After Signing a Marking Agreement with the Abstinent Omega - Chapter 15
Jiangcheng, Song’an.
When Xie Queyou arrived, only twenty minutes had passed since Lin Wumo’s call.
She skillfully entered her information at the entrance and took the elevator to the thirteenth floor.
When the elevator opened, she ran to the front door and wanted to open it, only to remember that she did not know the password to Yun Wangqing’s home. She hurriedly called Lin Wumo.
The door opened. The first thing Xie Queyou sensed was the omnipresent cedar fragrance, overflowing everywhere.
“What exactly happened?”
Everything had been urgent along the way. Xie Queyou had rushed over as soon as she answered the call, and still did not know what had happened.
Lin Wumo was wearing a white coat. The cedar scent clinging to her body carried a strong mating aura. Any Alpha or Omega who smelled it would become dizzy.
Xie Queyou was no exception. The moment she approached Lin Wumo, her gland tugged at her nerves and throbbed, but her worry suppressed it.
Fortunately, Lin Wumo was a Beta and could not smell it. However, the brooch-like pheromone detector on her chest kept flashing red.
“I’m not clear on the exact details either. Today was supposed to be Yun Wangqing’s monthly trip to Qifeng Temple. But this evening, her driver called me and said Yun Wangqing’s illness had flared up.”
Her tone became more and more urgent, carrying anger and worry even she herself did not realize. “When I rushed over, I discovered that she had come into contact with high-level Alpha pheromones.”
“With her current physical condition, coming into contact with high-level Alpha pheromones other than yours is extremely dangerous. The suppressants prepared by the research institute can’t be injected at all. Her gland can’t tolerate the needle.”
She stepped forward and pressed both hands on Xie Queyou’s shoulders. “Right now, we can only rely on you.”
The more Xie Queyou listened, the more frightened she became. She took a deep breath.
“Okay.”
Lin Wumo saw her nervousness and patted her shoulder.
“After you go in, observe Yun Wangqing’s condition first. It would be best if you can make her a little more conscious. That way, when you mark her later, the treatment effect will be maximized.”
The detector on her chest was still flashing red. Lin Wumo took it off, her expression grave. “The pheromone concentration is at eighty percent right now. We can’t delay. Yun Wangqing is in the bedroom.”
Xie Queyou nodded and was about to walk over, but Lin Wumo called out to stop her again.
Lin Wumo walked over with a syringe in her hand. “Her current situation is special. Omega pheromones during heat naturally have an enticing effect. I remember your rut is coming soon too. You have to control your pheromones and must not lose consciousness.”
As she spoke, she tied a tourniquet around Xie Queyou’s arm. “Sorry. I need to give you a little sedative first.”
Xie Queyou understood and took the initiative to roll up her sleeve. “It’s fine. Yun Wangqing’s safety is the most important thing right now.”
As the needle pierced her vein, the cold liquid quickly flowed through her limbs and bones. Xie Queyou felt that her consciousness, which had been trapped in the cedar scent just now, suddenly cleared quite a bit.
She casually pressed down on the needle mark and walked to the bedroom door, placing her hand on the handle.
Lin Wumo pressed her lips together. “I’ll be in the guest room the whole time. Come find me at any time if anything happens. Yun Wangqing’s gland can’t be rushed. Take it slowly.”
Xie Queyou gave an “Mm.” Her face felt a little hot, but she forced it down. Taking a deep breath, she suppressed her nervousness and pushed open the door.
But she had only pushed open a tiny crack when the cedar scent, hundreds of times stronger than the one in the living room, seemed to find an opening and rushed desperately toward Xie Queyou.
Even Lin Wumo, who was only a Beta, subconsciously felt a sense of pressure. The detector on her chest let out a buzzing sound.
It broke immediately.
She stared at the pheromone detector in shock, breaking into a cold sweat for Xie Queyou.
Even though Xie Queyou had been injected with a sedative, when her gland came into contact with such a high concentration of pheromones, she still could not help letting out a muffled groan. Waves of heat rose from her gland, then were quickly extinguished.
She bit her tongue and forcibly suppressed the strange feeling. Then she stepped inside, closed the door, and sealed the cedar scent behind the door.
The bedroom lights were off, and the curtains were drawn. Everything was pitch black.
Xie Queyou could not see anything. The only thing accompanying her was the active cedar. She tentatively called Yun Wangqing’s name, but the moment she opened her mouth, the cedar scent surged toward her as if recognizing its owner.
