Chapter 36
The bar was crowded, and even the private booths had people coming and going; it wasn’t very safe.
Ming Ruixue could handle herself, but now that Si Xia was involved, this was no place to linger.
Tan Rui handed her house key card to Ming Ruixue. “My family’s hotel is right across the street. Why don’t you two stay there for the night?”
Taking an Omega to a hotel was out of the question.
Ming Ruixue replied, “I’m taking her home.”
Tan Rui didn’t press further. “Alright then. Sweetie and I are heading out. I’ll leave the card with you just in case.”
As she spoke, Tan Rui tucked the card into Ming Ruixue’s trench coat and reminded her, “Put on a mask when you go out. Don’t get caught by the paparazzi.”
“I know.”
Once Tan Rui left, only Ming Ruixue and Si Xia remained in the booth. Ming Ruixue gently patted Si Xia’s cheek; it was slightly feverish and her skin was flushed pink. Exactly how much had she drunk?
“Si Xia, where do you live? I’ll take you home.”
Ming Ruixue tried to straighten the wobbling Si Xia, but the girl was like a boneless creature, slumping right back against her.
Ming Ruixue tried to wake her up, pinching her earlobe slightly. “Where is your house? Tell me.”
Pinched, Si Xia finally had a reaction. She blearily opened her eyes, saw the person in front of her, and tilted her head to nuzzle against Ming Ruixue’s fragrant neck. As if addicted, she even gave it a lick.
The touch of that moist, small tongue made Ming Ruixue pinch Si Xia’s chin. “No! You’re not allowed to mess around…”
The moment Si Xia heard the word “No,” her movements became cat-like. She forcefully batted Ming Ruixue’s hand away. With no one holding her chin, she successfully dove into Ming Ruixue’s embrace, straddling her lap with her legs apart.
She was far too clingy. Ming Ruixue pressed a hand to her forehead. “Tell me, what do you want?”
Si Xia shook her head. “Go home… then I’ll tell you.”
Ming Ruixue sat back a bit to create distance, but Si Xia followed her forward. She was wearing a short skirt; every time she nudged, her delicate skin felt as smooth as milk silk.
Ming Ruixue held her breath, not daring to move. “Then tell me, where is your home?”
“…Home?” Si Xia shook her head again. “My place has bad soundproofing. I don’t want to go there…”
Ming Ruixue: “…”
If they kept talking, she didn’t know where the conversation would lead. She decided to take her back to her own place first.
“I’ll take you to my house, is that okay?”
After Ming Ruixue asked, Si Xia nodded. “But you… aren’t allowed to do anything to me…”
“What are you thinking?” Ming Ruixue tried to stand up. “Get off me first.”
Si Xia hugged her waist and acted spoiled, mumbling, “I don’t want to. My legs hurt.”
At the mention of leg pain, a ripple of guilt went through Ming Ruixue’s heart. “Fine, fine, fine. It’s all my fault. I’ll carry you out. Be good and don’t move around.”
“Mhm.”
Si Xia lay against her like a kitten, her hands pressing against Ming Ruixue’s chest. Ming Ruixue adjusted her posture, letting the girl hook her arms around her neck. Finally, she draped her trench coat over Si Xia, covering her completely.
“Mmph—” Si Xia poked her head out, her forehead bumping against Ming Ruixue’s chin. “It’s stuffy.”
“Endure it for a bit.” Ming Ruixue pressed her head back down, braced her back, and stood up.
Before she could even take a step, the grip on her waist tightened. Si Xia climbed higher up her neck. “I’m going to fall, wuwu…”
“…”
Ming Ruixue’s arm moved down to secure her waist, but Si Xia still complained it wasn’t enough. She kept sliding down until Ming Ruixue was fully supporting her weight from underneath; only then was Si Xia satisfied.
Ming Ruixue accepted her fate. She had invited an ancestor back home.
Wearing a mask, she left the bar. There were many empty taxis outside. Ming Ruixue chose a female driver and hailed the car.
While waiting for the taxi to u-turn, Ming Ruixue felt her collar slip to one side, the night wind blowing down past her collarbone. She was wearing a deep-V neckline today that highlighted her curves; paired with the trench coat, it was a “cool older sister” style, but without the coat, it was pure sex appeal.
Si Xia wouldn’t stay still. She was kneading and playing with her, even nipping at her with her teeth.
A shiver ran through Ming Ruixue’s entire body. The biting made her legs go weak. But since they were outdoors, she could only force herself to stay calm, pressing one hand on Si Xia’s head to stop her from moving.
Finally, the taxi arrived. Ming Ruixue pulled open the door and gave the address. The female driver remained calm seeing their hugging posture; at a bar entrance, this was normal.
Once they were settled, the taxi drove off smoothly.
