Chapter 23
“Can you still hold on right now?” Ji Tang looked at Sang Yuan meaningfully.
Sang Yuan looked at Ji Tang in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Cough.” Ji Tang’s ears turned a little red. “Did you bring suppressants?”
“Suppressants?” Sang Yuan froze for a moment. Then, immediately afterward, a wave of burning heat rose inside his body.
The familiar feeling made his expression change slightly.
This… could it be an Omega’s special period?
But his special period wasn’t supposed to be now, and he still had a suppressing patch on.
It was just that, at this moment, the suppressing patch seemed to have stopped working. But he had clearly already gone through it once during summer break this year.
The key was, he had never imagined that less than two short months later, he would have to go through it again. He had not prepared suppressants at all.
On his pretty little face, it was impossible to tell whether it was sweat or cold water.
“I didn’t prepare that kind of thing.” Sang Yuan immediately realized that Ji Tang had discovered his identity.
Since he had already been found out, he no longer hid it. In his current condition, he needed someone to help him even more.
This damn world.
He realized he might have made a serious mistake. He had originally thought that an Omega’s special period happened only once a year.
But the situation he was facing now seemed to say otherwise.
His understanding of this world was far too shallow.
“What should I do? Is there any way to solve this?” Sang Yuan’s expression did not look very good.
The moment he thought of the first time he had encountered his special period, when he had been completely confused and had made all the Alphas around him restless, his face darkened.
Most importantly, he had already tested it last time. When entering the special period, his body became weak and soft. Being able to use even half his usual strength was already good.
Right now, he was relying entirely on his own willpower to endure with all his might. The impulse surging inside his body made him desperately want to get closer to Ji Tang.
The scent on Ji Tang smelled very good. It seemed even richer than what he had smelled before, yet it was still very refreshing.
“How about telling the instructor?” Ji Tang suggested.
The base had military doctors, and the military doctors would definitely have suppressants. As long as they told the instructor, one dose of suppressant definitely would not be a problem.
“No.” Sang Yuan refused without even thinking.
He had worked so hard to hide his identity precisely because he did not want others to know he was an Omega.
If he told the instructor, wouldn’t everyone find out?
“If you don’t want to tell the instructor, then we’ll have to do temporary soothing.” Ji Tang looked deeply at Sang Yuan.
“What’s temporary soothing?” Sang Yuan was at a loss. His rationality was now being eroded bit by bit, and he slowly pressed closer to Ji Tang.
Ji Tang pursed his lips slightly. He suspected Sang Yuan had not properly attended hygiene and common knowledge classes.
“An Alpha can perform temporary soothing on an Omega by injecting a small amount of pheromones to help them get through the special period.”
Sang Yuan’s eyes lit up, and he grabbed Ji Tang’s hand. “Then what are we waiting for? Hurry up. Help me out.”
“…Are you sure?” Ji Tang paused slightly. Looking at Sang Yuan’s urgent expression, he subconsciously asked again.
“Stop dawdling. Hurry. Help a good brother out.”
Sang Yuan felt that Ji Tang’s body was cool, and his scent was especially pleasant. He could not help grabbing Ji Tang’s hand and pressing it against his own face. “Your hand feels really comfortable.”
That pretty little face carried a flush as he rubbed against Ji Tang’s palm again and again. Ji Tang’s heart gave a sudden jump.
Since the Omega did not mind, Ji Tang, as an Alpha, naturally would not back down.
“It’ll hurt a little.” Ji Tang held Sang Yuan. “Bear with it.”
Sure enough, just as he had imagined, Ji Tang’s body was very comfortable.
The Alpha’s pheromones gradually eased Sang Yuan’s increasingly restless mood.
Ji Tang paused, then tore off the suppressing patch on the back of Sang Yuan’s neck. An even richer scent of orange soda spread out.
In an instant, Ji Tang’s pheromones, which had originally only been giving off a faint breath, surged out overwhelmingly.
Sang Yuan’s legs went a little weak. He could only grab Ji Tang’s arm. “When exactly are you—”
Pain swept through his whole body.
At this moment, the domineering nature belonging to an Alpha was fully displayed.
Pain.
Numbness.
The uncomfortable feeling was soothed little by little. Sang Yuan could no longer stand. His legs had gone soft.
Sang Yuan’s entire body curled into Ji Tang’s arms. If not for Ji Tang supporting him, he would have already sat on the floor.
The scent of cedar and orange soda tangled together, unexpectedly harmonious.
Ji Tang’s heart stirred slightly.
At first, Sang Yuan’s body had still carried the scent of body wash.
But that fragrance was instantly covered by the scent of orange soda. Almost without needing much effort, the pheromones inside Ji Tang’s body seemed to find an outlet.
They surged fiercely toward the place unique to Omegas.
The pheromones of the person in his arms were unexpectedly compatible with his own. That truly surprised Ji Tang.
Sang Yuan lowered his head.
Soft, harmless, pure.
A slightly embarrassed expression appeared on Ji Tang’s face, and his heart felt a little hot.
He gave a light cough and carefully stuck the suppressing patch back onto Sang Yuan’s neck.
That spot was a little warm, as if it had taken in too much nourishment and was already saturated.
After temporary soothing, an Omega’s body would carry an Alpha’s scent, and it would be very obvious.
The corners of Ji Tang’s mouth lifted slightly, and there was a strange feeling in his heart.
“Rest for a bit. There’s no hurry to go back.”
If they went back now, everyone in the dorm would definitely sense that something was wrong.
Alphas were very sensitive to an Omega’s scent.
If he had not discovered something was wrong with Sang Yuan at the first moment, the entire dorm would probably have suffered by now.
Sang Yuan, who had always felt a barrier between himself and this world, finally understood at this moment why Alphas and Omegas formed a natural suppression.
When Ji Tang had been performing temporary soothing just now, Sang Yuan had actually felt an impulse to submit from the depths of his heart.
God knew how shocked he was. Damn it, he was a straight man! A straight man! A straight man!
He had been temporarily soothed by another man and had actually wanted to submit.
He had to be crazy.
Had he been influenced by Sang Lan?
No, no, no. It was definitely the special period’s fault.
The danger level of the special period rose by another degree in Sang Yuan’s heart.
He had underestimated the special period far too much. Why did this thing have no fixed pattern?
Only after the scent on his body slowly faded did Ji Tang help Sang Yuan up. “Let’s go.”
Still dizzy, Sang Yuan followed Ji Tang back to the dorm.
The two of them did not disturb anyone and quietly returned to their beds.
The first thing Sang Yuan did was open his phone and search what exactly had caused this sudden episode.
After searching for a long time, he finally understood what had happened to his body this time.
Omegas could be induced into a false special period, just like this time.
A true special period would not be solved as easily as what had happened just now.
So he had been affected by something and induced into a false special period.
Sang Yuan lowered his eyes and typed into his phone again: how to soothe an Omega.
He had been far too careless before. He had thought that once he got through the once-a-year special period, everything would be over.
Who could have imagined there would also be an unpredictable time bomb?
There was still a lot he needed to cram. But…
The phone in Sang Yuan’s hand went dark, and his eyes had already closed.
The soothing just now had made him abnormally exhausted. He no longer had the strength to open his eyes.
