After the Fake Young Master Ran Away with His Child, the Villain Went Crazy - Chapter 9
After Jing Ruan had taken lessons for a week, Yan Yi He sent a car to pick him up. During this period, Yan Yi He would video call him every night to ask about his progress in class.
The bodyguard brought Jing Ruan to the Yan family manor. After he went through inspection at the entrance, he changed into a vehicle belonging to the manor, and the car drove all the way inside.
The manor was enormous, with many villas inside as well. The driver drove for half an hour before delivering Jing Ruan to an open space. A row of helicopters was parked there.
Yan Yi He stood in front of one helicopter. There was no large crowd following beside him.
Jing Ruan walked up to him.
Today, Yan Yi He was dressed very casually. He wore a silver-gray shirt on top and matching casual trousers below. A brooch in the shape of a soaring eagle was pinned to his chest, the eagle’s eyes decorated with rubies. It was simple yet striking.
“Get in.”
Yan Yi He opened the cabin door with his bare hands. After getting in, he turned back and reached his hand toward Jing Ruan. Jing Ruan used his hand to climb into the helicopter.
After Jing Ruan got in, Yan Yi He closed the cabin door. Then he told Jing Ruan to sit in the copilot’s seat, while he sat in the pilot’s seat.
Jing Ruan copied his movements and fastened his own seat belt.
The helicopter took off and flew above the manor. Only from high up in the air did Jing Ruan finally see just how large this manor was. It was unimaginably huge.
“Mr. Yan, where are we going?”
Jing Ruan asked curiously.
“I’m taking you on a date.”
Yan Yi He controlled the helicopter and flew forward. After flying for about twenty minutes, they entered a forest. Yan Yi He found a platform for landing helicopters and descended onto it.
This platform was very high. From above, one could take in all the scenery below, including the animals that were currently tearing into their prey.
The place Yan Yi He had brought Jing Ruan to was his Hundred Beasts Park.
A small wooden cabin had been built on top of the platform. After the two got down from the helicopter, Yan Yi He led him toward the cabin.
The lower half of the cabin was built from wood, while the upper half was completely covered in glass, giving an unobstructed view. Once they entered, there was a table, a bed, and a wooden shelf with food and water on it.
A packed-away chessboard sat on the table.
Yan Yi He took two bottles of water and casually handed one to Jing Ruan. He leaned against the wall and watched Jing Ruan drink. Jing Ruan sensed his gaze and looked back at him too.
Perhaps because neither of them held affection for the other in the form of love,
the atmosphere instead felt much more natural.
Seeing Yan Yi He stare at him, Jing Ruan thought about what his teacher had taught him. He walked up to Yan Yi He, lowered his head, and looked at the hand hanging by Yan Yi He’s side. Then he reached out a finger and touched it.
After touching him once, Jing Ruan lifted his head to look at Yan Yi He’s reaction. The other party had also lowered his eyes and was looking at him. Seeing that Yan Yi He’s hand did not dodge, Jing Ruan reached out and hooked Yan Yi He’s index finger.
Like a child making a pinky promise.
“Did I learn well?”
Jing Ruan tilted his head up and asked Yan Yi He.
Yan Yi He smiled and touched Jing Ruan’s head.
Right now, both of them were hollow people.
“You learned very well.”
Yan Yi He reached out and held Jing Ruan’s hand, then led him out of the wooden cabin. On the platform, he casually found a place and sat down on the ground.
“Sunsets are different in every place. I’ll show you the sunset here.”
Yan Yi He said.
It was not even noon yet. There was still a long time before sunset.
“Are we staying here all day?”
Jing Ruan felt it was a little boring to stay here. There was no phone signal, no internet, only some food and a place to wash up and sleep.
“Come sit over here. Then we’ll find something interesting to do.”
Yan Yi He reached out and pulled Jing Ruan into his arms.
Jing Ruan sat in front of him. Yan Yi He wrapped one arm around him, while his other hand pinched Jing Ruan’s chin as he asked,
“Do you know how to kiss? Want to try?”
Jing Ruan said he did not.
“I don’t either. Then we can try together.”
After Yan Yi He said this, he lowered his head and kissed him.
Jing Ruan watched the face draw closer and closer to his own. Both their eyes were open. Yan Yi He lightly kissed his lips, then placed his other hand over Jing Ruan’s chest, feeling the beat of his heart.