Ming Ruixue looked straight ahead, using one hand to pinch Si Xia’s chin. It was only when Si Xia felt the pain that she finally let go.
Finally having freed her own flesh, Ming Ruixue immediately straightened her clothes. She pulled Si Xia’s head out so they were at eye level. The girl didn’t look like she’d done anything wrong at all; she licked her moist lips, looking like she wanted more. “Sister, I want more.”
In the quiet car, Si Xia’s delicate voice trailed upward.
It was impossible for the driver not to hear. Ming Ruixue frowned, covering Si Xia’s lips with her hand. “Shh! Don’t talk.”
Drunk Si Xia wouldn’t listen to anyone. The more she was told not to speak, the more she wanted to. She even bit down on Ming Ruixue’s finger—first a nip, then she held it in her mouth.
Then, the look in her eyes changed.
Ming Ruixue quickly pulled her hand away, only to watch as two small cat ears sprouted from within Si Xia’s black curly hair.
The trench coat behind her also bulged; her cat tail couldn’t stretch out, so it remained curled inside the coat.
Oh my god.
The trench coat was once again pulled over Si Xia’s head. Why did this Omega revert to her original form as soon as she drank too much?
There was still some distance to her home. Ming Ruixue said, “Please drive a bit faster.”
The driver stepped on the gas.
Ming Ruixue’s heart pounded, terrified that someone would notice the abnormality of the person in her arms.
But Si Xia didn’t care. She lifted her face, which was flushed from the stuffiness, and said uncomfortably, “Sister, do you know about a cat’s heat cycle?”
How could Ming Ruixue not know? She closed her eyes and gave a brief “Mhm” in response.
A cat’s heat is like a punishment; the physical discomfort cannot be released, leading to pained meowing, weakness, and loss of appetite.
Ming Ruixue suddenly had a bad premonition. “Si Xia, you can’t be… in heat right now?”
Drunk Si Xia replied in an innocent tone, “Mhm.”
Ming Ruixue: “…”
As far as she knew, an Omega’s “heat” and a cat’s “heat” were different. An Omega’s heat could be relieved through a temporary marking, but a cat’s heat…
Ming Ruixue frowned in distress. “Si Xia, maybe I should have your friend pick you up and take you home.”
Si Xia naturally refused. With a piece of human-shaped catnip right here, she didn’t want to go anywhere. Furthermore, she was in heat; without the option of being spayed, staying near catnip grass was the most comfortable thing.
Drunk Si Xia knew exactly what she wanted, and she was bolder than the night before. She twisted her waist to relieve the tension. “Sister…”
Ming Ruixue’s scalp felt numb. She whispered, “Doesn’t it still hurt?”
“But I’m uncomfortable.” Si Xia couldn’t help but nuzzle her forehead against her, a “meow-wuhu” purr escaping her throat.
Fortunately, the taxi stopped. Ming Ruixue paid and carried her out. Only after entering the villa area did she feel they were in a safe zone.
Ming Ruixue’s heart was still hanging by a thread. She placed her on the soft bed. When the trench coat was removed, a fluffy, beautiful tail wrapped around Ming Ruixue’s wrist.
Si Xia lay on the bed, her tail perked up and her skirt flipped up, revealing her cute underwear. Ming Ruixue looked away and covered her with a blanket. “I’ll get you some water.”
The water was lukewarm. She didn’t know if drinking it would help. Ming Ruixue held Si Xia in her arms and fed her a few sips. “Better?”
“No…”
The alcohol content in the two glasses of fruit wine wasn’t high, but combined with the cat heat, it made her intoxication several degrees heavier.
Si Xia’s cat ears drooped softly. Her warm lips pressed against Ming Ruixue’s ear, almost pleading, “Sister, do it with me…”
It was perfectly logical for a cat in heat to need mating.
But… Si Xia was a human!
Ming Ruixue had already suffered a blow to her conscience by doing it once; if she did it again now, she really wouldn’t be human! Last time Si Xia was sober; this time she wasn’t. She had no idea how the girl would freak out when she woke up tomorrow.
Ming Ruixue firmly refused. “No. Just endure it for a bit, okay? it’ll pass soon.”
Rejected, Si Xia sat on the bed looking aggrieved, her cat tail swaying uncomfortably, looking like she was about to cry.
Ming Ruixue couldn’t help but pat Si Xia’s back, but Si Xia shifted her position, turning her tail toward her.
Ming Ruixue paused. “…”
After a few seconds of hesitation, Ming Ruixue gave it two light pats. Si Xia let out a comfortable “Meow meow.”
A strong sense of guilt surged up; Ming Ruixue didn’t dare pat anymore.
