A Fishing-Type Omega Always Wants to Possess Me - Chapter 5
An allergic reaction caused by coaxing her fiancée, yet she wanted Yu Mianzhou to apply the medicine?
Yu Mianzhou did not know whether it was the scent of her own pheromones, or whether Jiang Zhi had also used mint body wash.
All she could smell was the clear, cold scent of mint in the air being entangled by another sweet lychee fragrance. The two scents intertwined and poured into her nose, so sweet that it made her scalp tingle.
As if possessed, Yu Mianzhou picked up the ointment and twisted off the cap.
Jiang Zhi was still sitting on her lap, her posture lazy and intimate.
The redness caused by her allergy stood out starkly against the fair skin of her collarbone, like a few touches of rouge fallen onto snow, carrying a sickly sensuality.
Her long black hair lay scattered messily behind her. As she moved, her slender waist, so thin it seemed impossible to hold, sank slightly, fragile like a willow branch that would snap if folded.
Yet at the fuller parts, it rose into a breathtaking curve, giving off a ripened, fatal softness beneath the light.
Yu Mianzhou squeezed out a little of the cold ointment and expressionlessly covered the reddened skin with it.
Her brow lowered, and her fingertips moved down inch by inch along the beautiful line of Jiang Zhi’s spine, spreading the medicine evenly.
Even if Jiang Zhi had to suffer, she still could not bear to let her fiancée feel sad, so she ate the mango the other woman fed her.
How touching.
Yu Mianzhou’s hand pressed slightly harder. The chill of the ointment and the warmth of her fingertips made Jiang Zhi’s body tremble uncontrollably.
Her shoulder blades fluttered like butterfly wings, and even her breathing became fragmented.
Suddenly, Jiang Zhi raised her hand and grasped Yu Mianzhou’s wrist as she was applying the medicine. Her warm fingertips rubbed Yu Mianzhou’s wrist bone now and then, as if soothing her, yet also as if lighting a fire.
Yu Mianzhou’s movements did not pause at all. Like an emotionless robot, she mechanically finished applying the ointment.
“It’s done.” She screwed the cap back on, her voice so flat that no emotion could be heard. “You can leave now.”
But Jiang Zhi lifted her fingers and pinched Yu Mianzhou’s jaw, forcing her to look at her. Her voice was light and soft, carrying a hook.
“You really want me to leave?”
Yu Mianzhou could feel her body temperature rising.
Just like three years ago.
Every time Jiang Zhi argued with Jiang Yingqiu, was grounded, became angry, or was simply unhappy, she would come looking for Yu Mianzhou.
As if dragging Yu Mianzhou down with her to drown in the floating sea of desire was the only release.
But Yu Mianzhou was no longer the person she used to be, the one who could be coaxed and deceived so easily.
She had learned to distinguish lies.
She had learned not to be bewitched.
She had learned to say no to Jiang Zhi.
The doctor’s words were still ringing in her ears. She had differentiated too late, and her pheromones were extremely unstable. Once she was tempted by an Omega, she was very likely to lose control.
Thinking of this, she turned her head away.
A blatant refusal.
That movement was like a basin of ice water, instantly extinguishing the hint of stirred desire in Jiang Zhi’s eyes.
Jiang Zhi stared at the side of her face and suddenly laughed, her gaze abruptly empty and mad.
“Yu Mianzhou, are you pretending we’re not familiar?”
Her fingers brushed along the edge of the desk. Every word was like a poison-dipped needle.
“Have you forgotten how skilled your hands were when you undid my buttons? Forgotten how you used to bite my collarbone? Forgotten how, on this desk, you made me… soak your homework?”
With a boom—
Some memories came so suddenly and without warning.
Jiang Zhi had always been wicked. When she wanted something, she never cared what Yu Mianzhou was doing.
On a rainy night during finals week in their freshman year of university, Yu Mianzhou had been rushing to finish an assignment. Jiang Zhi had walked in just like this and started taking off her coat right in front of her.
For once, Yu Mianzhou had not gone along with her. She said they could do it after she finished her homework.
Jiang Zhi’s hand, which had slipped beneath the hem of her clothes, paused. Her mouth said okay, but then she turned around and licked Yu Mianzhou’s palm until it was damp and soft, before moving upward along her arm.
The tip of her foot hooked Yu Mianzhou’s leg, neither too lightly nor too heavily, again and again, wearing down her composure until she was irritated and restless.
