Ruan Wu asked casually.
At this, Xia Zhiyu immediately smiled. “I was chatting with people from the company.”
Xia Zhiyu took out her phone and showed Ruan Wu the new group she had joined. The people in the group were flooding the chat, calling for Xia Zhiyu to return. Ruan Wu’s brows furrowed slightly as she looked. “What are you talking about with them?”
“Just casual talk. They’re all very interesting. It seems they like to say suggestive things to tease me because I’m the only Alpha in the main company.”
“Tease you?” Ruan Wu’s frown deepened.
“They’re just joking around. They’re not actually harassing me,” Xia Zhiyu quickly explained. “They’re very grateful to me for the Zhou Chong and Xie Li matter, and it has removed their prejudice against me. I think it’s quite nice.”
Ruan Wu’s focus, however, was still on her previous sentence. “And you just let them tease you?”
Xia Zhiyu saw Ruan Wu’s expression and, with a flash of insight, finally understood Ruan Wu’s meaning. She immediately explained, “No. I don’t reply to their suggestive messages. Don’t worry, Ms. Ruan, I won’t violate the contract again.”
“Besides, they only find me novel right now. They won’t be so enthusiastic after a while.”
Ruan Wu looked at Xia Zhiyu when she heard this.
I didn’t expect her to be so naive. Based on her face alone, people’s enthusiasm wouldn’t die down even after five years.
“Add me to the group. I’ve never joined a company group before. I want to see what they usually talk about.”
Xia Zhiyu hesitated. Ruan Wu narrowed her eyes. “Are you unwilling?”
“It’s not that I’m unwilling,” Xia Zhiyu said. “If you join, Ms. Ruan, no one in that group will dare to say anything anymore.”
That’s exactly what I want, Ruan Wu thought.
“How about you create an alternate account, Ms. Ruan, and I’ll add you?” Xia Zhiyu came up with a compromise.
That won’t do. How can an alternate account intimidate those people who are lusting after Xia Zhiyu?
“Help me create an alternate account,” Ruan Wu said, handing her phone to Xia Zhiyu.
“By the way, if anyone asks who this account belongs to, just say it’s your private account that you use on vacation.”
“No problem, Ms. Ruan.” Since private messaging was disabled in the group, Ruan Wu probably wouldn’t be bored enough to reply to messages. Even if she said that, no one would find any flaws in the explanation.
Xia Zhiyu created an alternate account for Ruan Wu and invited it into the group.
Sister Zhou, the admin, was the first to notice Xia Zhiyu had invited someone. She had Xia Zhiyu’s personal WeChat and immediately messaged her privately to ask what was going on.
Xia Zhiyu explained, using the reason Ruan Wu had given her.
SisterZhou: Haha, you scared me! I thought this account belonged to your partner.
XiaZhiyu: I wish I had a partner, but where does a busy worker like me find time to date? (Bitter)
SisterZhou: Secretary Xia, if you wanted to find someone, it would only take you a minute. Just let me know when you decide, and I’ll introduce you to a good one.
XiaZhiyu: I’ll thank you in advance, Sister Zhou~ (Heart-hand gesture)
“What are you chatting about that’s taking so long?” Ruan Wu asked, vigilant.
“Sister Zhou asked me about the situation. I gave her the reason you provided. Sister Zhou said she thought the alternate account belonged to my girlfriend and even offered to set me up with someone, but I refused. After all, I have you, Ms. Ruan.”
