After the Scum Alpha Picked Up Her Rival Omega - Chapter 9
The Omega’s body was as weak and fluid as water, nearly collapsing.
Ming Ruixue reached out to catch her by the waist. Their bodies pressed together without a gap, heat transferring scorchingly between them.
Things were spiraling out of control.
Si Xia was wearing a cropped hoodie, revealing a section of her slender waist. Ming Ruixue pressed her palm against the Omega’s lower back, her gaze fixed and intense. “How do you want Sister to help you?”
That question cleared Si Xia’s head slightly, but it felt like her brain was about to explode.
What had she just said? She actually asked her rival to help her through her heat.
How could she!
Si Xia’s body temperature continued to climb. She wanted to take a half-step back to get away from the Alpha, but the moment she moved, she began to slide downward.
Her body was too weak.
Ming Ruixue tightened her half-embrace, holding her closer.
The Omega had a tiny waist, and her skin was as smooth as milk.
Ming Ruixue held her honestly, not crossing the line.
Si Xia panted weakly, lacking the strength to support herself. She could only surrender her entire weight to Ming Ruixue.
Ming Ruixue pulled back Si Xia’s hoodie, revealing the Omega’s flushed scent gland. Her lips brushed past Si Xia’s ear. “If you need it, I can give you a temporary mark.”
When the Alpha spoke, her voice was extremely restrained.
Restrained against the woody-milk pheromones.
Restrained against the restlessness within her own body.
Si Xia’s body temperature surged again, all her senses converging toward the back of her neck. She gritted her teeth, suppressing every sound.
She couldn’t lose face in front of her rival. She couldn’t!
The Omega caught in the heatwave was as stubborn as ever. Since Si Xia hadn’t agreed, Ming Ruixue wouldn’t ask again; she could only pin her hopes on the rescue crew outside.
Ming Ruixue tried her best to pull in her pheromones. A faint, thin gasp escaped her—she realized her own Alpha rut had arrived.
What terrible timing. She still had work to do later.
In her groggy state, she felt her shoulder being gripped. Ming Ruixue opened her eyes to see Si Xia’s face inches away. The Omega leaned in uncontrollably, her small nose nuzzling against Ming Ruixue’s neck.
“So fragrant…” Si Xia closed her eyes and pressed her lips against the skin. Her lips parted slightly, the tip of her tongue darting out. She suddenly sucked, making a soft, wet sound.
“Si Xia, wait a second.” Ming Ruixue’s body went rigid. A wave of heat hit her neck, but it was too late to stop her.
The two sets of pheromones intertwined. Si Xia was almost completely melted by the high fever, her consciousness gone.
Ming Ruixue’s thumb lightly grazed the skin of her neck, her expression extremely complex. “Si Xia, what are you doing?”
No matter what Ming Ruixue said, Si Xia had fallen into a coma following the peak of the heat; she wouldn’t answer a word.
Perhaps when she woke up, she would even forget what she had done.
Ming Ruixue felt like she had been “entraped.” Not just felt like it—she definitely had been.
Ming Ruixue wrapped an arm around her waist, her voice dropping low. “You bit me. I’ll be taking that back later.”
At that moment, the elevator opened.
A flood of light poured in, gradually illuminating their vision.
Ming Ruixue immediately pulled up Si Xia’s hoodie to hide the Omega’s face in her embrace.
However, the few people outside the elevator froze at the sight.
Why were the two rivals hugging?! They looked so intimate.
Ming Ruixue supported Si Xia, frowning at Peng Jia. “Come help.”
“Oh, okay.” Peng Jia hurried to take Si Xia, but before she could get a steady grip, Peng Qi snatched her away first. “I’ve got her.”
Ming Ruixue leaned weakly against the wall, her eyes on Peng Qi. “Si Xia is in heat. Give her a suppressant quickly.”
Peng Qi held Si Xia, but before she could speak, Si Xia’s manager, Zhan Qiangwei, called.
