Chapter 30

Perhaps because he felt hot, Sang Yuan stretched one leg out from under the blanket.

Ji Tang pressed his lips together and pulled the blanket over, wanting to cover Sang Yuan properly.

He had just covered him when Sang Yuan kicked the blanket away again. He even lifted his shirt, exposing his little belly.

With a soft sigh, Ji Tang had no choice but to use the blanket to cover Sang Yuan’s stomach. His fingers touched the exposed skin, and as if he had been burned, he quickly withdrew his hand.

After returning to his own bed, Ji Tang’s ears were a little red. When he came back to his senses, he found that he had already taken several photos of Sang Yuan’s sleeping face with his phone.

Ji Tang froze slightly. He subconsciously moved to tap delete, but after hesitating for a long while, he still exited the interface.

In his phone, several photos quietly lay in a locked album.

When Sang Yuan woke up after a full night’s sleep, he was full of energy. Seeing that Ji Tang had also opened his eyes, he flashed a toothy smile. “Morning.”

“Morning.” Ji Tang came back to himself slightly, and Sang Yuan had already run to the bathroom.

The two checked out of the room and pushed their luggage straight back to the dorm.

“Hey, didn’t Luo Xinghe come back with us?” Sang Yuan had a feeling he had forgotten something.

“They still have to stay a few more days to help the instructors organize the materials from this training.”

“Oh, so that’s how it is.” Sang Yuan nodded. No wonder he had not seen Luo Xinghe come back with them.

Liu Tiancheng was still sleeping soundly in the dorm. The two did not disturb him. After putting down their luggage, they went out again.

“I’m going to train. Are you coming?” Sang Yuan checked the time. It was still very early, completely enough time to train before eating.

“Okay. Together.” Ji Tang did not mind. Before this, at this hour, they would already have been getting up to train at the base. Their biological clocks could not adjust back so quickly.

After the two finished training and came back from breakfast, Liu Tiancheng finally rubbed his newly awakened eyes. Seeing the two of them, his eyes went round.

“Damn, when did you two come back?”

“Boohoo, you guys are too awful. A four-person dorm, and three of you left. I was left all alone, pitiful and lonely.” Liu Tiancheng pretended to wipe tears.

“But I feel like you weren’t lonely at all. Didn’t I hear you’ve been getting along very warmly with an Omega from the department next door?” Sang Yuan looked at Liu Tiancheng with a grin.

This matter was something Liu Tiancheng himself had mentioned in their dorm group chat. He had used it to mock the three of them for going to training and missing out on many cute Omegas.

“Hehe. See through it, don’t say it out loud, and we’re still good brothers.” Liu Tiancheng chuckled.

Although they had not spent much time together in person, they had chatted like mad in the group chat over the past month, so there was no sense of unfamiliarity or distance at all.

“Are you going to class today?” Liu Tiancheng climbed down from bed. “Have you eaten?”

“We’re going to class. We’ve already eaten. You’d better hurry up.” Sang Yuan checked the time and felt that if Liu Tiancheng went to eat now, he might not make it in time.

“Hehe, naturally, someone is bringing me breakfast.” Liu Tiancheng looked smug. He did not delay any longer and ran off to wash up.

The three of them left the dorm together. They saw Liu Tiancheng take a few quick steps forward and accept the food from the Omega standing at the door.

“Let me introduce you. These are the two giant pandas from our dorm who finally came back, Sang Yuan and Ji Tang.”

“This is my girlfriend, Tian Xin.” Liu Tiancheng proudly wrapped an arm around Tian Xin’s shoulders.

Tian Xin was quite a cute Omega. She was petite, with very large eyes, and she greeted the two of them openly.

“Hello, I’m Liu Tiancheng’s girlfriend, Tian Xin.”

Ji Tang nodded slightly. Sang Yuan, on the other hand, waved with a smile. “Then we won’t disturb your couple’s world.”

As he spoke, Sang Yuan pulled Ji Tang forward a few steps.

Only when they reached the teaching building did the two part ways.

The moment Sang Yuan entered the classroom, the students inside fell silent. Very quickly, they let out a “wow.”

“Class monitor, you’re back! When did you come back?”

“Class monitor, is your training all finished?”

“Not necessarily. Maybe he was eliminated and sent back.” Ning Beibei said in a sour, sarcastic tone.

The classroom went quiet. Soon, someone came out to smooth things over.

“Class monitor, tell us about the training camp. Our school only sent ten students in total, and one of them was actually from our class. It makes us feel especially proud.”

“Yeah, yeah, class monitor, tell us about it.”

Most of the students were curious and friendly, quickly brushing past Ning Beibei’s acidic words.

Ning Beibei pursed his lips, looking displeased as he stared at Sang Yuan.

How had Sang Yuan gone to training camp without getting even a little tanned? He himself had gone through one month of military training and had used who knew how many bottles of sunscreen, yet he was still not as fair as before. So infuriating.

Sang Yuan picked out what he could say and told everyone a little. Only at the end did he say, “Class is about to start. Go back to your seats. We can chat again when there’s a chance.”

“You’re really something. You really gave us Betas face.” Fang Yuandong bumped Sang Yuan’s arm, pride written all over his face.

“You have no idea how shocked everyone was when they heard that one of the people selected was a Beta.”

“We Betas have finally held our heads high. When we walk out, our backs are straight.”

“And on top of that, you weren’t even eliminated in the first batch. That made us look even better.”

Fang Yuandong spoke so enthusiastically that spit nearly flew from his mouth, as if he himself had been the one to go out and take part in the training.

“You came back at this time, so were you eliminated? It’s fine. Being able to hold on until now is already extremely amazing. Rise up, Betas!”

“Cough, cough. The teacher is here.” Sang Yuan gave a light cough. Fang Yuandong’s words made him feel ashamed. Catching sight of the teacher entering through the door, he reminded him quietly.

Only then did Fang Yuandong close his mouth, still not fully satisfied.

The teacher came in without taking attendance and directly began the lesson.

There were not many students in the Literature Department to begin with. Halfway through the class, the teacher pushed up his glasses and looked at Sang Yuan. “Hm? Which student is this? Are you here to sit in?”

Sang Yuan’s face was far too eye-catching. Generally speaking, anyone who had seen him would not forget him.

“Haha, teacher, that’s our class monitor. He went to participate in training before and only came back today,” a student immediately answered loudly.

The teacher suddenly understood. “Oh, oh, so you’re that very impressive student from our Literature Department. Sang Yuan, right?”

“Hello, teacher.” Sang Yuan stood up and greeted the teacher politely.

“Sit, sit. I was wondering why I hadn’t seen you before.” The teacher smiled and let Sang Yuan sit down.

“If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can come find me after class. I’ll help tutor you.” The teacher was afraid that they had not had time to open their books during training, so he kindly reminded him.

“Thank you, teacher.” Sang Yuan did not explain too much and merely nodded in response.

In any case, it was the teacher’s kindness. Whether he needed it or not was another matter.

After a full day of classes, every teacher called Sang Yuan’s name. It made him feel fortunate that he had already memorized most of the books earlier. After listening carefully, there was basically no major gap.

Sang Yuan was rather helpless. He had just returned, and the teachers still found him somewhat novel.

“Come on, come on, Sang Yuan. Since you’re back today, no matter what, we have to welcome you back properly. Let’s go, Cafeteria Two it is.” Once school ended, Fang Yuandong immediately pushed Sang Yuan toward the cafeteria.
