After Becoming an Alpha, I Became a Charmer (GL) - Chapter 40
Xia Zhiyu arrived at the study. Twisting the doorknob, she found Ruan Wu already seated at the desk. Two laptop computers were placed on the table in front of her, both powered on. The screen displayed a mind-mapping software specifically designed for taking notes.
Xia Zhiyu: “…” What on earth in that adult film is worth taking notes and reviewing?
Is Ruan Wu planning to study certain positions? But she said she didn’t want to sleep with me again. What’s the point of studying without practicing?
Harboring deep doubt, Xia Zhiyu sat down in the chair next to Ruan Wu.
“You’re here. Let’s begin,” Ruan Wu said.
“How do we begin?” Xia Zhiyu asked, like a student clueless about studying.
Ruan Wu said, “By reviewing, of course. We’ll analyze the plot from beginning to end, especially breaking down and studying the actions and expressions of the two female leads.”
Did that movie even have a rational plot? Studying expressions she could barely understand, but studying actions—did she mean what I think she means?
Ruan Wu noticed the strange look on Xia Zhiyu’s face and frowned. “You don’t want to study?”
“No, I do want to. I just don’t know where to start.”
Ruan Wu’s frown eased. “It’s fine if you don’t know where to start. Just follow my line of thought for the review.”
“Firstly, the encounter between the Omega and the Alpha wasn’t romantic, but it had an element of predestination.”
“Mhm… Mhm!” You’re right!
“Don’t you think their situation is very similar to ours?” Ruan Wu asked.
Xia Zhiyu: “Is… is it?”
Are Ruan Wu and I that explicit?
Although they had spent two nights together, she couldn’t quite remember the details. Xia Zhiyu could only nod under Ruan Wu’s gaze. “It is.”
Ruan Wu continued with satisfaction. “Your first time with me was also a fated accident.”
Xia Zhiyu’s cheeks flushed slightly. She guiltily looked away. If she hadn’t transmigrated into “Xia Zhiyu’s” body, and if this body hadn’t become an Alpha, Ruan Wu would never have been marked by an Alpha.
“Look here. The expressions of the two before their first night together. The Omega is innocent and naive, the Alpha controls everything. There’s a lot of sexual tension between them.” Ruan Wu opened a video clip on her laptop and played it for Xia Zhiyu.
Xia Zhiyu was forced to watch the two engaging in foreplay again.
“Did you learn anything?” Ruan Wu asked Xia Zhiyu after watching seriously.
The blush on Xia Zhiyu’s cheeks refused to fade. “I learned it.”
“Very good. You must not only learn their actions and expressions but also learn to extrapolate and apply the knowledge flexibly. Understand?”
Xia Zhiyu: “…Understood.”
For the next two hours, Xia Zhiyu endured a grueling session. Ruan Wu practically dissected the film and spoon-fed it to her, watching her digest and absorb it. Xia Zhiyu was forced to absorb a lot of bedroom knowledge (?).
“Alright, go to sleep. We’ll definitely be the sweetest couple tomorrow.”
Xia Zhiyu had no idea where Ruan Wu got her confidence, but it didn’t matter, because she was truly capable of extrapolating and applying what she learned.
The next morning, the couple outfits Ruan Wu commissioned were delivered to the house. They tried them on, and the fit was perfect.
Ruan Wu’s outfit was a pale pink slip dress with a mermaid skirt, paired with a white cardigan on top. This kept her warm while covering her arm.
Xia Zhiyu’s outfit was a white short T-shirt with pink, narrow wide-leg pants. Paired with white high-top canvas shoes, her waist looked slim and her legs long, giving her a youthful and beautiful look.
For both outfits, Ruan Wu’s dress had an embroidered “X” pattern at the waist, and Xia Zhiyu’s white T-shirt had the letter “R,” the first letters of their respective surnames.
“This is so creative! I can already imagine the three couples going out in formal wear while we’re out in comfortable, light clothes. Ruan Ruan, you deliberately leaked the information about the couple outfits in the group chat yesterday, didn’t you?” Xia Zhiyu guessed.
Ruan Wu nodded with a smile. “I did.”
“I knew it! I knew you wouldn’t reveal it to them for no reason.”
“And this. Try it on.” Ruan Wu took out two pearl half-face masks from an exquisite gift box nearby.
The smooth pearls emitted a delicate luster. Xia Zhiyu took one in surprise and put it on.
“No wonder you’re not afraid of being recognized, Ruan Ruan. You even customized two half-face masks.” Covering half the face makes it difficult for anyone who isn’t very familiar with them to recognize them.
Even with the upper half of her face covered, Xia Zhiyu’s beauty was still evident from her delicate exposed jawline.
The pearls complemented her beautiful black eyes, and her slender eyelashes curled into a tempting arc at the corners. Xia Zhiyu winked at Ruan Wu. “Do I look good, Ruan Ruan?”
Ruan Wu’s face suddenly turned red. “You look good.”
Xia Zhiyu urged Ruan Wu to put on her pearl mask. The two looked at each other, each thinking the other looked incredibly beautiful.
The moment eight o’clock passed, the Dating Training Camp group chat began to buzz with activity.
They had agreed to meet at the newly built amusement park in A City at nine o’clock. Song Yourui and her husband lived far away and were already preparing to leave.
SongYourui: I dare say our spouse outfits are the most eye-catching. We’ve already been stared at countless times on the way from home to the garage.
ZhouZhang: Besides the clothes being beautiful, the other reason is my wife’s face. Rui Rui is the most perfect goddess in my heart.
SongYourui: Hubby, you’re the most perfect male god in my heart, too.
