Chapter 31

The hand Ming Ruixue was holding trembled slightly. She instinctively glanced at the camera in Si Xia’s room; fortunately, it was still covered, so the audience couldn’t see the scene—they could only hear it.

But Si Xia’s words just now were incredibly shocking. Her mic wasn’t off yet, and Ming Ruixue could already imagine the screen flooding with question marks.

Ming Ruixue squatted down, tilting her head slightly toward her. “Si Xia, this level of fanservice is a bit much. How can you say something like ‘sleeping together’?”

“Sister, are you unwilling?”

Si Xia let her hand drop dejectedly, her eyes looking deeply hurt. She had said all that, yet Ming Ruixue thought she was just “working.” Her desire to work was nowhere near as strong as her desire to “huff” catnip.

Ming Ruixue had a rough idea of why Si Xia made this request. According to her guess, given her constitution as a catnip spirit, she was naturally a magnet for little kittens. That was likely why Si Xia had been acting so unusually.

Like how she kept trying to stick close to her in the pool earlier.

Ming Ruixue felt a bit awkward. “But we aren’t in a relationship. Sleeping together would create a bad impression.”

Her previous talk about sleeping together had been entirely in a joking tone; she didn’t expect Si Xia to take it more seriously than she did. First, they weren’t a couple; second, they weren’t currently performing a specific task for the show.

Sleeping together was inappropriate.

Si Xia had never considered any of that. She simply thought Ming Ruixue smelled wonderful, so she made this unreasonable demand.

“If we have to be in an intimate relationship to sleep together, then…” Si Xia said innocently, “Then Sister, there is another kind of relationship that works.”

Ming Ruixue had a bad premonition. “What?”

“Um…” Si Xia whispered, “It’s where I provide the money, and you provide the person.”

?!

Ming Ruixue’s gaze flickered. She quickly reached out and turned off both of their microphones. “So you’re trying to… solicit me?”

Si Xia grinned. Ming Ruixue knew she had guessed right. As a dignified Alpha, the thought of being “solicited” by an Omega was enough to make her a laughingstock if word ever got out.

Ming Ruixue’s face darkened. Si Xia quickly tried to smooth things over. “I was just joking! I didn’t really mean that. Besides, Sister, you’re noble and rich; how could I ever afford someone like you?”

Ming Ruixue’s expression seemed to get even worse upon hearing that. “Forget it.”

“Hey—” Si Xia jumped off the bed and blocked Ming Ruixue’s path. “Then Sister, let me be your girlfriend.”

Si Xia’s logic was not something Ming Ruixue could keep up with. Ming Ruixue looked at her in disbelief, feeling like her life’s principles were collapsing. “You want to be my girlfriend… just so you can sleep with me?”

Si Xia thought about it carefully. She couldn’t find a reason to argue; it seemed that was exactly what she meant.

Si Xia felt her understanding was correct. “Sister, didn’t you say only couples can sleep together? Since I want to sleep with you, wouldn’t becoming a couple solve everything?”

To be able to sleep next to catnip, Si Xia didn’t mind having an extra girlfriend.

Ming Ruixue was stunned multiple times in a row. It was the first time someone wanted to be her girlfriend just to sleep with her, rather than because they liked her.

How was this relationship any different from a business transaction?

As an upright Alpha, Ming Ruixue absolutely could not allow such an improper relationship to exist.

“No.” After saying that, Ming Ruixue didn’t linger and headed straight back to her own cabin.

But before Ming Ruixue could even close her door, a staff member accompanied by a cameraman knocked on both her and Si Xia’s doors at the same time.

The staff member handed over a “Failure Punishment” card and vanished.

Since they hadn’t participated in the group swimming competition, Ming Ruixue and Si Xia were naturally in last place. They had to complete the punishment task together.

Ming Ruixue opened the card:

[Sauna Massage Punishment: It is said that a sauna massage is a great way to increase CP intimacy. Please go to the sauna on the 13th floor and give your partner a “painful” massage punishment.]

With the other half… together.

Ming Ruixue slowly looked up, her eyelids heavy. Si Xia looked back at her, her eyes curving with a smile. “Sister, I guess my ‘other half’ must be you.”

“…”

The string of tension in Ming Ruixue’s mind snapped completely. She used to be able to play along with Si Xia in front of the camera when it was clearly fake, but now, facing someone who actually wanted to “sleep” with her, she couldn’t stay calm.

A sauna massage punishment sounded like it would take quite a while. Ming Ruixue rubbed her aching neck. A massage was just a massage; it wasn’t like she was the only one losing out.

“Let’s go.” Ming Ruixue looked at Si Xia with a look of feigned composure. “I happen to be very tired. Make sure you massage me well.”

Si Xia came out of her room clutching a water bottle. “I’m best at massages, Sister.”

She was the best at “kneading dough” (cat-kneading).

Ming Ruixue frowned as she looked back at the excited Si Xia. This didn’t seem like a punishment to her at all.

The temperature in the 13th-floor sauna was scorching. The two of them felt a sweat coming on the moment they entered.