It slipped into her sleeves, into her nose. Any place where it could approach the Alpha, it clung madly. Xie Queyou only felt her head grow heavy, and her consciousness suddenly began to float.
She took a deep breath, held onto the wall, and shook her dizzy head.
The room remained quiet. There was no response. Xie Queyou inwardly thought, Not good.
Yun Wangqing might have fainted. There was no time to lose. She immediately felt along the wall for the light switch. Just as her hand touched the switch and before she could press it, she suddenly heard a suppressed, soft whimper from the bed not far away.
Her movement paused. She hurriedly spoke, while also driving her own pheromones to soothe the suffering Omega. “Yun Wangqing, it’s me, Xie Queyou.”
There was the rustle of clothing from the bed. Xie Queyou thought for half a second and still decided not to turn on the light.
If the lights were off and she could not see, that was fine. But once the lights were on, facing Yun Wangqing would still make her feel embarrassed.
Although this was treatment, she did not have much experience. It would not be good if Yun Wangqing saw how helpless she was.
Xie Queyou slowed her steps and groped her way toward the bed in the darkness.
Her eyes gradually adjusted to the dark environment. In the dimness, she saw a figure lying on the bed.
“Yun Wangqing?”
She walked toward Yun Wangqing step by step. As she approached, that rich, impossible-to-ignore cedar scent grew even warmer, taking the initiative to move close to her gland and urging Xie Queyou to release more lime to mingle with it.
While she could still freely control her gland, Xie Queyou hurriedly released more pheromones to temporarily ease the condition in the room.
Once she was close, Xie Queyou could vaguely see the general state of the person on the bed.
But whether Yun Wangqing was unconscious or awake, she still did not know.
A portion of the lime in the air separated and moved closer to the woman in front of her.
At just that moment, a breeze slipped through the gap in the not-quite-closed window and stirred the curtains. Moonlight fell, illuminating the scene on the bed.
Xie Queyou finally saw the woman’s condition clearly.
Yun Wangqing had collapsed on the bed, her clothes in disarray, her entire body flushed with a strange redness.
Her eyes were unfocused, her lips parting and closing unconsciously as she gasped rapidly. She had fallen into a half-conscious, half-unconscious state.
Her eyes were looking at Xie Queyou as she approached, yet they also were not really looking. She had merely sensed the pheromones and turned her head instinctively.
Xie Queyou’s poor knowledge of this world left her unsure of what she could do. She could only futilely release pheromones and bend closer.
First, she would use a large amount of pheromones to ease Yun Wangqing’s condition.
The moment she leaned close, before she could even stand steadily, a pair of arms wrapped around her neck and pulled her down.
Caught off guard, she lost her balance and fell into the woman’s burning embrace.
The cedar scent instantly wrapped tightly around her, like venomous snakes coiling around prey, refusing ever to let go.
The cedar slipped through Xie Queyou’s breathing and into her brain and gland, crushing her calm consciousness bit by bit.
A dense heat rose at the back of her neck. Xie Queyou bit her lip and carefully stared at the woman in her arms, observing her condition.
Her face was flushed, her consciousness hazy, her entire body burning hot.
Xie Queyou’s heart suddenly sank.
Not good. Yun Wangqing’s current state was very wrong.
Yun Wangqing was still murmuring unconsciously. Her entire body was trembling, enduring immense pain.
The sound of the woman’s panting magnified beside her ear, a winding, seductive sound that begged for Xie Queyou to come closer.
“Help me… It’s so uncomfortable… Help me.”
The familiar lime melted into the cedar. Yun Wangqing sensed the antidote so close to her and desperately wanted to burrow into the woman’s arms.
“So hot… Your body is so cold.”
Her whole body was burning. The skin hunger triggered by pheromone rejection disorder made her crave Xie Queyou’s touch desperately. She only wanted to increase the area where their bodies touched.
She rubbed restlessly in Xie Queyou’s arms, feeling her body temperature, but it still was not enough.
No amount of pheromones or touch was anything more than drinking poison to quench thirst. What she needed was more—deeper contact.
But the woman in front of her was like a block of wood, not reacting no matter what.
She raised her head. In those hazy eyes was an almost reproachful emotion.
“You blockhead.”
Her tone was both cold and alluring, its anger mixed with a tremor as it fell into Xie Queyou’s ears.
Xie Queyou froze and almost forgot to control her pheromones. It was also at this moment that the cedar found a breakthrough. Surging Omega pheromones flooded over her, and a drowning sensation instantly swept through all her consciousness.
With every breath, her chest filled with rich cedar. Xie Queyou’s mind abruptly went blank.
