After the Fake Young Master Ran Away with His Child, the Villain Went Crazy - Chapter 7
Jing Ruan looked back at Tao Wan and Yan Jin, then tilted his head to look at Yan Yi He and asked why he had come here.
“I happened to be handling something nearby. I heard you were here buying things, so I came to see what was going on.”
Before he came, someone had already reported to him what Jing Ruan had bought. They were all things that were not worth much. Jing Ruan had never seen truly good things before, so in his eyes, these were already good things.
Jing Ruan had bought a lot of things. The feeling of spending money without restriction was truly wonderful. Just thinking about it made him excited. Happily, he told Yan Yi He what he had bought.
Yan Yi He listened seriously, then asked Jing Ruan whether he wanted to go look at something even more valuable. Jing Ruan nodded heavily.
Jing Ruan followed Yan Yi He out through the side door of the mall. There were people escorting them the whole way. After they got into the car, the vehicle drove toward a sparsely populated area.
Sitting in the back seat, Jing Ruan took the initiative to sit on Yan Yi He’s lap as soon as he got in, wrapping his arms around his neck and asking where they were going.
Yan Yi He did not say where they were going first. Instead, he asked Jing Ruan,
“Do you like money?”
Jing Ruan did not understand. What kind of question was that? Who did not like money? What was there to ask?
Yan Yi He gently pinched Jing Ruan’s chin and asked again,
“Do you like the money I give you?”
“I like it.”
Jing Ruan liked money no matter who gave it to him, as long as it was money.
Yan Yi He held Jing Ruan, his right hand resting on his back and stroking along his spine, as if smoothing the fur of a small pet.
“People in this world always love to put on an aloof and noble act. They always think everyone else is drunk while they alone are sober, yet they don’t realize that no one can escape the vulgar world.”
Yan Yi He said this sentence without beginning or end.
Jing Ruan did not understand it. He only knew that he had to please the person in front of him, then ask for money and benefits. So he reached out and lightly patted Yan Yi He’s shoulder, as if comforting him.
Yan Yi He caught Jing Ruan’s hand and asked him,
“What lessons has your teacher been teaching you lately?”
Recently, the content the teacher had been teaching was much more explicit. Sometimes, he even played films for Jing Ruan to watch and learn from. Jing Ruan watched every day until his face and ears flushed red.
So when Yan Yi He asked about it, Jing Ruan’s ears turned red for once. He buried his head against Yan Yi He’s chest and quietly said two words.
“Sleeping together.”
“Have you learned it? Do you know how to do it?”
Jing Ruan shook his head, then nodded.
The film scenes were much more straightforward than the teacher’s verbal explanations, but after watching them, Jing Ruan forgot almost everything. He had no practical ability at all.
“Tell your teacher there’s no need to teach so quickly. You can learn more of the earlier courses.”
Yan Yi He simply found Jing Ruan interesting. To him, the desire in Jing Ruan’s eyes could be seen through at a glance. It was simple and direct.
So he kept him around to pass the time, but that did not mean he liked him. As for sleeping with him, Yan Yi He did not have that interest yet.
He was only a little pet.
When Yan Yi He grew tired of playing with him, he would release him.
As for how Jing Ruan would live after being released,
that was not within his consideration.
Hearing Yan Yi He’s words, Jing Ruan felt as if he had received a pardon. He quickly nodded to show his agreement.
The car soon arrived at a dock. Several yachts were moored there. Yan Yi He did not get out of the car. He only patted Jing Ruan’s lower back and told him to get out and look by himself.
Jing Ruan had just gotten out and closed the car door when the car window rolled down.
“Among those yachts, you can choose one yourself. I’ll have someone transfer it under your name.”
After Yan Yi He said this, he instructed the driver to leave.
Jing Ruan felt as though he had been struck by a pie falling from the sky. He was so happy that he cheered in place and ran around twice, then rushed toward the yachts at the dock.
After running to the dock, Jing Ruan turned back again and again to confirm with the bodyguard following him.
“I really can choose one? It’s for me?”
The bodyguard replied yes.
Jing Ruan ran back and forth around the dock, choosing for the entire afternoon.
Yan Yi He returned to the manor. Today was the day of his routine psychological checkup. He went to another villa within the manor. That was where the psychological doctors for the Yan family’s person in power lived.
Yan Yi He walked over alone. He had walked this road for many years. When he was a child, the servants who took care of him had brought him over. After he grew a little older, he walked there by himself.
When he reached the villa entrance, Murong Bo was already waiting for him at the door. Yan Yi He followed him inside. The villa was decorated like spring all year round, giving people the feeling of entering a bright, sunny primeval forest.
Two artificial bird nests had been built on the wall, and several birds were kept there. The birds came and went, changing batch after batch over the years.
Yan Yi He sat on the sofa and closed his eyes to rest. At the side, Murong Wei lightly struck a crystal singing bowl. The sound it made was soft and ethereal, calming the heart.
Incense burned on the table, carrying a soothing effect.
Murong Wei’s movements changed continuously. Her gaze remained gentle as she looked at the man not far away. Once every week, ever since childhood, her father had brought her along and kept her by his side to learn from him. The Murong family had existed for the Yan family for generations.
She had watched Yan Yi He grow day by day, from child to youth, then from youth into a true man.
The Yan family had stood firm through generation after generation not only because they were strict and rational in choosing their heirs, but also because they had an extremely elite and professional psychological team. From childhood, this team instilled in the heir the duty to serve the Yan family and become a qualified successor. They constantly watched the heir’s psychological state and emotions to avoid any irreversible consequences.
In the history of the Yan family’s development, these rules and restrictions did not exist at first. They came later, after an outstanding genius appeared among the Yan family’s people in power. In that turbulent era, relying on his intelligence and courage, he made the Yan family stand out from the rest.
