Carrying My Senior's Coffin (GL) - Chapter 26
Fang Yiyi clutched the dress awkwardly, trying her best to keep it from getting dirty.
Li Ting noticed.
“Protecting the dress?”
Fang Yiyi nodded tearfully.
Li Ting’s eyes shifted, and a smile curved her lips. She dragged Fang Yiyi off the bed with her and thoroughly bullied her atop the pile of clothes.
Amid her panic, Fang Yiyi’s crying abruptly grew louder.
Overwhelmed by several kinds of stimulation at once, she trembled and fainted.
Looking at the unconscious woman, a dark-red glint flashed through Li Ting’s eyes.
She licked her lips in pleasure.
By the time Fang Yiyi woke, it was already late at night.
Her mind was foggy, and her eyes were swollen like walnuts.
Li Ting had no habit of turning on the lights, so the room was pitch-black.
Fang Yiyi struggled upright, climbed out of bed barefoot, and staggered toward the light switch.
The moment her foot touched the floor, she accidentally stepped on something smooth and shiny and nearly slipped.
Looking down, she saw one of the inner plastic bags used to package the clothes.
It gleamed beneath the light coming through the window.
Now that she had stepped on it, the bag was badly wrinkled, and the clothes inside were no longer perfectly smooth.
Fang Yiyi’s heart ached.
She switched on the light with a snap.
The sudden brightness made her instinctively narrow her eyes.
At the same time, she saw Li Ting.
Li Ting was lying on her side atop Fang Yiyi’s bed, one slender arm raised to support her head.
The loose sleeve of her crimson robe hung around her elbow, making her skin appear even more flawless and delicate.
Fang Yiyi could even see the faint blue veins beneath it.
When she looked over, her eyes met Li Ting’s.
The other woman had clearly been watching her for quite some time.
“…Senior.”
“Mm. Awake?” Li Ting asked lazily.
Fang Yiyi secretly supported her aching, weak waist.
For some reason, a wave of shyness suddenly came over her.
“How long have you been awake, Senior?”
Li Ting asked, “Did I ever fall asleep?”
“…”
Fine.
Then how long had Senior been lying in that position?
Surely she had not been staring at Fang Yiyi the whole time…
Fang Yiyi thought, I probably don’t snore or drool… right?
That would be so embarrassing…
At that thought, her gaze darted away.
The corner of her eye caught sight of the clothes scattered across the floor, and she immediately crouched as though she had found salvation.
“I’ll clean everything up first!”
“Mm-hm.”
Li Ting answered with two lazy hums, rolled onto her back, and stopped looking at her.
Then she began playing on Fang Yiyi’s phone.
The cheerful music of a match-three game rang through the room.
Fang Yiyi, whose waist ached, whose legs were weak, and who still had to clean the room: “?”
Fortunately, the clothes were all still inside their inner packaging.
Although several bags had torn, most remained intact.
Fang Yiyi sorted them into categories.
For the packages that had not been damaged, she removed the wrapping and placed the clothes directly inside the dormitory wardrobe, which was large enough to hold an entire person.
The clothes whose bags had torn and become dirty were sorted by color and placed in a washbasin. She would wash them once she had some free time.
Then she discovered she did not have enough hangers.
She would need to find time to buy more.
As expected, the more things she bought, the more money she had to spend.
After buying one thing, she needed another.
In the past, she had owned nothing, so there had been nothing she needed to buy.
Fang Yiyi let her thoughts wander chaotically as she carried the basin into the bathroom to wash the clothes.
Hm…
She would also need to buy a small stool, she thought.
Halfway through washing, Fang Yiyi became hungry.
She craned her neck and called to Li Ting, “Senior, help me order delivery. I want hot-and-sour noodles.”
“Mm.”
The game music stopped briefly, then started again.
Fang Yiyi reflected on herself.
Ever since receiving that three hundred thousand yuan, she had become increasingly decadent.
In the past, her first thought upon getting hungry had been to go to the cafeteria.
Now she ordered delivery at the slightest excuse.
And she did not even repeat the same meal.
The food arrived half an hour later.
When the delivery driver called, Fang Yiyi had just finished hanging the final piece of clothing.
