Chapter 25
The moment the tissue was snatched away, the distance between them was barely a centimeter. There was no time to dodge and no way to avoid it.
Under the heavy pressure of the fall, Ming Ruixue’s elbows gave way. Her lips pressed directly against Si Xia’s, her upper lip pushing into Si Xia’s mouth.
It was a seamless kiss. Ming Ruixue caught Si Xia’s soft lower lip, their teeth clashing briefly.
Ming Ruixue froze for a split second before her lip was bitten. Si Xia’s face flushed a deep crimson; her hands braced against Ming Ruixue’s chest to push her away, her face turning to the side in a frantic rejection.
Ming Ruixue’s lips brushed past the Omega’s cheek as she reflexively lifted her head. “I—I’m sorry.”
Ban Yun and Fu Anzhi, having completed their mission as “wingmen,” retreated into the shadows, their work done.
The viewers in the bullet comments were collectively spamming “thumbs up” emojis.
Ming Ruixue forgot to move; it wasn’t until Si Xia pushed her away in clear resistance that she snapped back to reality. She even hurried over to shut off the camera.
Ming Ruixue lightly licked her lips. The tip of her tongue still carried the sweet, milky taste from Si Xia’s mouth.
It had been a deep kiss—soft flesh touching soft flesh.
The “Sweet Punishment” game had gone a bit too far; they had done something almost as intimate as a temporary marking.
Ming Ruixue wanted to apologize, but to her surprise, Si Xia simply wiped her lips and ran out with reddened eyes.
It’s over.
I made her cry.
Ming Ruixue chased after her, at a total loss. “Si Xia…”
Cameras were installed everywhere on the cruise ship. Si Xia ran to a secluded corner, successfully dodging all the filming equipment to hide in the shadows.
The Alpha’s catnip scent lingered in her nose; the scent on Ming Ruixue’s lips had been even more fragrant.
Si Xia clutched her heart as she hid against the wall. Ugh, it’s beating a bit too fast.
The swirling catnip pheromones drew closer. When Si Xia looked up, Ming Ruixue was standing right in front of her.
Si Xia’s lips were red, and the skin at the corner of her mouth was slightly torn.
Ming Ruixue looked at her with concern. “Are you okay?”
Si Xia turned away. “What did you follow me for?”
“Turn around.” Ming Ruixue placed her hands on Si Xia’s shoulders and forced her to face her, looking down into her eyes. “Let me see your mouth. It looks like it’s bleeding.”
It really was torn; there was a faint metallic taste of blood. Si Xia reached up to brush the corner of her mouth, her voice trembling slightly. “It hurts like hell.”
Ming Ruixue felt incredibly guilty. “I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I couldn’t hold myself up.”
The Alpha’s tone was full of apology, which gave Si Xia a strange feeling. “You don’t feel anything else? You just feel… sorry?”
Ming Ruixue was a bit dazed by Si Xia’s two questions. She licked her lips and thought for a moment. “Actually, I’m hurting like hell, too.”
Si Xia: “?”
Is she here to demand an explanation from ME?
Si Xia shot her a look, feeling she was about to die of anger. “Not as much as I am.”
Ming Ruixue’s entire body weight had come down on her; though she had tried to control the force, they had still collided. “The person on the bottom usually hurts more.”
Even at a time like this, she’s still using wordplay to take advantage. Si Xia gave her a kick. “Ming Ruixue, how can you be so shameless?”
A synonym for shameless is “brazen.”
Ming Ruixue let out a short laugh. “Whatever you say.”
She really is brazen.
Si Xia puffed out her cheeks in annoyance, her previous awkwardness completely gone.
“I am shameless,” Ming Ruixue said, licking her lips as if reminiscing. “But I tasted that you are very sweet.”
After the Taekwondo segment ended, the production team received an offer from a sponsor, inviting Ming Ruixue and Si Xia to film a promotional advertisement for a product.
The product being promoted was the same style of necktie Ming Ruixue had used.
The necktie used to bind Si Xia in the “Business CP” photo had been identified by fans as a product under the KL brand. The KL brand had been dormant and lukewarm in the domestic market for years, but overnight, their warehouse was sold out. Therefore, the KL brand manager, to show gratitude, offered a high price to invite Ming Ruixue and Si Xia to be the official spokespersons for the KL brand.
Ming Ruixue agreed quickly. That tie was hers to begin with; making it a bestseller was an unexpected bonus.
Si Xia initially didn’t want to take the ad—the impression left by being tied up was a bit much—but Zhan Qiangwei said this opportunity shouldn’t be missed. If the offer is there, take it.
The KL staff boarded the cruise ship and set up a temporary photography studio on the sixth floor.
In the Dressing Room.
Si Xia’s makeup was finished, and the stylist was currently curling the ends of her hair. “Teacher Si Xia, your hair quality is so good.”
Si Xia pursed her lips and smiled. The stylist was a KL staff member named Bei Chuanchuan, who claimed to be her fan.
However, looking at Bei Chuanchuan’s face through the mirror, Si Xia felt a creeping sensation.
Once the curling was done, Bei Chuanchuan let out a startled cry, “Teacher Si Xia, don’t move!”
Si Xia was startled. Suddenly, she felt a sharp prickle on the back of her neck. “Ah!”
“It’s a little spider. Let me take it off for you.” Bei Chuanchuan lifted Si Xia’s hair, revealing her snowy-white neck. Just as she was about to reach out, someone beat her to it.
Ming Ruixue grabbed the little spider and gave it a light squeeze. “It’s okay now. It’s gone.”
Bei Chuanchuan froze. The little spider was dead.
Si Xia immediately stood up and hid behind Ming Ruixue. “I’m terrified of spiders! Help me check if there are any more?”
Si Xia’s hand gripped Ming Ruixue’s wrist, her body pressing tightly against her. She looked truly terrified.
Bei Chuanchuan’s eyes darkened for a moment, but she quickly offered comfort. “Little spiders won’t bite. It was so small, even if it bit someone, it wouldn’t hurt. Teacher Si Xia doesn’t need to be afraid.”
Si Xia felt there was something strange about the way Bei Chuanchuan spoke, and she couldn’t stop shivering.
Ming Ruixue pulled Si Xia by the shoulder, providing her with a sense of security. “Don’t be afraid. I’ll protect you.”