However, this heat was only external for Si Xia; it wouldn’t immediately trigger her Omega heat. Moreover, with the scent of catnip nearby, she wouldn’t easily revert to a cat.

The sauna was empty, save for the mission tutorial video playing on the wall.

[After entering the sauna, both guests need to stay until their entire bodies are drenched in sweat before the massage punishment can begin. If there is any discomfort, please stop immediately.]

It was indeed a time-consuming task.

Because the sauna session was long, Director Ye only opened a small video window for them and told them to increase their CP interaction so the process wouldn’t be boring.

Ming Ruixue didn’t care about any of that. She picked out a set of clothes and handed them to Si Xia. “Change your clothes first.”

They were short-sleeved, loose, traditional sauna clothes.

The two changed quickly. When Si Xia came out, she suggested playing a game.

Ming Ruixue agreed. “What game?”

Si Xia looked at her poised and ready. The moment their eyes met, Ming Ruixue knew it wasn’t going to be a “good” game.

“Sister, let’s see who can stay in the sauna longer. The first one to leave loses.” Before Si Xia could finish, she added, “The loser has to fulfill one request from the winner. Is that okay?”

“Are you sure? Didn’t you just choke on water? Staying in the sauna for a long time might be a problem.”

Ming Ruixue actually didn’t approve of this competition. A sauna is meant for physical comfort; there’s no logic in competing over duration.

Si Xia naturally had her own plans. “I’ll be fine. So, is that a ‘yes,’ Sister?”

Since Si Xia insisted, Ming Ruixue had no reason to refuse.

The sauna door opened, and a wave of hot steam hit them. The red lighting in the room made it feel even hotter. Ming Ruixue stepped onto the hot floor, found a corner, and sat down to close her eyes and rest.

Si Xia followed her, watching Ming Ruixue sitting calmly with her legs crossed. She thought it was boring; how long was this going to take?

“Sister, talk to me for a bit.” Si Xia moved over to sit beside Ming Ruixue, poking her with a finger. “Sister?”

Ming Ruixue opened her eyes. Si Xia’s face was right in front of her, staring intently.

“…” Ming Ruixue’s calm heart felt a ripple. Her body temperature rose significantly. “You’re breaking the rules like this.”

At such a close distance, their breaths intertwined.

Si Xia’s nostrils flared slightly as she caught the scent of catnip on Ming Ruixue. She didn’t believe Ming Ruixue was so upright that she wouldn’t feel anything or want to escape sooner.

Sure enough, Ming Ruixue tilted her head up to avoid eye contact with Si Xia. But this caused Si Xia’s warm breath to fall directly on the side of her neck, creating a tingly, itchy sensation.

So, this was Si Xia’s tactic: she wanted to force her out of the sauna first.

Fine. Ming Ruixue lowered her gaze; she would play along.

Ming Ruixue met her gaze deeply, as if looking right through her. “Si Xia, I won’t lose to you.”

It only took Si Xia half a second to realize Ming Ruixue was taking the bait.

“Is that so, Sister?” Si Xia calmly took Ming Ruixue’s hand, slowly interlacing her fingers with Ming’s until they were in a ten-finger lock.

In the already hot room, the temperature of their bodies surged. Ming Ruixue’s dark pupils flickered, and her palms began to sweat.

Compared to Si Xia’s unabashed behavior, Ming Ruixue was clearly flustered. Her skin took on a pinkish hue; being naturally pale, the flush made her look even more alluring.

Si Xia stared at her aggressively, using her other free hand to touch the back of it to Ming Ruixue’s cheek. She said with a smile, “Sister, your face is so hot. Are you about to give up?”

“Put… put your hand away.”

Ming Ruixue was enduring both the external high temperature and an internal physiological restlessness; it was truly difficult.

Si Xia obediently took the hand away from her cheek.

Ming Ruixue slightly parted her fingers. “I meant the one on my hand.”

“Sister, why are you being so shy?” A smile involuntarily spread across Si Xia’s lips. “It’s just holding hands.”

“…”

Ming Ruixue stopped talking.

Si Xia let go of her hand, rubbing her wrist as she asked suggestively, “Haven’t you done more intimate things with other Omegas?”

Ming Ruixue’s expression remained unchanged. “No.”

A very direct, very rapid “no.”

Si Xia was surprised for a moment, then quickly corrected her. “That’s not right. There was at least one time.”

Ming Ruixue glanced at her and asked back with a smile, “Tell me, which time?”

Si Xia shook her head and didn’t say. That one time was when she had turned into a human at Ming Ruixue’s house, and Ming Ruixue had touched her from head to toe. But Si Xia had no way to argue the point; it was a total loss.

So she had to win it back—or at least take some advantage first.

Ming Ruixue noticed that when Si Xia paused, her ivory neck turned red, and the flush spread to her face. What is she remembering?

Ming Ruixue nudged Si Xia’s knee with her own. “Tell me. How would you know how many times I’ve had?”

Both were wearing shorts, and where their legs touched, the atmosphere instantly became ambiguous.

“I… I don’t know. I was guessing.” Si Xia shifted her leg away. She knew she shouldn’t have brought up this topic.