It was a short pink dress with a subtle pattern that could only be seen in sunlight.
Now it fluttered gently from the clothesline, looking exceptionally pretty.
Fang Yiyi admired it from several angles before heading downstairs to collect her food.
Besides the mouthwatering bowl of hot-and-sour noodles, there was also a cup of sweet, fragrant taro-ball boba milk tea.
Fang Yiyi said she had not ordered it, but the receipt clearly showed her name.
She could only carry it back with a face full of question marks.
“I ordered it,” Li Ting said.
Her fingers continued moving without pause.
A series of boom, boom, boom sounds came from the phone.
She had cleared another level.
“Oh. Here.”
Fang Yiyi held the milk tea out with both hands.
“Should I put the straw in for you?”
Li Ting glanced at her expressionlessly.
“It’s for you. I don’t drink that.”
“Huh?”
Fang Yiyi lifted the milk tea until it was level with her eyes.
Inside were yellowish-green pearls resembling pieces of jade.
Each was the same size, perfectly round and smooth, so pretty they hardly looked edible.
“I’ve never had this before.”
She had bought it plenty of times, though.
Most often for Mi Manman.
Every time Fang Yiyi brought one back, Manman would complain that milk tea made people gain weight while drinking it with obvious enjoyment.
“Then finish all of it,” Li Ting said casually as she opened the next game level.
“Put on some weight. You’re too thin. You’re all bones when I hold you.”
“Oh.”
Fang Yiyi took a sip and automatically ignored the part about being bony to hold.
A soft, fragrant sweetness instantly filled her mouth.
!!!
So delicious!
Fang Yiyi stared wide-eyed at the light-brown drink, her astonishment written all over her face.
No wonder Mi Manman drank milk tea even while dieting and skipping meals.
It was truly delicious.
If it were Fang Yiyi, she would not be able to resist either!
She took another large sip.
This time, she bit into a tapioca pearl.
It was springy, sweet, and carried a rich flavor she could not quite describe.
In any case, it was unbelievably good!
She ran over to Li Ting, eyes sparkling, eager to share the heavenly delicacy she had just discovered.
“Senior, try some! This is really good!”
Li Ting raised her eyes.
“Really good?”
“Mm-hm! It’s so sweet!”
In the next second, Li Ting’s cool hand unexpectedly covered the back of Fang Yiyi’s head and pressed her forward into a kiss.
Their lips and tongues tangled.
Fang Yiyi instantly went rigid like a statue, her mind turning completely blank.
Th-This…
Senior kissed her?
Fang Yiyi felt blood surge upward through her body like lava erupting from a volcano.
When it reached its peak, it exploded, blowing her into pieces until not even fragments remained.
Just before she suffocated, Li Ting finally released her.
But she did not pull away completely.
She merely leaned back slightly, close enough that Fang Yiyi’s breath still brushed her face.
Her pitch-black eyes stared unblinkingly at Fang Yiyi.
A pink tongue lightly swept across her crimson lips.
“It really is quite sweet,” Li Ting said.
Fang Yiyi stared blankly for several seconds.
Then, as though suddenly coming to her senses, she nervously tried to retreat.
But Li Ting still held the back of her neck.
Her grip appeared light, yet the strength behind it could not be underestimated.
No matter how Fang Yiyi struggled, she could not break free.
Helpless, she could only speak haltingly through her flushed cheeks.
“N-No, Senior, why did you…”
She did not even dare raise her voice.
She could already see the strands of hair beside Li Ting’s cheeks stirring in the breeze created by her rapid breathing.
Her breath was blowing directly onto Senior’s face…
That was far too embarrassing!
“What did I do?”
Li Ting watched Fang Yiyi quietly.
The upturned corners of her eyes were captivating as she asked softly, “Shall we do it again?”
Although phrased as a question, her tone carried an undeniable force.
Fang Yiyi did not dare look at her.
Those eyes concealed a burning desire she knew all too well.
She could not meet them directly.
There was no other reason.
One accidental glance was enough to awaken her body’s memories uncontrollably, setting every part of her ablaze.