The dose Lin Wumo had given her was still too small. Before this, neither of them had probably expected Xie Queyou and Yun Wangqing’s pheromones to fuse so well.
The lime, which had originally quietly obeyed her, actually broke through the restraint of the sedative and actively mingled with the cedar overflowing through the air.
Xie Queyou clearly sensed that her pheromones had completely broken free from her control. They were frantically kissing the woman in her arms, and even the skin around her gland was throbbing.
She felt as if she had been torn in half. One half was the clarity forced by the sedative, while the other half was the Alpha instinct that had been lured out. The two forces pulled at her, about to tear her apart.
Only belatedly did Xie Queyou realize how much weight Lin Wumo’s apology had carried.
While she was still conscious, Xie Queyou could not care about anything else. She bit her lip hard and did her best to suppress her throbbing nerves.
Holding the woman, she used all her strength to drive her gland and release enough pheromones to make someone faint.
The rich lime and cedar intertwined and exploded through the room in an instant.
Yun Wangqing clearly felt her gland being covered by a large amount of lime. It only lingered around the area and did not inject into the gland.
But that alone was enough to make her long-craving gland tremble with excitement. She could not help letting out a small beast-like whimper and reached out to hug Xie Queyou’s back tightly, with such strength that it seemed she wanted the two of them to melt together.
After a violent trembling that felt both long and brief, Yun Wangqing slowly calmed, finally returning to stillness. Only her rapid breathing remained, her strength gone soft.
Xie Queyou’s face was also deathly pale. Fine cold sweat seeped from her forehead. She swallowed, and only the sound of the two of them panting remained in the bedroom.
Xie Queyou held the woman and took a while to recover. At this moment, Yun Wangqing had become very obedient in her arms. When she breathed, the burning heat sprayed against Xie Queyou’s ear, dyeing her fair ear red.
Not long after, Xie Queyou felt the woman’s body temperature begin to rise again. She hurriedly spoke, controlling herself enough to say a coherent sentence.
“Right now, your pheromone rejection disorder has flared up. I have to help you…”
Simple pheromone soothing could not solve the problem. It only treated the symptoms, not the root. She still had to give her a temporary mark.
A temporary mark…
How did one give a temporary mark again? Was she supposed to hold it in her mouth or bite?
Damn it! She had forgotten everything about how to do it. The moment she got nervous, her mind turned into paste.
For the first time, Xie Queyou hated that her brain was so slow. She was so anxious she wanted to hit her own head. Clearly, in order to prepare, she had been secretly watching instructional videos these past two days.
But now that it was time for actual practice, she could not remember anything.
She organized her words, trying to think of something Yun Wangqing could accept.
But before she could speak, she felt her neck being pulled down again, and soft lips blocked her own.
“Mm…”
The words she was about to say were sealed in her throat. She looked in astonishment at the woman in her arms.
Her lips were blocked. At first, it was only a simple rubbing. Yun Wangqing was merely subconsciously drawing close to her. But later, realizing that this could not quench her thirst no matter what, she reached out with the tip of her tongue.
Like a small beast, she licked at Xie Queyou’s lips, pried them open, took the initiative to hook around Xie Queyou’s tongue, and deepened the kiss.
Her kissing skills were very inexperienced, and she even bit Xie Queyou several times. But how could Xie Queyou not also be experiencing this for the first time?
She froze on the spot, her mind completely blank, her entire body short-circuiting. She allowed the woman to hook her tongue and melt into that wet, warm softness, turning red from head to toe.
For a moment, only the ambiguous sounds of kissing remained in the room.
Gradually, a kiss born of craving began to change in flavor, becoming slow and careful, as if savoring the joy of this moment, reluctant to let go.
Xie Queyou easily sank into the woman’s embrace. She only felt that it smelled so good.
The cedar that had always been cool and distant now took the initiative to invite her, gradually breaking down Xie Queyou’s fragile consciousness. Xie Queyou could not help closing her eyes. Amid her violently pounding heart, she actually found a strange point of balance.
She became calm in such a passionate kiss, as if sinking into a vast snowfield.
In her arms was soft, warm snow. Everything was soft. In her heart, in her mind, in her consciousness, only the person before her remained. Only the thought of marking her remained.
She wanted to completely dye this Omega with her own scent and swallow her whole.
The wickedness and possessiveness belonging to Alpha instinct seized her heart. She was willing to offer up everything she had, only wishing to melt into a snowflake within the snowfield.
Bone and blood intertwined, never to be separated.