In the end, the young Yu Mianzhou still could not resist the temptation. Under Jiang Zhi’s coaxing, she half-resisted, half-yielded, and carried her onto the desk.
Things spiraled out of control from there. Her homework was soaked through, she did not submit it on time, and she nearly failed the course.
From that day onward, Yu Mianzhou finally understood.
With Jiang Zhi, there was no such thing as whether something was good or whether she agreed.
There was only whether Jiang Zhi wanted to.
What a pity that not long after Yu Mianzhou had just understood this rule, she was driven abroad.
Country Y had nearly half a year of rainy season every year. She often looked through the window of her apartment at the endless curtains of rain outside, yet she did not know what she was supposed to remember.
Or in what identity she should remember it.
And now, the culprit was once again sitting in her arms.
Yu Mianzhou felt even her breathing grow chaotic. The mint scent in the air also wavered with her movements, almost impossible to suppress.
She forced herself to calm down, lowered her eyes, and met Jiang Zhi’s smiling gaze. Her voice was as cold as ice.
“Yes. I’ve forgotten all of it.”
With those few short words, the smile on Jiang Zhi’s face cooled inch by inch. Her thumb pressed down, carrying a trace of malice as she began to mercilessly grind Yu Mianzhou’s lower lip.
Her strength was heavy and ruthless, rubbing it bright and red, as though blood was about to drip out.
“Forgotten?” she repeated faintly, her tone revealing neither joy nor anger. “Yu Mianzhou, how could you forget?”
As she spoke, her fingertips slid from Yu Mianzhou’s jaw to the side of her ear. Her voice was light as a ghost.
“Does this room look familiar?”
“I specially had the servants move every single thing from your old room here. Not one item missing.”
“I preserved everything for you. Not only are you not grateful to me, you actually dare to… provoke me.”
As she spoke, she slowly moved closer. That sweet lychee fragrance was like an airtight net, instantly wrapping around Yu Mianzhou.
It was so sweet that her scalp went numb.
Yu Mianzhou’s reason was crumbling inch by inch.
For one instant, an image surfaced in her mind: peeling away the lychee shell in a few motions, then biting down on the soft, sweet, juice-filled flesh like a beast that had been thirsty in the desert for hundreds of years.
It would surely make her entire body, even her soul, float.
The surging desire threw her senses into chaos. Even more terrifying was that this chaos was no longer under her control.
That feeling of losing control made Yu Mianzhou feel suffocated.
She suddenly pushed Jiang Zhi away and practically staggered toward the bedside table, yanking open the drawer and searching through it like mad.
She remembered putting the special medicine Joyce had brought her there!
The contents of the drawer were thrown into a mess by her searching. Finally, her fingertips touched the cold blister pack of pills.
Yu Mianzhou let out a breath of relief and was about to tear open the foil when a slender hand locked around her wrist—
The next second, the entire pack of pills was pulled away.
The world spun.
Yu Mianzhou was pushed down onto the bed by a force. Her back slammed into the soft mattress and sank into it.
Jiang Zhi parted her legs and straddled her directly.
Looking down from above.
“You haven’t forgotten these bedsheets, have you?” Jiang Zhi shook the medicine in her hand, a gentle smile curling at the corner of her lips. “How many times did we do it on them?”
With every word she spoke, Yu Mianzhou’s body grew hotter.
The clear mint scent in the air could no longer be suppressed and almost began to boil.
“Jiang Zhi.” Yu Mianzhou’s voice was terribly hoarse, carrying a heavily restrained pant. “Give me the medicine.”
Her entire body was stretched taut, like a bow pulled to its limit, ready to snap at any moment.
Jiang Zhi felt the abnormal heat of the body beneath her and watched Yu Mianzhou’s loss of control with great interest.
She had never slept with Yu Mianzhou when she was this hot before.
She suddenly bent down, her warm breath spilling over Yu Mianzhou’s ear.
Then she lifted the long hair from the back of her neck, revealing that fair and fragile gland.
The rich Omega fragrance filled the entire room, carrying fatal temptation.
“Break up with that woman,” Jiang Zhi’s lips almost touched her ear as she spoke, each word exhaled softly and fragrantly, “and I’ll let you bite me once.”
“All right?”
Those words were like a feather, lightly scratching against Yu Mianzhou’s taut nerves.