Ming Ruixue believed her but explained anyway for the sake of her own reputation. “I haven’t had intimate behavior with other Omegas.”

Not with other Omegas, but she had had many intimate moments with Si Xia.

Si Xia awkwardly looked away. “Sister, why are you explaining this to me?”

Ming Ruixue: “Nothing. Just a clarification for your ‘at least one time.’ Not even once.” She emphasized it heavily: Not even once.

Si Xia kicked Ming Ruixue with her foot. “What? You clearly just don’t want to admit it.”

“Hiss.” Ming Ruixue was startled by the kick and grabbed Si Xia’s restless ankle. “What am I supposed to admit? Just say it clearly.”

Si Xia’s face turned beet red. The feeling of having been taken advantage of but being unable to say it out loud was miserable. Even if she wanted Ming Ruixue to take responsibility, she couldn’t find the words.

Phew—

Seeing she wouldn’t talk, Ming Ruixue squeezed her ankle and pulled her closer. “Are you going to say it or not?”

Si Xia was sitting beside Ming Ruixue, but with this tug, she was pulled into a face-to-face position. Si Xia’s calves were draped over Ming Ruixue’s legs, her legs parted in a very suggestive posture.

Ming Ruixue swallowed, and her palm suddenly tightened around Si Xia’s ankle.

“It hurts.” Si Xia shook her leg, her knee-pit brushing against Ming Ruixue’s knee. Both of them froze again.

The temperature in the sauna was getting higher and higher, and they were drenched in sweat, making every touch feel sticky and intense.

Ming Ruixue immediately let go. Si Xia curled her leg back; the skin on her ankle was flushed red, looking very delicate. Ming Ruixue withdrew her gaze. “Sorry, I didn’t pay attention to the strength.”

Si Xia cupped her ankle, resting her chin on her knee, and looked over sideways. “Sister, if you’re really sorry, then just lose to me.”

Ming Ruixue couldn’t help but laugh. “I won’t admit defeat.”

“Then Sister, I’m going to make you hurt once too.” Si Xia mischievously grabbed Ming Ruixue’s slender ankle and pulled it forcefully toward her, using almost all her strength without thinking.

Ming Ruixue seemed to sense it coming. The moment Si Xia grabbed her ankle, she pulled her leg back—but she ended up pulling Si Xia back with her.

Si Xia was light. She was pulled upward and lunged toward Ming Ruixue. In a flash, Ming Ruixue was pinned beneath Si Xia—pinned firmly.

The stray hairs around Ming Ruixue’s ears were already soaked with sweat, which dripped down her cheek. She let out a muffled groan and opened her eyes, staring down at Si Xia, who was pressing against her.

Si Xia’s hands were on the floor, but their soft bodies inevitably pressed together. Her pupils were deep, and after steadying herself, she said with some excitement, “Sister, you’ve been pressed out of shape by me.”

Ming Ruixue: “!!!”

“Si Xia! Watch your wording.” Ming Ruixue’s face turned completely red.

Under the pressure of the hot air and the Omega’s body heat, Ming Ruixue felt like she couldn’t breathe. In those few seconds, her “shape” had been shifted several times; it was like Si Xia was kneading her like dough.

Ming Ruixue couldn’t take it anymore, her [unauthorized copy]lips pressing into a thin line. “Get up…”

“I won’t.” Si Xia pressed her hands by Ming Ruixue’s ears, her gaze looking down gloomily. “Sister, I’ll only get up if you admit defeat.”

Where did this Omega learn to be such a rogue?

“Are you sure you aren’t getting up?” Ming Ruixue asked patiently one more time.

Before the “no” could leave Si Xia’s mouth, Ming Ruixue used her core strength, gripped Si Xia’s waist, and flipped them over. Si Xia spun through the air; when her vision stabilized, she was the one on the bottom.

Si Xia: “!!!”

How had she forgotten the disparity in strength between her and an Alpha?

Ming Ruixue loomed over her, using one hand to pinch her small chin. “Still stubborn? Still won’t get up?”

“…” Si Xia parted her mouth slightly, trying to dodge the hand. Her body shifted upward quietly, and her gaze drifted down.

The sauna outfits were loose. As Ming Ruixue leaned over, the loose fabric hung down, and the neckline was quite large. From Si Xia’s perspective, she could see exactly what lay beneath the collar.

Large, soft. And white.

Si Xia’s eyes went wide, and she took a blatant look. Ming Ruixue realized something was wrong, released the tender skin of Si Xia’s chin, and followed her gaze downward.

Ming Ruixue froze completely, her ears turning red. “…”

Today, she had not only been “trampled” by an Omega but also seen through.

Ming Ruixue was so ashamed she wanted to get up, but Si Xia grabbed her collar and pulled her down into another close embrace.

Only this time, she was the one on top.

Ming Ruixue turned her face away, her lips brushing past Si Xia’s ear, but Si Xia’s lips stayed right against her ear as she whispered a few provocative words, word by word.

Ming Ruixue’s face flushed red once more. She couldn’t stay in this sauna for another second.