Patting was only a temporary relief; stopping suddenly was even worse for Si Xia. The side effects were greater, and the discomfort doubled.
Si Xia pounced on Ming Ruixue, sitting on her knees, trying to soften Ming Ruixue with nuzzles. If she didn’t help her, Si Xia was going to go crazy with frustration.
Soft cat ears rubbed against her face, smelling of warm milk. Ming Ruixue swallowed hard. Her leg moved and brushed against Si Xia’s, making the girl let out a whimper.
It was as light as a feather brushing against her heart. Ming Ruixue didn’t dare touch her anymore. She placed the girl back on the bed and took out her phone, trying to search for what to do for a cat in heat.
As Ming Ruixue sat by the bed, Si Xia came over, leaning on her shoulder and nuzzling against her.
So clingy.
Ming Ruixue tried to reason with her, showing her the phone screen. “Si Xia, I’m looking for ways to help you feel better. Do you want to see if any of these work?”
Si Xia blinked. The screen showed various photos and videos of cats in heat wagging their tails and rolling on the floor.
“I’m not the same as these kittens…” Si Xia pointed to herself, still somewhat lucid. “I’m a human right now.”
Ming Ruixue communicated with her: “The principle is the same. Pick one, okay?”
Si Xia was in real pain, so she reluctantly nodded and looked at the screen weakly. The font was too small. Si Xia said, “I can’t read the words.”
“Then I’ll read them to you one by one. Tell me if one sounds useful.”
Ming Ruixue scrolled through the internet records. With so many entries, there had to be one suitable for Si Xia.
“Method one: Play with the cat until it’s exhausted.”
Si Xia frowned in disdain. She had no strength at all. Ming Ruixue also felt it was unreasonable. PASS.
“Method two: Use delicious food to distract the cat.”
Si Xia didn’t seem to have an appetite either. Ming Ruixue realized these were for actual kittens, not for Si Xia. PASS.
“Method three: Use a cotton—”
Before she finished reading, Ming Ruixue passed it immediately. Inappropriate.
“Method four: You can lick through plastic wrap…”
—The rest of the unread sentence was (lick the cat’s butt), doing so would make the cat feel heavenly.
The internet was really unreliable. Ming Ruixue tossed the phone aside, her gaze meeting Si Xia’s expectant eyes. Ming Ruixue leaned back, quickly stopping her. “No.”
Si Xia’s eyes were burning. “I can’t use… plastic wrap?”
Si Xia’s logic was truly leaping. Ming Ruixue turned her face away. “I’m saying this method is not allowed.”
“Meow meow~” Si Xia’s gaze followed her, her tail hooking around Ming’s neck. Her breath smelled faintly of alcohol. “But Sister, this method works.”
“Even if it works, it’s a no.” Ming Ruixue removed the clingy tail and wrapped Si Xia in the blanket. “Go to sleep, or I won’t be nice to you.”
The blanket was wrapped several times, trapping Si Xia so she couldn’t move. She was so frustrated she was about to cry. “Wuwuwu Sister, let me out, I’m so uncomfortable.”
An Omega’s tears come easily. Ming Ruixue was scared; she turned back and rescued her from the blanket. Usually, people who drink too much just pass out, but Si Xia liked to be clingy and went into heat.
Ming Ruixue pinched her pink cheek, nearly begging for mercy herself. “What will it take for you to go to sleep, huh?”
Si Xia’s eyes were red, and she said one word: “Lick.”
“I can’t do that.” Ming Ruixue was truly terrified. Seeing her in pain but unable to bear it, she said, “I’ll go make you something good to eat. Hungry?”
“Not hungry!” Si Xia dove into the covers angrily, meowing as if she were crying. Her exposed tail wagged rapidly in protest that she was in real pain.
Ming Ruixue really couldn’t help her with much. Perhaps if she were just a kitten, she could help, but right now she was a drunk human. She really couldn’t.
Since they’d come back from the bar, both were smelling of alcohol. After wrestling with Si Xia for a while, Ming Ruixue was drenched in sweat. Si Xia’s sobbing gradually subsided; she would likely fall asleep once she cried herself out.
Ming Ruixue adjusted her sleeping position before taking clothes to go shower. She had wanted to talk properly with Si Xia, but things had turned out like this. She thought of Si Xia’s cat ears, so pink and tender; it felt like her whole body was pink and tender, even there—
“Hiss…” Ming Ruixue quickly splashed cold water on her face. What am I thinking about?
The icy water hit her face, and she finally sobered up a bit. Wiping away the water, she looked up and saw the bathroom door open. Si Xia was standing barefoot at the door, smiling innocently. “Sister, I want to wash too.”
