After the Scumbag Alpha Tries to Save the Love-Struck and Flips Over (Quick Transmigration GL) - Chapter 29
Shen Su held a bouquet of red roses, looking at her with eyes full of smiles: “Welcome home—”
Candles flickered on the table, their warm glow making the atmosphere feel even more intimate and beautiful.
Lu Yan took the red roses carefully and sniffed them gently: “Thank you, Sister.”
“Try the dinner first.” Shen Su pointed to the food she had painstakingly prepared on the table.
“Okay.” Lu Yan sat opposite Shen Su. As she picked up her knife and fork to cut the steak on her plate, she asked tentatively, “Sister, are you really going for two years?”
Shen Su’s hand paused. “If I can finish my credits early, I’ll come back sooner.”
“I believe Sister is so capable that you can definitely do it!” Lu Yan looked up, her eyes filled with smiles and trust.
“I’ll try my best.” Shen Su’s eyes flickered slightly. She lowered her lashes and took a small bite of steak.
“Sister, cheers.” Lu Yan raised her wine glass filled with red wine and lightly tapped it against Shen Su’s glass. “You mentioned before that you wanted to practice your alcohol tolerance with me. Shall we drink until we’re tipsy tonight?”
Shen Su let out a smile: “Sure. Just remember how much you drink; just don’t exceed this amount when you go out for business social events in the future.”
“Sister, don’t you worry!” Lu Yan took a sip of red wine, then stood up, glass in hand. She walked slowly to Shen Su and sat sideways on her lap. “Have you forgotten? I have Single Pheromone Dependency Syndrome. I have no interest in any Alpha other than you.”
Hearing Lu Yan speak so frankly about her condition, Shen Su’s heart sank, but she didn’t show it on her face. She simply tapped her glass against Lu Yan’s again: “Of course I trust you.”
Under the warm candlelight, the two gazed at each other, slowly drinking the wine in their glasses before their lips met. They exchanged the taste of wine and breath between their lips and teeth.
While kissing Shen Su, Lu Yan reached out to hook her arm around Shen Su’s neck, sliding it down slowly until her fingertips were circling Shen Su’s scent gland.
The two pulled apart, both slightly breathless.
“Is it fun?” Shen Su raised an eyebrow, glancing at Lu Yan’s restless hand.
“How could it not be?” Lu Yan licked Shen Su’s earlobe, then followed the curve of her neck downward, finally leaving a small “strawberry” (hickey) on her collarbone. “Sister, I wish so much that you could stay by my side, but I can’t seem to keep you. I can only leave a mark on you so that not so many people will covet you.”
Shen Su tilted her head back slightly, one hand holding the hand Lu Yan used to hold the wine glass: “And what kind of mark do you want to leave?”
“During your rut, you allowed me to bite your gland…” Lu Yan’s voice trailed off, her lips pursing slightly.
Shen Su understood her meaning instantly and gave a nonchalant chuckle: “Want to bite it again?”
Lu Yan nodded with an “mm”: “I want those people to know you are mine.”
Lu Yan opened her mouth slightly, revealing her cute little canine teeth. They looked adorable, but being bitten by them still stung a bit.
She ground her teeth against the collarbone first, then asked once more: “Can I?”
“You can. But are you sure you want to do it here?” Shen Su glanced at Mu Mu, the tabby cat lying on the sofa.
Lu Yan gave a soft huff: “He doesn’t understand. It’s fine. Right here—we haven’t done it outside the bedroom yet!”
Shen Su leaned down slightly, brushing aside her curls to expose the scent gland at the back of her neck: “Go ahead.”
Lu Yan didn’t hold back, taking several bites. However, being an Omega, she couldn’t actually mark someone, and she couldn’t bear to actually make Shen Su bleed. She only left a few tooth marks of varying depth.
To Shen Su, it felt like nothing more than a light scratch.
From the living room to the bedroom, items were scattered all over the floor. Mu Mu followed the trail to the bedroom door, only to be shut out once again.
The next day, Lu Yan dropped Shen Su off at the airport. Only after confirming the plane had taken off did she get into her driver’s car to head to the company.
As soon as Shen Su got off the plane, she called Lu Yan immediately: “Hello, Yan Yan, I’ve landed.”
Lu Yan locked her office door, her voice soft and sweet: “Sister, you finally called me. I miss you so much!”
“Yan Yan, it’s only been an hour!” Shen Su pulled her suitcase and hailed a taxi.
“I miss you even if it’s been a minute.” Lu Yan pouted. “Sister, have you reached your place yet?”
“Almost. I just got in the taxi.” After reporting in, Shen Su gave the address to the driver.
Lu Yan hummed. “Remember to tell me when you arrive. We’re so far apart now; I want to know what you’re doing, so it feels like you’re still by my side.”
“Okay.” Shen Su laughed softly.
Lu Yan opened her phone, changed her weather app location to Shen Su’s city, and asked, “Sister, is it hot where you are?”
“It’s quite cool.” Shen Su looked out the window at the scenery rushing past.
Perhaps because it was only 6:00 AM in Germany, there was a six-hour time difference. It was already noon where Lu Yan was.
Although the air conditioning was on in Lu Yan’s office, she felt a restless heat. She walked under the central AC vent to let the air blow directly on her, but her heart wouldn’t settle. “Sister, how about I visit you this weekend?”
“Don’t…” Shen Su refused instinctively, then quickly covered: “You have to handle company affairs and keep up with your studies. Flying back and forth between two countries is too exhausting for you. I’ll come see you this weekend.”
“Yay!” Lu Yan just wanted to see Shen Su; she didn’t care who visited whom. Of course, she was happier that Shen Su was taking the initiative to come to her.
When Shen Su arrived at her residence, Butler Song was already waiting at the door.
