After Signing a Marking Agreement with the Abstinent Omega - Chapter 16
If Yun Wangqing had not brought it up, Xie Queyou would not even have realized that she was still wearing her coat.
The room was filled with the rich mingling of cedar and lime. She had been steeped in that mixed fragrance, and a thin layer of hot sweat had broken out over her entire body.
Obediently listening to Yun Wangqing, she took off her coat.
Yun Wangqing was still dissatisfied. She frowned unhappily. “There’s still a smell. How much perfume did you spray?”
Her tone was both commanding and coquettish, far too different from her usual cold and aloof self.
Xie Queyou was too embarrassed to say that because her rut was approaching, she had missed Yun Wangqing’s pheromones too much and had spent the entire afternoon picking out perfumes at the mall.
Now look what had happened. The imitation was being rejected by the intense, authentic cedar scent. She only vaguely explained, “I accidentally knocked over some perfume and didn’t have time to clean it up.”
Then she took off the inner layer of clothing too. Now, she was only wearing a thin sports undershirt.
The original owner had been someone who liked eating and lazing around, but ever since Xie Queyou transmigrated over, she had been exercising. She thought she had trained herself fairly well. There was a thin layer of muscle over her abdomen, and because of the heat, beads of sweat seeped out and slid downward along the lines of her waist.
But neither of them could see this. The room was too dark.
Fortunately, it was dark. Otherwise, Xie Queyou did not know how long she would have hesitated before taking off her clothes.
“Now… can you still smell it?” Xie Queyou asked uneasily. Having to take off all her clothes in front of Yun Wangqing—even with the lights off—was still so embarrassing.
Yun Wangqing seemed to realize that the atmosphere was not quite right too. She pressed her lips together and stared at Xie Queyou’s abdomen, her heart beating fiercely. “You don’t need to take anything else off.”
Xie Queyou let out a breath of relief. “Then I’ll… start?”
Yun Wangqing did not answer, but she also did not move.
Xie Queyou knew that if she did not avoid her, it meant tacit permission.
Her heart beat like a drum in her chest. Her ears were filled with the sound of a heartbeat, though she could not tell whether it was hers or the other woman’s. It was terribly loud.
She slowly moved forward and hugged the thin woman in front of her, letting Yun Wangqing bury herself in her arms.
When she had first entered the room, her consciousness had been constantly tugged by pheromones. Now that she had finally regained a bit of clarity, holding the woman made her suddenly realize that Yun Wangqing was actually so thin.
She did not even dare use force while holding her, afraid she would crush her.
A pair of arms gently wrapped around her. Yun Wangqing also pressed against her embrace and took the initiative to expose her neck.
In the darkness, vision was blocked, but the other senses became especially sharp.
The heartbeats inside their two chests were almost in sync. Xie Queyou adjusted her breathing, her mind constantly recalling the methods she had learned from the videos before.
How to make an Omega feel safe and comfortable.
Her lips kissed Yun Wangqing’s jaw, slowly and carefully. The arms around her suddenly tightened a little, as if Yun Wangqing had been frightened.
She paused for a while, allowing Yun Wangqing to adjust. Only after the woman’s breathing steadied did she slowly kiss down along her neck to her collarbone.
At the same time, the arm around the woman tightened slightly, pulling her completely into her embrace.
Her lips placed fine, dense kisses along the collarbone. The Alpha’s possessiveness gradually occupied her boiling heart. She could not help parting her lips and holding that patch of fair skin between her teeth, rubbing lightly.
She did not use force. She simply liked it too much and did not know what to do, so she could only use this method to make the other person feel it.
Yun Wangqing could not help sucking in a breath. Her shoulders shrank, her neck arched, and the hand on Xie Queyou’s back pinched her in grievance.
Only then did Xie Queyou reluctantly let go. When she opened her eyes and looked, the area around the collarbone had already turned red.
“Hurry up…” Yun Wangqing urged, her voice still carrying the tearfulness from earlier.
Xie Queyou suppressed the Alpha instinct that wanted to destroy and moved closer to the patch of skin at the back of Yun Wangqing’s neck that gave off that cold fragrance. From the very beginning, it had been tempting her.
Without any other interference, the cold fragrance was especially excited. It drilled into Xie Queyou’s nose and leapt excitedly through her consciousness.
The nerves in her mind were about to snap. Following the desire in her heart, Xie Queyou parted her lips and kissed it.
