After Transmigrating Into a Book, I Became That Omega - Chapter 7
After eating, the group headed to the field together.
Perhaps because the Literature Department had too few people, their gathering spot was actually right next to the Astronomy Department’s.
Once Sang Yuan arrived at the field, he greeted the counselor, then began checking attendance.
There were twenty people in total. Eighteen had arrived. Only the two Omegas were still missing.
He checked the time. It was almost seven already, yet there was still no sign of them.
Sang Yuan took out his phone and directly called Ning Beibei. No one picked up.
He frowned, then called Lin Chun. The phone rang many times before it was finally answered.
“Student Lin, hello. This is Sang Yuan. It’s almost time to gather now. When will you and Student Ning Beibei arrive?”
“Oh, it’s the class monitor. Soon, soon. Wait for us a little.”
Lin Chun said this hurriedly, then hung up.
“What did they say? Where are they?” Yu Feng kept checking his watch from time to time. They had specifically said during the meeting that no one could be late today, so why were they still like this?
Yun City Base also had strict requirements. Whatever time they were supposed to arrive was the time they had to arrive. They could not delay things.
“Teacher Yu, I’ll go check. I’ll bring them over as quickly as possible.” Sang Yuan casually shoved the class sign into Fang Yuandong’s hands and quickly ran off.
“Hey, Sang Yuan, don’t you be late either!” Yu Feng shouted after Sang Yuan. Sang Yuan ran swiftly, raising one hand high to signal that he knew.
Ji Tang glanced in the direction Sang Yuan had run off, then slowly withdrew his gaze. This roommate of his really was energetic no matter the time.
Sang Yuan ran all the way to the Omega dorm in one breath. After saying something to the dorm auntie, he charged straight up to the fourth floor.
In Room 402 on the fourth floor, Ning Beibei was still posing in front of the mirror. “Hey, Lin Chun, do you think this lip gloss is too red?”
“Beibei, hurry up. It’s almost seven.” Lin Chun was also starting to get anxious as he looked at the time.
“What’s the rush? There are only two Omegas in our class. Do they dare not wait for us?” Ning Beibei twisted left and right in front of the mirror, very satisfied with the stunning beauty reflected there.
With a bang, the door to Room 402 was pushed open.
The two of them looked in surprise at Sang Yuan standing in the doorway.
“Class monitor, why are you here?” Lin Chun quickly stood up, feeling a little guilty.
Sang Yuan checked the time. “Ten seconds. Grab your things and come downstairs with me, or I’ll directly deduct your credits.”
“On what grounds can you deduct our credits?” Ning Beibei shrieked, staring at Sang Yuan in disbelief.
“Seven, six, five, four…” Sang Yuan ignored him and simply looked at his watch as he counted down.
“Ah—” Ning Beibei screamed, then unwillingly pushed his suitcase over. Lin Chun, who knew how to read the situation, also picked up his luggage and stood beside them.
“Now, run faster. If you two don’t reach the field within five minutes, your credits will be deducted directly.” After Sang Yuan said this, he picked up Ning Beibei and Lin Chun’s luggage, one in each hand, and rushed out at a brisk pace.
“Ah! My makeup!” Seeing Sang Yuan run off until he disappeared, Ning Beibei immediately turned pale with fright and ran after him. Those were all cosmetics he had spent a lot of money on—international brands!
Lin Chun hurriedly closed the door and followed after them too. He did not want his credits deducted.
Five minutes later, Ning Beibei and Lin Chun arrived at the field, panting heavily. Sang Yuan was already standing at the very front with the class sign in hand, calm and unhurried.
Ning Beibei glared at Sang Yuan angrily and pulled his luggage back. Sang Yuan glanced at him and did not take it to heart.
Soon, all the departments had finished gathering. Many buses were parked beside the field, and the students got on in batches.
The Literature Department had the fewest people, so they had to share a bus with another department.
One bus could seat forty-nine people. One Astronomy Department class had sixty students, and there were three classes in total. The several dozen extra students were combined with other departments to ride together.
“Sang Yuan, I just received notice that I need to attend a meeting. I’ll leave the students in our class to you.” Yu Feng hurriedly got onto the bus and reminded Sang Yuan, “If anything happens, remember to call me.”
“All right, Teacher Yu,” Sang Yuan answered.
The moment Ji Tang boarded the Literature Department’s bus, he saw his roommate sitting in the first row, wearing earphones and listening to music.
“Huh, you’re riding this bus too?” Seeing Ji Tang get on, surprise appeared on Sang Yuan’s face. “Come on, sit here.”
Ji Tang nodded and naturally sat down beside Sang Yuan.
The Omegas who had been secretly watching Ji Tang ever since he got on looked regretfully at the person sitting in the front row. Such a good-looking Alpha had actually gone to sit with a Beta.
“This Sang Yuan really puts me in a bad mood.” Ning Beibei had originally been drooling over Ji Tang’s handsomeness and had even specially adjusted his clothes. In the end, he saw Sang Yuan directly call the person over.
He had already been full of resentment toward Sang Yuan because of what happened that morning, and now, no matter how he looked at him, Sang Yuan was unpleasant to the eye.
“Do you want to listen to music?” Sang Yuan took off one earbud and looked at Ji Tang as he asked.
Ji Tang lowered his eyes and looked at the earbud in Sang Yuan’s hand.
The small earbud looked especially nice between Sang Yuan’s delicate fingers.
“Thank you.” Ji Tang took the earbud from Sang Yuan’s hand. His fingertip brushed against Sang Yuan’s, carrying a warm sensation.
Without changing expression, Ji Tang put the earbud into his ear. Soon, a soft song flowed out from it.
It was rather unexpected. Someone who seemed so noisy and lively actually listened to such soothing music.
The Omegas on the bus kept covertly sizing Ji Tang up.
As an Alpha who was outstanding in every aspect, Ji Tang was undoubtedly the one who shone the brightest in any crowd.
But at this moment, he merely tilted his head and looked at Sang Yuan, whose head was leaning against the window glass and making soft thumping sounds.
Sang Yuan had fallen asleep. The pretty little face that was usually overshadowed by his bright smile now looked unusually soft and cute.
After thinking for a moment, Ji Tang eventually reached out to support Sang Yuan’s head and placed it on his own shoulder.
As if knowing that this side was more comfortable to lean against, Sang Yuan even unconsciously rubbed against Ji Tang’s neck.
The Omegas sneaking glances at them nearly stared their eyes out. Oh my god, they had not expected this Alpha to be so gentle. He even kindly took care of a Beta.
This kind of Alpha made their hearts race even more.
Ning Beibei’s face carried a blush as he stared obsessively in Ji Tang’s direction, wishing he could move the head on Ji Tang’s shoulder away and lean on it himself.
Ji Tang looked at Sang Yuan in puzzlement. Strange. Why did he feel like there was a scent of orange soda? Could the smell of the soda spilled on him yesterday still be lingering?
He tried smelling again, but the scent was gone, as if what he had smelled just now had only been an illusion.
Ji Tang became even more puzzled. Ever since differentiating into an Alpha, his sense of smell had been especially sharp. This was the first time something like this had happened.
A trace of deep thought flashed through his eyes. Perhaps he really had smelled it wrong. Then he closed his eyes and also fell asleep.