“S-Senior…”
Fang Yiyi’s heart pounded like a drum as she slowly leaned closer.
Then, at the worst possible moment, her stomach growled.
Gurgle, gurgle…
Fang Yiyi covered her face.
Her cheeks were hot enough to cook an egg.
“…”
She was hungry.
Then she heard Li Ting laugh softly.
Immediately afterward, the hand around her neck released her.
“Go eat.”
“O-Okay.”
Fang Yiyi disliked her own stomach, scolded herself for losing control moments earlier, and at the same time felt a subtle trace of regret.
Actually, how should she put it…
Aside from the first few times, when it had hurt, rolling around in bed was usually rather… rather comfortable…
“…”
Realizing what she was thinking, Fang Yiyi shook her head, trying to force herself back to normal.
Unfortunately, her mind stubbornly opposed her.
The harder she tried to suppress those intimate memories, the more they replayed like a documentary.
Before long, Fang Yiyi felt hot.
She sighed, feeling utterly hopeless.
Food always tasted especially good when one was hungry, particularly something as appetite-stimulating as hot-and-sour noodles.
Fang Yiyi finished every noodle, every drop of soup, and even the cilantro used for flavoring.
But she still did not feel full.
She checked the time.
It was not particularly late, so she decided to order herself another serving of spicy dry pot.
Thus, beneath Li Ting’s loving gaze, which resembled that of an affectionate mother, Fang Yiyi consumed one large milk tea, one large bowl of hot-and-sour noodles, and a forty-yuan serving of spicy dry pot.
At eleven that night, Fang Yiyi finally finished eating and drinking.
She held her stomach and let out a full burp.
Li Ting walked over and patted it with satisfaction.
“Mm. The melon is ripe.”
Then Fang Yiyi was taken into the bathroom and eaten over and over again, nearly causing her to vomit the spicy dry pot.
The next day, the punching bag arrived.
It had been delivered downstairs.
Fang Yiyi could not lift it, so she pleaded with Li Ting for help.
On the way back to the dormitory, they encountered several students.
The others could not see Li Ting.
All they saw was Fang Yiyi carrying a punching bag taller and broader than herself while striding forward quickly and effortlessly.
They froze, eyes widening.
Only after Fang Yiyi disappeared around the stairwell did one of them recover and ask her companion, “Who was that student…? How is she so strong?”
The other answered, “I don’t know, but I think that punching bag must weigh three hundred pounds…”
Then both exclaimed in unison, “That’s amazing!”
Fang Yiyi knew nothing about this.
The moment the punching bag was set down, Li Ting began her martial-arts lesson.
“Come here. I’ll teach you grappling techniques first…”
Fang Yiyi stared blankly.
“Aren’t I supposed to be fighting ghosts?”
“I know.”
Li Ting raised an eyebrow.
“Is there a problem?”
She clearly saw nothing wrong with it.
A scene immediately appeared in Fang Yiyi’s mind:
A blood-covered ghost charged toward her.
She countered with a grappling move and threw it to the ground.
Completely unafraid, the ghost twisted its neck backward and bit into her arm.
Then it jerked its head up and tore away an entire piece of flesh.
“…”
The imagined pain felt so real that Fang Yiyi shuddered.
“Let’s assume this punching bag is your opponent,” Li Ting said seriously as she demonstrated.
“When it’s on your right side, you do this.”
Fang Yiyi: “…”
Forget it.
Whatever Senior said was correct.
Fang Yiyi practiced a single right-side grappling move for the entire morning.
During that time, the freestanding punching bag even swung back and struck her in the head.
By lunchtime, Fang Yiyi was completely exhausted.
Both arms felt as though they no longer belonged to her.
Li Ting was extremely dissatisfied.
“You’re so stupid. You spent the whole morning practicing one movement and still haven’t learned it properly.”
“You’re getting weaker instead of stronger.”
“And you expect to protect yourself like this?”
“The next time you encounter some ghost, don’t even bother resisting. Just stand there and let it eat you.”
Fang Yiyi lay spread-eagled on the floor, too tired even to wipe away the sweat on her face.
At those words, she tugged weakly at the corners of her lips and declared half-dead, “I’ll work hard!”