XuMi: I guarantee Yan Yan’s and my outfits are the most eye-catching.
JingYan: …They are.
PangJingyi: Haha, Yan Yan, why do you look so reluctant? Do you regret wearing Xu Mi’s designed clothes?
JingYan: I’m not reluctant, but I do regret it. I love the sets Xu Mi designed so much that I don’t want to wear them out, for fear of damaging them.
XuMi: It’s okay, Yan Yan. Seeing you wear these outfits today gave me a sudden burst of inspiration. I’ll finish the design drafts when I rest tomorrow. We can wear them the next time we go out together.
JingYan: That’s… so! Great!
PangJingyi: Hahahaha, I’m actually starting to look forward to seeing Yan Yan in Xu Mi’s designs.
JingYan: Don’t talk about me. How are you and Jiang Xue doing?
PangJingyi: We had a small hiccup, but it’s completely resolved now. All in all, the clothes are great, but Jiang Xue gained five pounds while accompanying her mom in the hospital. So… Hahahaha.
JiangXue: Sweetheart, didn’t we agree not to tell anyone about this? (Whispering)
PangJingyi: Is there anyone else in the group? They’re all our good friends. No outsiders.
RuanWu: Jingyi is right. There are no outsiders in the group.
PangJingyi: Ruan Ruan, how are your and Xia Xia’s couple outfits?
Ruan Wu looked up at Xia Zhiyu. Xia Zhiyu also looked up at Ruan Wu. After their eyes met, both felt their heart rates speed up slightly.
The reason was obvious. Ruan Wu/Xia Zhiyu was simply too beautiful. The pink clothes made their skin look like snow. Their eyes were beautiful, their lips rosy, and they had great figures. Anyone who saw her/him now would be instantly charmed.
Xia Zhiyu was the first to regain her composure. She was grateful that she was wearing a mask, which covered her flushed cheeks.
Xia Zhiyu looked down and typed her reply in the group chat.
XiaZhiyu: Very good. Very different from the usual Ruan Ruan.
RuanWu: Xia Xia is different, too.
Usually, the two wore professional suits to the office, mostly in black, white, and gray. Even for banquets, the gowns they wore were mostly elegant, gentle, or stunning styles. They were beautiful, but they lacked the fresh, natural, sweet, and cute look of their current outfits.
Both of them were exuding a different, enhanced beauty because of the clothes.
SongYourui: If you two kept showering each other with compliments, I might not have thought much of it. After all, you two are beautiful enough just with your faces, and I’ve seen it before. But with just those few words, I’m genuinely starting to look forward to seeing exactly what your couple outfits look like.
JingYan: Me too!
PangJingyi: Count me in!
Song Yourui’s goal wasn’t to compare which couple was sweeter with Ruan Wu and Xia Zhiyu. Everything they were doing in the group chat was to try and get Ruan Wu to realize her feelings. Everything was going smoothly so far. The group exchanged compliments in their private chat.
JingYan: Although, Xu Mi’s designed clothes are truly hideous. Please remember the terrible price I’m paying today for Ruan Ruan and Zhiyu’s love.
SongYourui: I’ve screenshotted it, Yan Yan. Be strong.
PangJingyi: Jiang Xue’s formal wear doesn’t fit right. She looks like a penguin in it, which is hilarious. Don’t worry, Yan Yan. You’re not alone in looking bad. It took me a long time to convince Jiang Xue that the outfit was fine.
Ruan Wu and Xia Zhiyu left the house. Zhao Ze and Zhang Yu were already waiting in the car.
They were going out today, and to a very crowded amusement park. The two bodyguards had to provide close protection. One would follow each of them, so they would be safe even if they accidentally got separated.
“Your two outfits look great,” Xia Zhiyu said, her eyes lighting up when she saw Zhao Ze and Zhang Yu’s casual attire.
She loved this style of clothing the most, but ever since she transmigrated, she had to go to work every day and had important things to do on weekends. She never had a chance to wear clothes like this.
Zhao Ze rubbed his head, smiling shyly. “Secretary Xia, you and Ms. Ruan look great, too.”
Ruan Wu noticed Xia Zhiyu kept looking at the bodyguards’ clothes. She asked, “Do you like this style of clothing?”
She seemed to recall that Xia Zhiyu wanted to wear simple, casual clothes to the banquet during the spring outing, but she refused.
At that time, her feelings for Xia Zhiyu weren’t as deep as they were now. She didn’t care about Xia Zhiyu’s feelings at all. Now, discovering Xia Zhiyu liked this style, Ruan Wu immediately began thinking about how to combine business and casual styles so Xia Zhiyu could wear her preferred clothes to work.
Xia Zhiyu nodded. “They’re comfortable and relaxing to wear. I really like that feeling.”
Ruan Wu nodded, not saying anything more, silently making a mental note of it.
Half an hour later, just one minute before nine o’clock, Xia Zhiyu and Ruan Wu arrived at the agreed meeting place with Song Yourui and the others—a coffee shop outside the amusement park.
The two put on their masks in the car, got out, and walked straight into the coffee shop.
“Welcome.”
Song Yourui and Zhou Zhang had already arrived. Hearing the waiter’s greeting, they instinctively turned their heads to look at the door.
Two young women, wearing pearl masks and pink and white couple outfits, walked in. Their eyes were searching, as if they were looking for someone.
“Students these days are much luckier than we were back then,” Song Yourui was lamenting to Zhou Zhang when she suddenly saw the two girls look at them. As if they had identified their target, they started walking toward them.
“Honey, do you know them?”
Song Yourui asked strangely.
Zhou Zhang shook his head. “I don’t know any girls this age.”
As they were speaking, the two girls had already reached them.
