A Scumbag Alpha Gets the Simp’s Script - Chapter 38
The sound of rushing water from behind the door quieted slightly, but it didn’t stop. This time, the voice was much clearer: “Good Sister, I’m fine, don’t worry about me.”
A flash of anger crossed Pei Daowan’s eyes. She kicked the door with some force. “Yu Jinzhao, I’m giving you one minute to open this door, or I’m calling a locksmith.”
There was no answer from behind the door. Pei Daowan didn’t speak again either; she just stood there with her hands on her hips, silently counting the seconds as she waited for Yu Jinzhao.
After about 30 seconds, the water stopped. Yu Jinzhao opened the door timidly.
She was soaking wet and radiating a cold chill. Her hair was plastered to her face, making her look quite piteous. Despite her massive temper, Pei Daowan found she couldn’t stay angry looking at her like this.
“Why did you lock yourself in the bathroom?”
Yu Jinzhao looked aggrieved. “The back of my neck is hot and swollen, and my teeth are so itchy.”
Pei Daowan stood lightly on her tiptoes, signaling Yu Jinzhao to lower her head, and brushed aside the wet hair.
Sure enough, the glands were a mess of red swelling, with the scent of mint and citrus wafting out intermittently. Yu Jinzhao clearly had no idea how to control her pheromones, leaving them to run rampant through her body. No wonder she was suffering.
With a light sigh, Pei Daowan led her directly to the sofa and used a blanket to roughly dry the cold water off her so she would stop dripping.
She pressed Yu Jinzhao down onto the sofa and then knelt before her, proactively exposing her own fragile neck.
“Mark me now. Then take a hot shower, change into clean clothes, and sleep for a bit. I’ll take you to the doctor when it’s light out.”
“Waaa~ Good Sister~”
Yu Jinzhao didn’t bite her right away. Instead, she kept nuzzling her wet head into Pei Daowan’s embrace. Cradling the girl’s head and feeling the damp chill against her chest, Pei Daowan supported the back of Yu Jinzhao’s neck, slowly tightening her grip.
“Alright, it’s okay. Just be good.”
With that, she let go of Yu Jinzhao and revealed her porcelain-white neck—a posture that allowed Yu Jinzhao to do as she pleased.
The swelling on the glands hadn’t subsided yet, and the surrounding area was still covered in a messy array of bite marks, deep and shallow, covering a wide area. Looking at it made Yu Jinzhao’s heart skip a beat.
Waaa! Pei Daowan actually hadn’t beaten her to death; she really was too much. Overwhelmed by guilt, Yu Jinzhao’s voice lacked any confidence: “Can I really bite?”
“So much hesitation. Why so much nonsense? One more word and I won’t let you.”
Reprimanded like that, Yu Jinzhao immediately behaved. She rubbed her canines against the glands repeatedly, causing an itch that made Pei Daowan’s breathing quicken and her abdomen tighten.
This scoundrel Yu Jinzhao really was inherently wicked, always liking to tease her a bit longer at times like this. If I’m suffering, isn’t she suffering too?
Yu Jinzhao was indeed suffering—much more than Pei Daowan. Specifically, the canines in her mouth seemed to sense the glands nearby. The pheromones contained in her mouth were practically ready to burst forth. If Yu Jinzhao hadn’t been biting the tip of her tongue with all her might, she would have lost control on the spot.
Pei Daowan was like a delicious cake, constantly tempting Yu Jinzhao. She wanted to eat but was reluctant to, caught in a cycle of hesitation between taking a few more looks and eating right now.
Ultimately, her will lost the battle. The moment her canines pierced the glands, Yu Jinzhao felt her mind go blank. She couldn’t describe the feeling; it was as if a dam that had been blocked for years had suddenly opened, a ten-thousand-foot waterfall pouring down. She felt light as air, completely losing track of time and place.
Pei Daowan wasn’t doing much better. Her tense abdomen suddenly trembled, then drew into a straight line, straining upward to make herself feel better.
Yu Jinzhao remembered that Pei Daowan’s waist couldn’t take much pressure. Fearing she wouldn’t be able to hold out for long, she scrambled to grab everything nearby—sofa cushions, blankets, even her discarded coat—and stuffed them under Pei Daowan’s belly to support her.
“Mm~”
Pei Daowan’s eyes were misty with tears. She was half-kneeling and lying face down on a messy pile of soft things. Her waist felt like it didn’t belong to her, tensing and twitching uncontrollably.
“Sister~ relax, relax, it’s okay~”
Pei Daowan couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Easy for her to say. She wasn’t an Omega; she couldn’t experience the feeling of absolute suppression. If she were an Alpha, she’d definitely let Yu Jinzhao experience this sensation.
Compared to last night, Yu Jinzhao was much more restrained. Fearing Pei Daowan couldn’t handle it, she slowly relaxed her strength, keeping one arm around her to support half her body weight.
Pei Daowan took several deep breaths, then her body suddenly lost all its strength. She felt like she was turning into a pool of water, lying half-prostrate. Fearing Pei Daowan would feel stifled, Yu Jinzhao quickly helped her turn over.
“Whew—”
The breathing was still heavy, making Yu Jinzhao’s throat tighten again. She hardly dared to look closely at Pei Daowan. The face that was usually cold and expressionless was now flush with color.
Because Yu Jinzhao was busy suppressing her own expressions, it looked to Pei Daowan like she was being expressionlessly serious.
Heh! She’s certainly acting the part. An outsider would think Pei Daowan was the only one sinking into desire. Feeling disgruntled, she naturally wasn’t willing to let Yu Jinzhao off easily.
“Massage my waist.”
Yu Jinzhao felt like a happy, tireless ox right now. Let alone massaging a waist—even if she were told to run a lap around the river, she felt she could do it.