“Miss, please come in. Everything has been prepared.”
This was the Shen family’s villa in Germany. Ms. Wen and Mr. Shen would stay here when they came to visit.
“I’ll unpack first and call you back in a bit.”
“Fine, I’ll wait for you.”
Shen Su was fairly familiar with the villa. After hanging up, she finished unpacking quickly and then called Li Wei.
“Hello?” Li Wei’s voice sounded tired. “Shen Su? You’re already in Germany?”
“Yes.” Shen Su hesitated, then asked, “There’s something I want to ask of you…”
“Hmm? What is it that even you can’t do?” Li Wei raised an eyebrow, curious.
“Can you look after Lu Yan while I’m away?” Shen Su asked.
Li Wei laughed: “I thought it was something major! Just that?”
Shen Su said, “I’m counting on you. I’ll treat you to dinner when I come back this weekend.”
“This weekend?” Li Wei was surprised. “Didn’t you just get to Germany?”
Shen Su said helplessly, “You know how clingy my Omega is.”
“Speaking of which, I am an Alpha. Aren’t you afraid of some melodramatic plot twist?” Li Wei joked. “I just went through a breakup; I’m in my ‘vulnerable, lonely, and cold’ phase.”
“Wait, breakup? When did that happen?” Shen Su asked, though she wasn’t surprised at all.
“Yesterday.” Li Wei sighed. “She initiated it. I actually got dumped…”
“My condolences. No, wait—the next one will be better.” Shen Su spoke with a serious face but was secretly surprised. She hadn’t expected Li Wei to be the one dumped this time; that was rare!
“Forget that. Do you really trust me that much? Has my Alpha charm vanished?” Li Wei frowned and looked at her hand.
“Because…” Shen Su paused, then said slowly, “Lu Yan has Single Pheromone Dependency Syndrome.”
“I see.” Li Wei nodded thoughtfully. “Speaking of dependency, my sister is going to Germany next month for surgery. She said she doesn’t want her scent gland anymore.”
“But didn’t you already get Liang Qiao’s gland?” Shen Su’s eyes flashed with surprise.
“My sister refuses to use it. She insists on having her gland removed. No matter how we try to persuade her, she won’t listen…” Li Wei rubbed her temples. “If she had said earlier she didn’t want Liang Qiao’s gland, I wouldn’t have gone through all that trouble. Whatever, let her be.”
“Your sister is an adult after all; you don’t need to worry so much,” Shen Su comforted her. “If you need any help, just come to me.”
“Sure. We’ve been friends for so many years; I won’t be polite. Relax, I’ll keep an eye on Lu Yan for you.”
“See you next weekend then.”
“You bet!”
After Shen Su hung up, she saw several messages from Lu Yan. “Sister, who were you on the phone with?” “Why haven’t you replied yet?” “Didn’t you say you’d call me once you finished unpacking?”
Shen Su called back immediately. After a short wait, Lu Yan answered.
“Yan Yan, I’m sorry. Li Wei called me just now, so I took that first.” Shen Su threw the blame directly on Li Wei.
Lu Yan hummed. “What did you talk about?”
Shen Su paused, then said, “Just some trivial matters.”
“Like what?” Lu Yan laid on her desk, dissatisfied. She felt Shen Su was being evasive.
Shen Su had no choice but to shift the focus to Li Wei: “Actually, Li Wei was dumped by an Omega. She’s heartbroken, so she called to vent.”
“I see.” Lu Yan nodded. Her brain had already filled in the gaps for Shen Su—being dumped isn’t a proud thing for an Alpha, so Li Wei definitely didn’t want others to know and told Shen Su to keep it secret. But Shen Su couldn’t resist her questioning and told her the truth.
Wasn’t this a form of trust?
Thinking of this, Lu Yan smiled again: “Don’t worry, Sister, I won’t tell a soul!”
Shen Su gave a confused “mm.” “Have you had lunch?”
“I ate at the company canteen.” However, she had only taken two bites; her appetite had been spoiled by Shen Su’s cooking.
Shen Su raised an eyebrow: “Remember to eat well while I’m away. If anything happens, you can ask Li Wei for help.”
“Sister, I only want your help.” Lu Yan pouted. She was a bit annoyed; in this short call, Shen Su had already mentioned Li Wei three times. Luckily, Li Wei was just an Alpha friend.
“If I can help, I will, but I’m abroad right now; I might be out of reach.” Shen Su felt helpless, but she knew Lu Yan didn’t like the topic of separation, so she quickly changed the subject: “I’ll be back next weekend. Wait for me at home, okay?”
“Okay.”
After two days of jet lag, Shen Su adapted to life there. For the next few days, she called Lu Yan at 7:00 AM, 3:00 PM, or 6:00 PM every day. Additionally, she shared her experiences in Germany, such as interesting things that happened that day. Lu Yan also shared her life and some work difficulties.
Finally, the weekend arrived. Shen Su took a private plane back to the country and rushed home without stopping. When she arrived at the door, it was already 8:00 PM local time. As soon as she entered the password, the door opened from the inside.
“Sister, I missed you. You’re finally back…” Lu Yan threw herself at Shen Su, holding her in a tight embrace, her voice trembling with excitement.
Shen Su hummed. Looking down, she saw a tear in the corner of Lu Yan’s eye and wiped it away: “Why are you crying?”
“I’m just so excited.” Lu Yan laughed through her tears, let go of Shen Su, and took her hand. “Sister, come in quickly. I prepared a surprise for you. Close your eyes.”
“Alright.” Shen Su raised an eyebrow, then closed her eyes and let Lu Yan lead her. She heard a click—the sound of a light being turned off—but she didn’t open her eyes immediately.
Not until Lu Yan said: “Sister, open your eyes!”