But everything has its advantages and disadvantages.
That person in power from the Yan family fell in love with a woman. In truth, the Yan family did not place many restrictions on the heir’s partner. The heir could like whomever they wanted. The only thing that had to follow the rules was the selection of the next heir.
The woman that person in power loved did not like him. Moreover, she was already married. At that time, no one restrained him and no one advised him otherwise. The Yan family only cared about the development and interests of the family, so they did not interfere in the personal life of the person in power.
This eventually led to that woman being forced to divorce her husband.
But what was seized would always remain seized. If she did not like him, then she did not like him.
That woman had a fierce temperament. The two of them caused storm after storm. The woman even declared that unless her child could inherit the Yan family, no matter how much he did, she would never be moved.
That woman’s child carried the bloodline of her ex-husband, not the bloodline of the Yan family. She said this precisely to sever his hopes completely. After all, the Yan family would never watch an outsider’s blood inherit the Yan family.
After that, things quieted down for several years.
But no one expected that, a few years later, the Yan family would realize something was wrong. That person in power truly had begun secretly paving the way for that child.
Everyone thought he had gone mad.
Conflict broke out inside the Yan family. In order to stop his idea, many people died, and the Yan family’s vitality was severely damaged. In the end, the Yan family tried every possible way to kidnap that woman’s son and used him to threaten her into getting rid of that heir.
Finally, everything calmed.
One dead, one wounded.
The genius died at the hands of the person he loved.
From then on, the Yan family took this as a warning. That was why the Murong family came to be. They would constantly monitor the heir’s psychological state and instill ideas into the heir from childhood onward.
After half an hour of meditation, Yan Yi He opened his eyes.
Murong Bo came over to chat with him, just like chatting with a good friend. They talked about what he had done recently and whether there was anything he liked.
After chatting for an hour, Murong Wei came over to interrupt them and said dinner was ready. The few of them went to the dining room together.
The dining room was in a glass conservatory. The flowers here bloomed all year round, and the floral fragrance was faint and pleasant.
Dinner was Italian cuisine. After Yan Yi He cleaned his hands, he took his seat.
Here, there was no particular rule about not speaking while eating or sleeping, so Murong Wei very naturally asked about something.
“Yi He, I heard you’ve been interacting with someone recently?”
“Are you thinking of finding a partner?”
Murong Wei brought it up casually.
In truth, the heir’s private life was not within the scope of their concern. After all, the next heir would only be judged by whether they were qualified, not by whose womb they were born from.
Yan Yi He had many people following him every day. Every move he made would be reported to his psychological doctors, so they knew most things about Yan Yi He.
Murong Bo frowned slightly as he looked at his younger sister. She had overstepped.
Although they did know Yan Yi He’s whereabouts, they had never brought this matter out into the open before. They had always tacitly kept a thin layer of window paper over it.
Yan Yi He speared a piece of beef from his plate with his fork and placed it in his mouth, slowly savoring it. When he heard this, he was not affected in the slightest.
“I don’t know. I’m only interacting with him and seeing how it goes.”
Yan Yi He said.
Murong Wei froze for a moment. The tip of her fork touched the plate, making a faint clink. That sound immediately snapped her awake.
But Murong Wei was unwilling to let the topic end just like that. After drinking a sip of ice water, she asked again,
“But I heard them say that the other party isn’t very suitable for you. He doesn’t truly like you at all. He only likes your money.”
After Murong Wei obtained first-hand information on the other party, she had analyzed it. In the past, she had always wondered what kind of person someone as gentle yet thunderous in bearing as Yan Yi He would fall for.
What kind of person would be able to attract him?
She had been observing all along, waiting all along.
But unexpectedly, the one she had waited for was someone like this.
Greedy, money-grubbing, not very intelligent, and simply worthless.
Yan Yi He set down his fork. There was a faint smile on his lips, but not the slightest warmth in his eyes. Calmly, he answered the question.
“I don’t need sincerity. Sincerity is something that changes in an instant.”
After hearing this answer, Murong Wei was left completely speechless.
The words Yan Yi He had answered with were exactly what they had been instilling in him for a long time. They feared the heir would go mad for love and do something irrational, so they hoped the heir would always remain rational.
After the meal was finished, Yan Yi He prepared to leave.
When he reached the main entrance, Murong Bo chased after him. He apologized on behalf of his younger sister. He had always known his sister’s feelings, but she had never overstepped before, so he had not deliberately reminded her.
He had not expected that because Yan Yi He had begun interacting with someone else, his sister would lose her composure somewhat.
If it had been anyone else, it might have been better. But it had to be someone like that. He knew his sister could not quite get over it in her heart.
“Yi He, we grew up together, and so did Xiao Wei. Although she’s a few years older than you, she truly cares about you. She sees you as family, so today, she overstepped and asked a few too many questions. I hope you won’t be angry.”
Yan Yi He smiled and patted Murong Bo on the shoulder.
“Although I don’t care about sincerity, familial affection is still there. There’s no need to act like every tree and blade of grass is an enemy. It was only a few words. I won’t truly get angry.”
Seeing that Yan Yi He showed not the slightest dissatisfaction when he said this, Murong Bo let out the breath in his heart. Then he smiled and answered him.
“All right. Go back and rest early. Come over more often when you have nothing to do as well. It can help ease your emotions. You’re busy with so many things every day, so your heart must feel troubled too.”
Yan Yi He nodded and said all right, then turned and left.
Yan Yi He walked alone into the half-bright, half-shadowed woods, following the small path back. The manor was very safe, unlike the dangerous outside world, so no bodyguards followed to protect him.
His leather shoes stepped on the stone path, making crisp tapping sounds.
Yan Yi He turned back and glanced at the villa behind him.
Then he gave a soft sneer.