The speed of his heartbeat was the same as always.
It did not quicken. There was nothing unusual.
“How does it feel?”
Yan Yi He asked him.
“Like being kissed once.”
Jing Ruan answered honestly. He did not find it interesting either.
Yan Yi He let go and lay back on the platform, laughing. Jing Ruan did not understand why, but he consciously found a place to lie down beside Yan Yi He, even resting his head on Yan Yi He’s arm.
Yan Yi He looked at Jing Ruan’s movements, tilted his head to look at him, then reached out and touched the corner of Jing Ruan’s eye.
“Jing Ruan, birds of a feather flock together. You and I are the same kind of person.”
Yan Yi He said.
Jing Ruan was confused when he heard this, so he propped himself up and lay on Yan Yi He’s chest as he asked,
“You’re so powerful, and I don’t know how to do anything. How could we be the same kind of person? You’re wrong.”
After Jing Ruan finished speaking, his gaze was drawn to the brooch on Yan Yi He’s chest. So he boldly reached out to touch it. However, he did not know where he pressed, and the brooch suddenly made a sound.
“Mr. Yan, what are your instructions?”
Such a sentence came from the other end of the brooch.
Jing Ruan was startled and looked toward Yan Yi He as if asking for help. Yan Yi He lightly pressed the eagle’s eye and said it was nothing, that it had been touched by accident.
Jing Ruan let out a breath of relief and obediently lay on Yan Yi He’s chest, no longer daring to touch the brooch.
“What was your life like before?”
Yan Yi He rested his right hand on Jing Ruan’s back and asked him.
He knew Jing Ruan was not the real young master of the Jing family.
“Hiding here and there. Most of the time, I hid in a cellar because I was afraid of being found, tied up, and sold as a slave. When Grandma was still there, Grandma and I depended on each other. After Grandma was gone, I lived alone. Sometimes I rummaged through trash, or stole a little something to fill my stomach. If I was discovered and managed to outrun them, then I was lucky. If I couldn’t run away, I’d get beaten.”
Yan Yi He did not know what place still had such bitter days. He estimated that Jing Ruan had grown up in some lowly, lawless place with no order. His imagination did not go so far as to think Jing Ruan was someone from another world.
“You really are a little mouse.”
“I’m not a little mouse.”
Jing Ruan did not like people calling him that. He was not a little mouse. He was a person. He wanted to live the best life.
“Are you angry?”
“It’s only a name. Besides, wasn’t what I said the truth? Something hiding in the gutter—isn’t that a mouse?”
Yan Yi He said this carelessly.
However, before Jing Ruan could lose his temper, he said the next sentence.
“I’m the same as you. Only, I’m locked in a cage.”
“You’re a mouse too? I don’t believe it.”
Everyone said Yan Yi He had power and influence. The life he lived was a wealth and luxury Jing Ruan could not even imagine. How could he possibly be the same as Jing Ruan?
Yan Yi He held him and pulled him a little higher, letting Jing Ruan look into his eyes. Then he smiled and said,
“I’m a poisonous snake that changes color. Whatever color they want me to be, that’s the color I become. You had better work hard to please me. The day I stop liking you and grow tired of playing with you, you’ll be back in the gutter again.”
“I won’t go back to the gutter. I’m a young master now.”
Jing Ruan did not believe him. He had already transmigrated here.
His identity was Young Master Jing. From now on, he would live a rich and luxurious life. He would never again return to the kind of days where surviving today did not mean he would survive tomorrow.
That was what he said, but Jing Ruan was still somewhat afraid.
Jing Ruan raised his arms and wrapped them around Yan Yi He’s neck. This time, the gesture was sincere, without him thinking too much. He felt Yan Yi He was very powerful, while he was too weak, so he was seeking a sense of security.
Yan Yi He could naturally sense the change in Jing Ruan.
It was not like what the lessons had taught him, stiff and awkward.
Instead, he was soft and sincere as he sought comfort from him.
There was a faint sandalwood scent on Yan Yi He’s clothes. Jing Ruan had never smelled this kind of fragrance before, so he only thought it was the smell of perfume. It was soothing to smell.
An eagle flew across the sky, its claws gripping a wild rabbit. Jing Ruan lifted his head and watched the eagle carry its prey away.
