After the Scum Alpha Picked Up Her Rival Omega - Chapter 10
When it came down to it, Ming Ruixue wasn’t exactly a magnanimous person; she certainly couldn’t remain calm after being kissed.
What’s more, the person who kissed her actually had the nerve to try and escape. Having been taken advantage of, how could Ming Ruixue just let her flee?
“Si Xia, don’t you have anything you want to say?”
Ming Ruixue stood very close, using one hand to trap Si Xia in the corner between herself and the wall.
Given their posture, Si Xia’s line of sight fell exactly on the hickey on Ming Ruixue’s neck.
Red, fresh, and newly minted.
Si Xia silently lifted her gaze, feigning composure. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Does she really not remember, or is she pretending?
Ming Ruixue slowly pointed to her neck. “You kissed this. Don’t remember?”
An Omega’s heat comes on like a tidal wave, and with such a fragrant Alpha pheromone nearby, it was normal for Si Xia to lose control at the time.
But Si Xia refused to admit to kissing her rival. “Maybe some other Omega kissed it. You forgot, and it wasn’t necessarily me.”
With one sentence, she cleared herself completely and even managed to blacken Ming Ruixue’s reputation in the process.
Based on the original owner’s character, that might have been possible, but for Ming Ruixue—a clean and pure catnip spirit—it was absolutely out of the question.
Ming Ruixue lowered her gaze, her brow furrowing. “Are you saying I’m slandering you?”
Si Xia opened her round eyes wide, looking innocent. “Of course. I don’t have a habit of kissing rivals.”
She was incredibly, specifically self-righteous.
“Do you really not remember?”
“Mhm.”
Ming Ruixue directly reached out, hooked Si Xia’s nape, and pushed her toward the side of her own neck. “Then I don’t mind recreating the scene once more.”
Ming Ruixue was five centimeters taller than Si Xia. As she pulled Si Xia toward her, she offered up her slender neck.
Si Xia was forced to look up, facing Ming Ruixue’s fair, pinkish neck. The Omega grew visibly nervous.
“Still not admitting it?” Ming Ruixue continued to hold Si Xia, pushing her closer bit by bit.
The delicate Si Xia’s strength was no match for Ming Ruixue. Any closer, and Si Xia’s lips would be pressed against Ming Ruixue’s skin.
How can there be someone as roguish as Ming Ruixue!
Being completely encircled in a catnip-scented embrace, Si Xia was terrified that the heat she had just suppressed would be triggered again.
Si Xia gritted her teeth in resignation. “I. Admit. It.”
She wasn’t someone who was afraid to own up to her actions.
Ming Ruixue let out a lazy, triumphant smile. “It’s good that you admitted it. I thought I was being ‘set up’ by my rival.”
The Alpha emphasized the word “rival,” making Si Xia so angry she was about to bristle.
But Ming Ruixue wasn’t done yet. She pressed further. “It wouldn’t be too much to ask for some compensation for mental distress, would it?”
Eh?
Does this Alpha have a conscience? It was just a kiss.
Si Xia spoke with difficulty, “That was my first kiss…”
“First time?” Ming Ruixue’s lips curled suggestively. “So this was the first time you’ve kissed someone.”
What kiss? That wasn’t a kiss at all.
Si Xia lifted her chin, refusing to show weakness. “So what exactly do you want? Just say it.”
“Hmm… I haven’t thought of it yet.” Ming Ruixue smiled at her. “But I’ve remembered it. You owe me a favor.”
Si Xia slowly clenched her fists. “You better not make any excessive demands.”
Ming Ruixue shrugged. “No guarantees.”
Meow-ooh!
Si Xia was so angry her cat ears were about to pop out. She wanted to use her cat legs to kick her rival’s face. Since she was so frustrated, she decided she would do exactly that tonight!
Si Xia used her index finger to poke Ming Ruixue’s shoulder, pushing her away huffily. “Move! I’m going back to my ward.”
Ming Ruixue stepped aside and couldn’t help but laugh at Si Xia’s retreating back.
Teasing a frustrated cat was indeed much more interesting—especially when she wanted to bristle but had to endure you smoothing her fur.
Thinking this, Ming Ruixue’s desire to raise a cat grew even more fervent. It would be even better if the cat’s personality was just like Si Xia’s.
Returning to the ward, Si Xia couldn’t help but bury herself in her pillow, her face rolling around in the soft cotton.
Why did I kiss my rival, ahhhh!
And now her rival had dirt on her. She truly had no face left.
In a few days, they would film the dating variety show. They would see each other constantly on the program; who knew what kind of outrageous demands her rival would make?
“Ugh, so annoying.” Si Xia ruffled her hair, silently praying, “I hope the production team doesn’t put us in the same group.”
Zhan Qiangwei walked in just as Si Xia was splayed out on the bed, her legs carelessly spread apart.
“Si Xia, act like a lady.” Zhan Qiangwei walked over and pushed her legs together. “What would people think if they saw you like this?”
“Ah—” Si Xia lay on her side, legs stacked. “I know.”
Zhan Qiangwei could tell at a glance that something was wrong. “Did something happen?”
Just as Si Xia opened her mouth, Zhan Qiangwei interrupted, “Let me be clear: the company does not allow you to be in a relationship right now.”
“I’m not in a relationship!” Si Xia sat up abruptly. “Sister Qiangwei, don’t talk nonsense.”
Zhan Qiangwei took off her glasses. “Is that hickey on Ming Ruixue’s neck your masterpiece?”
“…” Si Xia bit her lip. “That was an accident.”
“So it really was you?”
“…”
Zhan Qiangwei’s eyes flickered slightly. “Si Xia, Ming Ruixue is not someone you can provoke. Don’t end up getting played.”
“Sister Qiangwei, there’s really nothing between Ming Ruixue and me.”
Si Xia didn’t like the word “played.” She wouldn’t be played by Ming Ruixue. Though, she could certainly play with Ming Ruixue a bit.
At 9:00 PM, Si Xia was the only one left in the ward; the doctor wouldn’t be back for rounds until tomorrow morning.
Her Omega heat hadn’t passed yet. With a single focus of will, Si Xia easily transformed into a cat.
With her beautiful tail perked up, Si Xia leaped nimbly out of the window.
Ming Ruixue lived within the Southern City district. At a cat’s running speed, she arrived at her rival’s house in less than five minutes.
Standing by the window of her rival’s bedroom, Si Xia narrowed her blue eyes. Should I give her a little ‘gift’?
While she was thinking seriously, she didn’t notice someone walking straight over from the bathroom.
As the catnip scent approached, Si Xia was scooped up by Ming Ruixue. Then, the window was shut tight and locked, leaving not even a crack.
“Meow-ooh!!!”
Si Xia kicked her cat legs. Don’t hold me! Why did you lock the window!
“One day apart and you’re still this fierce.”
Ming Ruixue gently rubbed the cat’s head, then turned the beautiful cat around so she was lying on her chest.
Si Xia had been facing away; by the time she reacted, one cat paw had slipped into Ming Ruixue’s loose bath towel.
Ming Ruixue felt a bit tickled. “Kitty, can you move your paw?”
“Meow-ooh?”
Si Xia tilted her face up slightly, staring blankly at the scene before her. Her gaze traveled from her rival’s delicate chin downward, all the way to her rival’s high curves.
“Meow-ooh!”
Startled, Si Xia jumped out of her rival’s arms. In her panic, her claws accidentally snagged the bath towel Ming Ruixue was wearing.
When Si Xia looked back, she swallowed hard.
This sultry scene—
Ho-how did her rival’s towel just fall off like that…
