After Divorcing My Omega Ex-Wife - Chapter 13
Her thoughts felt as if they were being pressed down by a mountain. She wanted to open her eyes, but her eyelids seemed glued shut.
After struggling several times, they remained heavy and impossible to open.
It was as if thousands upon thousands of hands were constantly pulling her downward. Because her body had been soaking in water, the scorching heat had already faded, replaced by a kind of cold.
On this early autumn night, she was so cold that she could not stop trembling. She wanted to climb out of the bathtub, but she had not a shred of strength.
The heat was continuously dissipating.
Shi Yun thought she was about to be done for.
Until she heard her own name.
At first, she thought she had misheard, but very quickly, the voice grew louder and louder, accompanied by waves of sweet peach scent.
It seemed to be the person who had just thrown down those harsh words.
Was it Xie Qingyun?
Why had she come?
Shi Yun sniffed hard and propped herself up, wanting to leave the bathtub.
She did not want Xie Qingyun to see her in such a sorry state.
Instead, that gave her a brief moment of clarity.
Her hands braced against both sides of the tub. The moment she exerted force, she suddenly slipped, and her whole body fell back into the water, splashing up waves.
Water flowed out over the bathtub. She reached out, wanting to turn off the faucet, but found that no matter what, she could not summon any strength.
Immediately after, there came a rush of hurried footsteps, which soon turned into the sound of someone wading through water.
Shi Yun tried hard to open her eyes, but there was only emptiness before her.
She felt someone kneel beside her, and the faucet was turned off.
Someone cupped her face. As that person came closer, the sweet peach scent darted around like a wild cat, suddenly drilling into her nose.
There was a force inside her body that grew restless along with it.
She wanted to raise her hand and refuse, but the person grabbed it, feeling her body temperature.
Xie Qingyun called her again and again. “Ah-Yun, Ah-Yun.”
As if the moment she let go, something important would disappear.
She could only hold on desperately.
Shi Yun heard another set of hurried footsteps. Before she could tell who had arrived, she felt herself lifted into the air, almost crying out in shock. She had been scooped out of the water, dripping wet.
Xie Qingyun had started out in martial arts films and was not weak. Although her body had become frail from years of using suppressants, she had exercised for many years, so carrying Shi Yun was easy for her.
As Shi Yun left the water, her clothes clung to her body, locking the heat inside the wet fabric. She felt so uncomfortable she wanted to twist away.
Through the damp clothes, the water on Shi Yun’s body soaked into Xie Qingyun’s, while the heat from Xie Qingyun’s body continuously transferred to her.
Pressed tightly together, their body temperatures exchanged at that moment.
The clothes did not change at all. They still stuck to her like seaweed, impossible to remove no matter how she moved. Instead, her whole body began stirring restlessly.
Her reason was on the verge of collapsing. She wanted to drive Xie Qingyun away. She was in her sensitive period and had no suppressants. What would happen?
She did not dare imagine it.
Using up all the strength in her body, she gritted her teeth. “Get lost.”
Xie Qingyun was walking quickly outward when she heard the person in her arms make a sound. She could not hear clearly and lowered her head, leaning close to Shi Yun’s ear. “What?”
Shi Yun clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms, and raised her voice. “I said, get lost!”
Immediately after came a moan.
Shi Yun froze.
Realizing her own loss of composure, she bit down hard on her lower lip, refusing to let herself make another sound. Her lips were bitten bloodless. At this moment, only pain could restore her reason.
Even if Xie Qingyun were slower, she understood what Shi Yun meant. She carefully placed Shi Yun on the bed. Water seeped out, soaking the sheets, and Shi Yun’s wet hair stuck damply to the pillow. She looked fragile and helpless.
Xie Qingyun raised a hand, her fingers gently resting against Shi Yun’s lips. “Ah-Yun, I’m willing.”
“If it’s you, I’m willing to be marked by you.”
She had waited for this day for so long. As long as the rice was cooked, Shi Yun would be responsible for her no matter what.
On this point, she had confidence in Shi Yun.
She had nothing to fear. Once there was a bond between them, the future would no longer move according to Shi Yun’s intentions.
The places Xie Qingyun had brushed against flushed red, as if ants had crawled over them. Out of shame, Shi Yun bent her legs, her feet rubbing unconsciously against each other, rolling up the bedsheets.
Xie Qingyun felt the green sandalwood scent in the air, the one that belonged only to Shi Yun, grow richer and richer. She gently closed her eyes.
She bent down, preparing to undo the buttons of Shi Yun’s collar.
Qian Can, standing to the side, could not help shouting, “Qingyun!”
She stepped forward and grabbed Xie Qingyun. “Don’t lose your head! Don’t make Shi Yun hate you!”
Even if she did not understand Shi Yun, could she not understand Xie Qingyun?
If she really allowed Xie Qingyun to continue, there would be no turning back.
An alpha in her sensitive period and an omega with unstable pheromones being together—using any organ to think, Qian Can knew what would happen.
No one could say to what extent Shi Yun would hate Xie Qingyun afterward.
Xie Qingyun shook off Qian Can’s hand. “I have no chance left! I can only take advantage of her sensitive period and make her mark me.”
Qian Can was shocked. She had vaguely guessed it, but had not dared to be certain. Now that Xie Qingyun had said it herself, she froze in place, not knowing what to say.
Xie Qingyun covered her face and began to sob silently. “She hates me. She hates me.”
Qian Can was silent for a moment. She understood Xie Qingyun too well. Once Xie Qingyun made up her mind, no matter what others said, she would not change it.
But Qian Can also could not watch them slide into a place from which there would be no return.
Unable to bear it, she turned her head away. In the battle between heaven and man, she did not know what to do.
Perhaps letting the situation develop would be better.
She took a step back and walked to the bedroom door. Her hand paused on the doorknob. She lifted her head and looked deeply at Xie Qingyun.
Just as she was about to leave the room—
the person on the bed twisted uneasily. Once she had left the ice water, the heat inside her body surged up again. She grabbed the pillow beside her and threw it at the two people still looking at each other. “Get out! I told you both to get out!”
Qian Can was startled and abruptly took a small step back.
Shi Yun could smell that sweet peach scent spreading through the air, and no matter what, she could not break free of it.
She could not help feeling that Xie Qingyun had done it on purpose. Her pheromones were unstable, yet she still came looking for Shi Yun, seduced her, held her.
If this was not coming to watch her make a fool of herself, then what was it?
She just wanted to see Shi Yun be controlled by pheromones and lose her reason.
Xie Qingyun had seen her in such a wretched state. What dignity would she have left in the future?
The reason she had been forcibly holding on to collapsed at that moment. Grievance lingered in her heart, and tears misted over her eyes.
A tear slid down from the corner of her eye and disappeared into her hair.
She had heard everything just now. All those words had drilled into her mind.
This was simply humiliation. She was lying on the bed, unable to do anything, while Xie Qingyun took the opportunity to undo her buttons. Her senses were still intact. She had felt those hands approach her.
For no reason, nausea rose in her stomach. What Xie Qingyun had said disgusted her even more. How could she say something like that?
What did Xie Qingyun take her for?
Did she think Shi Yun was not picky about omegas at all, that anyone would do?
“Um, sorry to bother you. Is this Miss Shi’s home?”
The two standing people looked toward the door. A girl carrying a medical kit stood timidly at the entrance, greeting them.