The person in her arms suddenly began to tremble. Yun Wangqing subconsciously tried to escape her control, wanting to find something to hide behind, and ended up hugging the person in front of her tightly, burying herself in Xie Queyou’s embrace.
She did not know that this was walking right into the trap.
The tighter she hugged, the more it benefited Xie Queyou.
What surprised Xie Queyou was that the scent of cedar was not cold. Instead, it was extraordinarily sweet.
Threads of honeyed sweetness flowed into every limb and bone. She only felt as if she had fallen into a pine forest, surrounded everywhere by Yun Wangqing’s scent.
Even the depths of her soul trembled with it. She could not help wanting more. Lime broke through her gland and spread from her body, easily enveloping the two of them.
Just the kissing alone had already drained Yun Wangqing of strength. She did not even have the energy to resist.
She panted, only wanting Xie Queyou to hurry up and end all of this. But this Alpha seemed to have found some delicious toy and refused to move on to the next step no matter what.
Repeated kissing, licking, and biting made Yun Wangqing so weak that even the strength to angrily scold her scattered away. Only then did Xie Queyou reluctantly let go.
Yun Wangqing was practically gritting her teeth. She could feel the changes in her own body and was nearly breaking down.
She lifted her hand and hammered Xie Queyou’s back, but she truly had no strength. Rather than venting anger, it looked more like flirting.
Sure enough, Xie Queyou misunderstood. She went to kiss the corner of Yun Wangqing’s lips in infatuation, her eyes filled with fascination so thick it could not be dissolved. She was completely different from the serious, restrained person she had been earlier.
At some unknown point, the sharp lime had taken on warmth. Obeying its owner’s instructions, it rubbed against Yun Wangqing’s cheek like a puppy.
Thin strands wrapped around her fingertips, possessively wanting her to touch only itself.
Yun Wangqing suddenly stiffened, realizing that the Alpha’s rut had arrived.
Yun Wangqing pressed her lips together. Her own consciousness was about to sink too. If they did not hurry, neither of them would be able to control what happened next.
Xie Queyou suddenly liked touching Yun Wangqing like this so much. She was obsessed with the scent on her body, with her embrace.
No matter what, it did not feel like enough. Suddenly, she felt so sad. She wondered why she could not shrink down, hated that she was not a wisp of cloud or mist. That way, she could slip into Yun Wangqing’s body, truly merge with her flesh and blood, and never separate again.
Her infatuated state had not eased when her ear was suddenly taken between someone’s lips. Along with a burning breath, Yun Wangqing bit her lightly. There was a tiny bit of pain.
Frustration, shame, urging—all her emotions turned into this one action.
Xie Queyou froze for a moment and came back to herself from that fascinated state, tilting her head in confusion.
Yun Wangqing’s breathing was already a mess. She could not speak and could only urge Xie Queyou with her eyes. Those moist eyes stared straight at her, beautiful enough to steal one’s soul.
I really want to kiss her, Xie Queyou thought messily.
Fortunately, although the Alpha was dazed, she was very obedient. Sensing the other woman’s urging, she stopped tormenting her, held Yun Wangqing again, and kissed the back of her neck.
Then she bit down.
Clear lime pierced through the skin between her teeth and entered Yun Wangqing’s fragile gland.
Yun Wangqing abruptly hugged Xie Queyou tightly. Her whole body tensed, her fingertips digging so hard they seemed about to sink into Xie Queyou’s skin, and faint, small sobs escaped her.
Xie Queyou also suffered an enormous impact. There were too many pheromones, so rich that she could barely breathe.
Pure pheromones came directly into contact with the gland, bringing an overwhelming pleasure neither of them had expected.
Cedar and lime fused completely in this instant, exchanging with one another, you within me and me within you.
Yun Wangqing almost collapsed in her arms. The moment Xie Queyou bit into her gland, too much lime flowed through her veins.
While it ended her heat, her weak body could no longer withstand it, and she fainted.
Xie Queyou forced herself through her blurred consciousness and laid the unconscious woman flat on the bed, carefully distinguishing her condition.
Her body temperature had gone down. Her breathing was steady. She should be all right.
Only then did she relax. She struggled to stand, wanting to find Lin Wumo and have her check on Yun Wangqing’s condition.
She stood up. The next second, as she lifted her foot, she suddenly lost consciousness.
—
When she opened her eyes again, Xie Queyou was lying on a bed.