Xie Queyou could not hold back. She reached out and held the woman, her lips wandering over the woman’s cheek, brow, nose, and lips, kissing all the way down to her neck. The woman gently indulged her kisses.
It was as if whatever she did could be forgiven.
At the back and side of her neck, that burning patch of skin releasing a cold fragrance was just within reach.
Just a little more, and she could completely possess the Omega before her, inject her own pheromones, and make her belong entirely to herself.
A moment ago, she had not known how to mark someone. But now, guided by the instinct buried deep in an Alpha’s heart, her body knew how to react.
Xie Queyou held Yun Wangqing tightly, nuzzled against her neck, and rubbed her teeth there twice. Just as she was about to part her lips—
The hand on her shoulder suddenly pushed hard, and the distance between them was abruptly pulled apart.
Xie Queyou opened her eyes in confusion and saw, through her blurred vision, Yun Wangqing’s rejection of her.
Memories from many days ago surfaced. Xie Queyou’s beating heart suddenly froze, as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over it.
“Sorry. Was I still too impatient?” she apologized instinctively, reaching out to touch Yun Wangqing’s cheek, wanting to check the woman’s condition.
The moment her palm touched Yun Wangqing’s cheek, she felt hot wetness and froze.
Yun Wangqing was crying.
“Why…” The woman’s aggrieved, blaming voice flowed into her ears. It was a tone Xie Queyou had never heard from her before. The ending carried a slight curl, yet was also a little muffled, making one ache for her.
“I’m sorry.” Xie Queyou’s mind was a complete mess. The hot wetness spread along the lines of her palm into her heart. Her heart tightened slightly, and she softened her voice, apologizing sincerely.
“Did I fail to notice your condition? I’m sorry. I was afraid you were suffering too much, so I didn’t ask you before I…”
The woman’s wronged tone suddenly interrupted her.
“Why… why do you have so many Omegas?”
Xie Queyou froze, puzzled and confused.
I have Omegas?
“The smell on you is so unpleasant. I won’t let you mark me.” As Yun Wangqing spoke, she moved a little farther away, leaving Xie Queyou with her back.
She was truly angry.
Xie Queyou: ?
Xie Queyou: ???
She tugged at her clothes and brought them close to her nose to smell them. It was cedar, but there was something else mixed in with the cedar.
At a time like this, she had to thank her own sensitive nose. Although they were all cedar scents, there were still subtle differences between different cedar fragrances.
It was the scent left behind from when she had been testing perfumes that evening.
Xie Queyou’s brain, which had been sluggish all night, finally knew what to say.
“This isn’t the scent of an Omega,” Xie Queyou said, finding it somewhat difficult to speak.
“This is the scent of perfume.”
She remembered that Yun Wangqing had told her she had a cleanliness obsession.
“When I came tonight, I was in too much of a hurry and didn’t change clothes, so some perfume scent remained. This really isn’t pheromones. I’m very good at keeping promises.”
She silently fought for herself a little.
Lin Wumo had said that Omegas in heat became especially sensitive and easily felt wronged and teary. This was normal.
But Xie Queyou still could not help feeling distressed and guilty. She explained tirelessly, afraid that she had left Yun Wangqing with a bad impression and made her reject her even more.
At the same time, she felt a little happy, because Yun Wangqing saying this meant she had recognized her.
She scratched her head shyly. “How do you feel now?”
Yun Wangqing turned to look at her. In the darkness, her porcelain-white skin reflected a faint light, making one unable to resist wanting to hold her in their arms.
Xie Queyou looked at her, her heart trembling. “Do you still want to continue?”
Yun Wangqing lowered her eyes slightly. The temporary pheromone soothing just now had eased her consciousness a little, but only a little. Her body was still burning, and her legs rubbed together uncontrollably.
If this continued, it would not be long before she fell into that dazed state again, just like before, her consciousness completely occupied by pheromones, unable even to control herself.
Xie Queyou sat obediently opposite her, not saying anything, simply waiting for her to speak.
So obedient she seemed a little dazed.
There was only one reason Xie Queyou would appear here, and the two of them were already bound by an agreement. It was only that everything had happened a little too quickly.
She should learn to accept it. Sooner or later, she had to accept it.
Yun Wangqing lowered her head and slowly moved a little closer to Xie Queyou. She raised her eyes to look at her, and heat rose in her cheeks again.
“Mm.”
Her tone was soft, carrying both shyness and timidity. Like a stone thrown into a calm lake, it carried a meaning that allowed no refusal as she ordered Xie Queyou.
“Take your clothes off first. They smell awful.”