“Where are you? The other guests have signed their contracts. Why isn’t Si Xia here yet?”
“Sister Qiangwei, Xiaxia is in heat.”
“Got it. I’m coming now.”
Zhan Qiangwei hung up and appeared downstairs within a minute.
Wearing gold-rimmed glasses, Zhan Qiangwei cast a lingering glance at Ming Ruixue as she passed, her gaze gradually tightening.
Afterward, the two took Si Xia to the hospital.
Peng Jia followed Zhan Qiangwei’s gaze and saw a bright red mark on Ming Ruixue’s pale neck. It was so vivid it was impossible to ignore.
It was clearly a hickey.
Combined with their disheveled clothes and the sweat-soaked fabric…
Peng Jia’s eyes widened, and she stammered, “Ruixue, you two didn’t… do it in the elevator, did you?”
Ming Ruixue truly admired Peng Jia’s imagination. “What are you thinking?”
Is this the only impression the original owner left behind?
The thought flashed by. Peng Jia said with relief, “I was just afraid you’d let lust cloud your judgment.”
Ming Ruixue recalled the sensation of Si Xia’s soft lips against her neck and the sweet milky scent being injected.
It was indeed a bit of lust-clouded judgment. She couldn’t keep thinking about it.
Ming Ruixue held out her hand. “Peng Jia, give me your Alpha suppressant.”
Peng Jia handed it over with an indescribable expression. “And you say lust hasn’t clouded your judgment? You even need a suppressant just from being around Si Xia.”
Before, she never used them when she was with other Omegas. Because Ming Ruixue never reacted to any Omega, Peng Jia had even begun to suspect she was a “fake” Alpha.
In the restroom, the suppressant was injected into her vein. Ming Ruixue’s groggy head cleared up. When she came out, she found Peng Jia waiting at the door with her arms crossed.
“Ruixue, your reaction today wasn’t normal.”
“?” Ming Ruixue didn’t understand. “How was I not normal?”
Peng Jia narrowed her eyes. “Today is your first actual Alpha rut. Why don’t you look more excited?”
Ming Ruixue felt like she’d been struck by lightning. The original owner was so arrogant, yet she had been a “fake” Alpha who had never even experienced a rut. So all that effort she put into flirting with girls was just to stimulate the Alpha pheromones in her body.
How pitiful…
Ming Ruixue realized this and gave a short laugh. “Oh, I’m quite excited.”
Peng Jia: “…” I don’t see it.
Fearing Peng Jia would find a flaw if they kept talking, Ming Ruixue asked casually, “The variety show contract hasn’t been signed yet. Is there still time?”
Peng Jia checked her phone. “I just got word. Director Ye has gone to the hospital to visit Si Xia. Since the elevator accident happened in the Film City, she feels guilty. We’ll talk about the contract later.”
Ming Ruixue hummed. “Which hospital?”
“Southern City First People’s Hospital.”
“Then let’s go take a look too.”
“Are you hurt?” Before Peng Jia could finish, Ming Ruixue was already in the car. “I’m not hurt. I’m going to see Si Xia.”
Peng Jia: “Is your relationship that good?”
Ming Ruixue’s lips curved slightly. “I’m going to remind her not to forget a certain something.”
It was two hours later when they reached the hospital parking lot, just as Director Ye was driving away.
Peng Jia was reluctant to go upstairs, so Ming Ruixue went alone.
Just as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Si Xia standing by the window in the hospital corridor, wearing hospital pjs. A light breeze tousled the stray hairs near her ears.
She looked like she was in good spirits.
Ming Ruixue walked over and offered a warm reminder, “The wind is strong here. Careful not to catch a cold.”
The moment the words left her mouth, Ming Ruixue saw exactly what she expected: a cat about to bristle.
The moment Si Xia turned around and saw her, she opened her round eyes in surprise. Her instinctive reaction was to flee.
Ming Ruixue blocked her path first, pinning her in a corner. The red mark on the side of her neck was clearly visible.
“You kissed me, and now you want to run?”