Jiang Zhi knew Yu Mianzhou’s body.
She knew where the switches were.
That summer, they had been like a venomous snake and a vine. Though they were clearly not the same species, they had still clung together stubbornly and illicitly beneath the dim shade of trees.
Jiang Zhi’s fingers slid to her earlobe and kneaded it twice, neither lightly nor heavily.
“Mm…”
A restrained gasp escaped Yu Mianzhou’s throat.
That sound was like a dose of potent medicine, making the desire in Jiang Zhi’s eyes grow even deeper.
Even though she herself had been softened by the excessive Alpha pheromones in the air, her gaze still carried an indescribable stubbornness, forcing the person before her to yield.
Yu Mianzhou’s reason finally snapped completely.
Only one thought remained in her mind.
Mark her.
Possess her.
She suddenly flipped over and pinned the person above her firmly against the bed. Through the thin silk nightdress, she bit down on the soft flesh.
The layer of fabric blurred the sensation, yet added a few more traces of madness. The bed sank slightly. She leaned closer, her shadow completely enveloping the person beneath her.
She sucked almost greedily, drawing in the scent that could calm her.
Jiang Zhi did not resist at all. She even took the initiative to hook her long legs around Yu Mianzhou.
Just before Yu Mianzhou lost control even more completely, the tip of her tongue tasted the obstructive feel of fabric.
Her movements abruptly stopped.
As if suddenly waking up, she pushed Jiang Zhi away from beneath her.
She climbed off the bed with unsteady steps, snatched the pack of medicine from Jiang Zhi’s hand, and swallowed the pills dry without even looking for water.
The tablets scraped down her throat, carrying a bitter, painful sting.
Almost instantly, the heat began to retreat bit by bit, and her reason returned.
Yu Mianzhou knelt there, gasping for breath, and looked at the woman on the bed whose eyes were misty and whose features were flushed red.
Then she lowered her eyes, her gaze falling on her own dark pajama pants.
After seeing the damp stain on them clearly, Yu Mianzhou’s mind buzzed.
Only then did she realize that beneath Jiang Zhi’s nightdress, she had been wearing nothing at all.
The dizzy, swollen feeling in her head grew even stronger. She gritted her teeth.
“Leave my room!”
Jiang Zhi’s breathing gradually steadied as well.
She remained silent on the bed for a few seconds, seemingly not expecting Yu Mianzhou’s self-control to be this good, that she could still stop.
Only when the nightdress where she had been bitten was damp with saliva and a chill spread across her chest did she leisurely gather the collar of her nightdress, covering the suggestive mess.
“You’re that unwilling to break up with her?”
Her tone was far too light, so light that it circled once in the air and disappeared.
Yu Mianzhou’s temples throbbed. The aftereffects of pheromone overload made her head ache as if it would split.
She had not heard clearly.
“What?”
Jiang Zhi sat up and walked barefoot, her feet white as jade, to stand in front of Yu Mianzhou. Those beautiful eyes stared at her.
“You’ve really grown capable, Yu Mianzhou.”
She had pushed her away twice in one night.
Jiang Zhi raised her hand, as if wanting to touch her, but stopped in midair.
When she spoke again, she was once more that high-and-mighty eldest daughter of the Jiang family.
“I came here to warn you. Since you’re back, behave yourself. Don’t go crazy.”
Yu Mianzhou found it absurd.
“Who’s crazy?” She raised her eyes and looked straight at Jiang Zhi. “If we’re talking about crazy, in this house, who could be crazier than you?”
Her nails dug hard into the soft carpet as she said word by word, “My blessings for you and Miss Gu were sincere.”
“Sincere?” Jiang Zhi laughed out loud. “You’d better not let me catch another chance…”
Jiang Zhi leaned close to her, her voice so soft that only the two of them could hear.
“To drive you out again.”
“You’re only something lodging in my house. Don’t take yourself too seriously.”
After saying that, she turned and walked out of the room without looking back.
The door was brushed by the evening wind and gently closed.
In the air, that cloying lychee fragrance had yet to fully disperse. It still lingered at the tip of Yu Mianzhou’s nose, leaving her dizzy.
Jiang Zhi had always been like this.
Speaking and deciding everything on her own, obsessive and pure, playing with other people’s fates as easily as turning over her hand.
And she, Yu Mianzhou, had always been in the palm of Jiang Zhi’s hand.