Jing Ruan’s stomach growled twice. He lay back down and moved close to Yan Yi He’s ear, saying he was hungry.
Yan Yi He lifted his left hand and checked his wristwatch.
“What do you want to eat?”
Yan Yi He asked him.
“Anything is fine.”
Jing Ruan thought, Could they really eat whatever they wanted here? Naturally, they would eat whatever there was. He guessed they could only eat the food he had seen in the wooden cabin just now.
Yan Yi He stood up and entered the cabin.
A few minutes later, he came out of the cabin holding a bow and arrows. He tossed the quiver to Jing Ruan, indicating for him to hold it.
“Climb down from here. Do you dare?”
Yan Yi He asked him.
Jing Ruan looked at the height. It was about ten stories high. There was only a ladder, without any protective measures at all.
“What if I fall?”
Jing Ruan was a little scared.
Yan Yi He did not pay attention to him. He drew out an arrow, took the bow, and climbed down with his bare hands. Jing Ruan did not dare stay here alone, and he was also afraid of making Yan Yi He angry, so he could only imitate him and climb down too.
Yan Yi He moved very quickly. When Jing Ruan had only climbed one-third of the way down the ladder, Yan Yi He had already reached the bottom. He stood below and only glanced at Jing Ruan a few times before lifting his foot and leaving.
Jing Ruan was burning with anxiety. He was stuck halfway up, unable to go up or down, and he did not dare speed up. So he could only climb downward with his heart in his throat.
By the time Jing Ruan’s feet touched the ground, his entire body went weak and collapsed onto the ground.
He looked around and did not see Yan Yi He’s figure. He could only stand up and chase in the direction where Yan Yi He had just left.
As Jing Ruan walked, he was terrified, his heart rising to his throat.
While the helicopter had been flying, he had looked down from the air and seen that there were lions, tigers, and other animals in this place.
Fortunately, Yan Yi He had not gone far. Jing Ruan saw him holding the bow and arrow, drawing the bowstring. His thumb and index finger released the arrow, and the arrow let out a whoosh in the air as it flew toward the prey.
The prey was a young deer that had not yet fully grown.
Yan Yi He shot the deer in the hind leg. After the deer was injured, it charged about blindly. Yan Yi He beckoned for Jing Ruan to bring the quiver over.
Jing Ruan hurriedly ran over and handed him the quiver.
Jing Ruan saw Yan Yi He draw three arrows from the quiver.
He wore a jade archer’s thumb ring on his thumb. Three arrows shot out one after another. Two struck the young deer’s legs, and one pierced its abdomen.
The prey was completely captured.
Yan Yi He took a small knife from the quiver and walked toward the prey, preparing to cut off the tenderest piece of meat from its body.
When he made his move, there was not the slightest hesitation.
The knife went down swiftly, precisely, and viciously. Blood splattered everywhere.
Jing Ruan stood beside him, watching the bloody scene before his eyes. Because he did not have time to dodge, a lot of warm blood splashed onto his face.
Yan Yi He turned back to look at Jing Ruan.
Jing Ruan blinked and looked back at him too.
Yan Yi He seemed to only now notice Jing Ruan’s appearance today.
On top, he wore the simplest white short-sleeved shirt. On the bottom, he wore long denim pants, with a pair of light-colored canvas shoes on his feet. He looked clean and fresh, his eyes like a clear, moist spring.
What a beautiful, innocent-looking young man.
Unfortunately, he had been dirtied by blood.
Yan Yi He raised his right hand, which was covered in blood, reached over, and pinched Jing Ruan’s chin as he gave his order.
“Jing Ruan, come here and kiss me.”
In the dense forest, there were only the two of them.
Jing Ruan obediently walked closer. Following the way Yan Yi He had kissed him before, he walked over and gripped Yan Yi He’s body, then used that strength to rise onto his tiptoes.
The deer blood was warm and carried a fishy smell. Jing Ruan kept his eyes open, leaned in, and lightly kissed Yan Yi He.
Yan Yi He lowered his eyes and watched him offer this kiss.
Neither of them closed their eyes.
Only in the instant their lips touched could they feel warmth. After they separated, it quickly dispersed.
The kiss was not like a kiss.
It had only the form, without the meaning.