She walked in as she spoke. Si Xia’s skirt fell to the floor, her feet stepping on the wet tiles as she moved toward her. Ming Ruixue didn’t have the habit of locking the door when showering at home. She was going crazy; she covered Si Xia’s eyes. “Go out first, okay? I’ll let you wash in a bit.”
Ming Ruixue grabbed a bath towel from the rack. Si Xia pushed her hand away. “No, I want to wash now.”
There was no reasoning with a drunkard. Ming Ruixue wrapped herself up first, went out to get a new pair of pajamas and new underwear for Si Xia, and placed them on the rack.
Ming Ruixue adjusted the water temperature. “Can you wash yourself?”
The bathroom light was soft. Si Xia blinked, her face flushed and her lips redder than usual. “I don’t know how…”
Drunk to the point where she couldn’t even shower; even if she wanted to do it herself, Ming Ruixue wouldn’t feel safe. “Fine. I’ll fill the bathtub for you, is it okay if you just soak yourself?”
Before the hot water was even filled, in the blink of an eye, Si Xia had already stepped in and sat down, washing herself obediently.
“Si Xia, you haven’t taken your clothes off.”
Ming Ruixue’s brain was scrambled with panic. After she said it, Si Xia started tugging at her clothes.
“No, I mean wait until the water is full and then take them off.”
Ming Ruixue stopped her, carried her out, and while the water was filling, Si Xia knelt beside the tub waiting, occasionally using her chin to nuzzle Ming’s arm.
Her body was hot; the heat hadn’t subsided but seemed to be getting worse. But besides using her cat ears, cheeks, and chin to nuzzle her, Si Xia didn’t say anything else. She was very well-behaved.
Ming Ruixue suddenly felt a twinge of guilt. Was the girl disappointed? Did she feel that Ming definitely wouldn’t help her, so she stopped asking, stopped acting spoiled, and was just enduring it silently?
The water in the tub overflowed before Ming Ruixue snapped back to reality. She turned off the tap and tossed in two bath bombs. Soon, the tub was filled with white bubbles.
“Take your clothes off yourself and sit in. Can you do that?”
Ming Ruixue waited until she was sure Si Xia could manage before turning her back. It wasn’t until the bubble water splashed out that Ming Ruixue looked back. The bubbles covered everything below her shoulders, at the “safety line.”
Ming Ruixue dried her hair nearby while keeping an eye on Si Xia. Ten minutes later, Ming Ruixue saw Si Xia playing with the bubbles inside.
“…”
“Si Xia, are you done?” Ming Ruixue knocked on the bathroom door. “When you’re done, rinse yourself off and come sleep.”
Si Xia didn’t listen at all, lying half-submerged in the tub, her head groggy. You shouldn’t soak in a bath after drinking. Ming Ruixue came over to remind her, and seeing Si Xia looking unwell, she stepped over to wrap her in a towel and pull her out.
Before she could touch the towel, Si Xia grabbed her wrist and gave a downward tug. Ming Ruixue leaned down, their noses touching. At such a close distance, they almost kissed.
“Si Xia, be good, okay?” Ming Ruixue reached out to grab the towel to wrap her body, then used warm water to rinse the bubbles off her. During the process, Si Xia was too dizzy to stand steadily. Ming Ruixue kept her gaze level, not looking down.
Once rinsed, she wrapped her in a dry towel to wipe away the water. The bath was over. Ming Ruixue handed the clean clothes to Si Xia. “You can manage to get dressed, right?”
That questioning tone made Si Xia very unhappy. As a smart cat, how could she not know how to dress herself? Si Xia sat on the stool and started dressing.
Ming Ruixue went out and collapsed on the sofa, exhausted. Giving someone else a bath was more tiring than washing herself. The sofa was soft; Ming Ruixue lay down and closed her eyes, falling asleep within moments.
She hadn’t been asleep for long when she heard the clinking and clattering of someone rummaging through the kitchen, followed by the “da-da-da” sound of running footsteps.
Ming Ruixue forced her eyelids open. Si Xia’s pale, slender legs appeared in her vision. Still groggy, she remembered giving Si Xia long-sleeved, long-pants pajamas.
Ming Ruixue instinctively covered her eyes. “Si Xia, put on the long pants too.”
There was no response, but someone seemed to be climbing onto the sofa. She had a bad feeling. Ming Ruixue was lying down; as she propped herself up to sit, Si Xia suddenly sat on her neck, pressing her down and trying to nuzzle upward.
A smooth, unobstructed sensation.
Ming Ruixue felt something was terrible. Not only was she not wearing long pants…
“Si Xia, you…”
Si Xia shifted toward her chin and continued upward, taking out the plastic wrap she had just found in the kitchen. A perfectly logical sequence of actions.
Ming Ruixue’s mouth was sealed shut, she couldn’t speak, and her mind completely collapsed.