The curtains were drawn, but a few rays of sunlight still slipped through the gaps, allowing her to roughly see the room’s decor.
She sat up sleepily and looked around. The chaotic memories from last night gradually surfaced.
The air no longer held the scent of their entangled pheromones from last night. It was clean, as if nothing had ever happened.
The bedsheets and quilt were new. Xie Queyou guessed that she was probably in the guest room.
Where was Yun Wangqing? How was she now?
Xie Queyou lifted the quilt, only to discover that it was not just the quilt—the clothes she was wearing were no longer the same set from yesterday.
Her eyes instantly cleared. She hurriedly stood up and pushed open the guest room door.
The living room was bright. There was no one there, and it was so quiet she could hear the cicadas outside the window.
The newly changed sleepwear had no pockets, so Xie Queyou returned to the guest room. Sure enough, she found her phone on the bedside table.
When she opened it, Lin Wumo’s messages were the first thing listed on the lock screen.
[The treatment was completed very well. Yun Wangqing is fine now. Rest properly.]
[Yun Wangqing’s heat is very strange. She needs your pheromones constantly. If you can stay with her these next two days, then stay. It would be best if you could accompany her the entire time.]
The messages were from eleven o’clock last night.
She had actually slept straight through to eight the next morning.
This marking thing really was physical labor.
Not in a hurry to reply to Lin Wumo, she went to the living room and saw the kitten curled up asleep in its nest. Not far away, the cat food in the bowl had already reached the bottom.
Last time she came, she had helped Yun Wangqing move the cat food, so she knew where it was kept.
She went to get some and fed the kitten. While watching the kitten eat, Xie Queyou wondered whether she should say goodbye to Yun Wangqing and come back again at night.
As she thought this, she suddenly remembered the first time they marked in the hotel. Yun Wangqing had left without saying anything to her.
Hmph.
She would not do that.
Xie Queyou stood up and went to the bedroom door, then knocked.
“Yun Wangqing?”
No one answered.
Was she still asleep, or had her illness flared up again?
Xie Queyou did not dare gamble. She pressed the door handle, and the door was not locked.
She gently pushed it open and immediately smelled the lime and cedar scent in the air that had not yet dispersed. Memories of last night surged back into her mind once more.
Her face suddenly turned red.
After an entire night, the pheromones had already dispersed quite a bit. She stepped inside and saw a raised lump under the quilt on the bed.
Yun Wangqing was still asleep. Half her face was buried in the quilt, her hair messy, yet she looked especially real.
Afraid of disturbing her, Xie Queyou walked over carefully and quietly, like a thief.
This was the second time she had seen Yun Wangqing’s sleeping face. The first time had been a fright. Now, however, her feelings were different.
Unlike the cold, otherworldly immortal portrayed on television, Yun Wangqing still frowned even in sleep. She lay on her side hugging the quilt, curling herself into a small little ball, making one feel especially sorry for her.
The quilt was still the one from last night. When Xie Queyou walked closer, she could even smell a stronger scent of lime and cedar.
Just how intense had they been? Xie Queyou clicked her tongue inwardly.
Xie Queyou touched her neck. Her gland was still trembling, as if it had not yet recovered from last night’s lingering sensations. She shook her head, throwing away the messy memories.
Yun Wangqing was still sleeping, so Xie Queyou had no intention of staying any longer.
Yun Wangqing had truly been exhausted yesterday. Xie Queyou could not bear to disturb her and prepared to leave.
But just as she took two steps, she heard the rustle of clothing behind her.
Her steps froze, and the hairs on her back stood up.
After waiting for a while and hearing no other movement, she turned around curiously, only to see Yun Wangqing turn over and lie flat, continuing to sleep.
She let out a breath of relief.
Her gaze could not help lingering on Yun Wangqing for a little longer, and then it was fixed by the shocking redness on her collarbone.
Xie Queyou was greatly alarmed. She walked toward Yun Wangqing and stood by the bed. Lowering her head, she clearly saw that patch of red marks, and the tips of her ears instantly burned bright red.
This… was all my doing?
Why was it so red? She remembered that she had not used much force. Or was Yun Wangqing’s skin simply too fair, making even the slightest mark especially obvious?
The more Xie Queyou looked, the redder her ears became. In her panic, she shifted her eyes away and looked upward—only to meet a pair of clear, cold eyes that had just awakened.
Xie Queyou: “…”
Xie Queyou: “…Hi.”