So, she naturally acted like a busy little bee, working away without complaint. She wouldn’t stop until Pei Daowan told her to, which left Pei Daowan with no temper left. What a block of wood.
My taste really is poor, picking a blockhead like this. Not only do I have to teach her everything, but she acts pure on the surface while being like a predator who hasn’t eaten in eight hundred years during the act, and then goes right back to being a gentleman afterward.
Incredible!
Irritated and annoyed, Pei Daowan reached out and pinched a piece of soft flesh on Yu Jinzhao’s waist.
“Hiss!”
Yu Jinzhao was happily massaging her when she was suddenly pinched quite hard. She grimaced in pain and looked at Pei Daowan with a look of grievance.
Pei Daowan didn’t feel guilty at all. Maintaining her cold, ascetic face, she deceived Yu Jinzhao without even a blink.
“I called you several times just now but you didn’t hear me. I had to pinch you.”
“Oh, I see.”
Yu Jinzhao accepted it obediently without a hint of doubt. She really had been daydreaming. She couldn’t let herself think about Pei Daowan; the moment she did, things got out of hand and she felt like she was burning up, so she had to force herself to think about random things.
She didn’t stop her hands, continuing to massage Pei Daowan’s waist. Pei Daowan couldn’t help but be full of black lines. How can she be this dense?
“No more massaging. Go take a shower.”
She hadn’t forgotten that Yu Jinzhao was still wet. With the alternating cold and heat, even an Alpha’s constitution could easily catch a cold.
“What about you?”
“Don’t worry about me. Go shower quickly. Don’t use cold water.”
Yu Jinzhao obeyed. Soon, the only sound in the silent hall was the faint rushing of water. Pei Daowan took a breath and walked alone to the massive floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, lighting a cigarette.
Her mind was a bit messy. The development of events was gradually slipping out of her control. When did it start? It was the moment she relented last night.
For some reason, when she saw the watery look in Yu Jinzhao’s eyes, her heart had ached. That gaze—vulnerable, helpless, yet with a hint of stubbornness—had made Pei Daowan lose her soul instantly.
She really couldn’t refuse this Yu Jinzhao. She had a premonition: if she helped Yu Jinzhao then, Yu Jinzhao would remember it forever.
She couldn’t say if it was more calculation or genuine emotion. In a rare moment, Pei Daowan felt lost. Through the floor-to-ceiling window, she could see the river at night. This property was in the city center—a quiet oasis in a bustling world. Looking down, she could see the neon lights and festivities by the river.
The cigarette soon burned out. Pei Daowan’s thoughts were still scattered. Though she had made her decision long ago, she couldn’t help the internal struggle. She thought: It would be better if Yu Jinzhao were a bad person. That way, she wouldn’t have such a heavy psychological burden. What she intended to do would inevitably hurt the girl.
Exhaling a cloud of smoke, Pei Daowan extinguished the cigarette and didn’t light a second one. She turned on the ventilation system, then sat by the window with her arms around her legs, staring into space.
Yu Jinzhao emerged without Pei Daowan noticing, until she draped a blanket over the woman’s shoulders. Pei Daowan snapped back to reality.
Yu Jinzhao had showered. Her hair wasn’t fully dry, but she radiated a citrus scent that made Pei Daowan feel strangely at ease.
Without asking why she was sitting by the window, Yu Jinzhao sat down beside her, legs crossed. They were very close, almost leaning against each other.
“At four in the morning, I saw the begonias were still awake.”
A line of poetry she’d read long ago surfaced in her mind. Back then, she couldn’t imagine how that phrase could be linked to love. But now, she looked at Pei Daowan.
In that instant, she understood. The poem she’d seen years ago perfectly overlapped with this moment, with Pei Daowan right beside her.
“Pei Daowan, do you know? I used to imagine what kind of person I’d fall for. My ideal type was a gentle, independent, kind, and highly educated ‘big sister.’ My friends used to laugh and say my standards were too high.”
Gentle? Highly educated? Kind?
Pei Daowan weighed those words. Her own self didn’t seem to match Yu Jinzhao’s ideal type at all. Feeling a bit sour, she couldn’t help but shoot her down: “Those are indeed high standards.”
“Mm-hmm.” Yu Jinzhao was noncommittal, neither confirming nor denying.
But fate had been kind to her. Despite the high standards, she had met her, and this person far exceeded her ideal type.
“Pei Daowan, do you know? I was thinking about a question while I was showering.”
Without waiting for an answer, Yu Jinzhao continued, “I was confirming something. I think… I really like you.”
The person hearing this appeared composed. Her expression didn’t ripple much at Yu Jinzhao’s words, but the fingers hidden under the blanket couldn’t help but tremble slightly.
Yu Jinzhao likes her?!
Does she really? Has she seen the real her? To say “like” so easily—does she even know her!
In an instant, her skepticism overrode her own emotions. She became cold, detaching herself. Her expression was icy, her tone void of emotion as she questioned Yu Jinzhao word-by-word about her statement.
Yu Jinzhao was dazed for a moment. The panic and abruptness in her expression were clear to Pei Daowan, who sneered inwardly.
Sure enough. Calling it ‘love’ is just an impulsive moment. How is she any different from those who covet my looks?
Realizing Yu Jinzhao wasn’t as brave or sincere as she’d imagined, Pei Daowan almost couldn’t hide her disappointment.
She feigned composure. “Fine. Go sleep for a bit. Don’t think about these boring questions. I’ll take you to the doctor tomorrow morning.”
With that, she prepared to turn and leave, giving Yu Jinzhao no chance to explain and not wanting to stay there any longer.
Yu Jinzhao stood up instantly, grabbing Pei Daowan’s hand to stop her.
“Let go.” Pei Daowan’s voice was like ice, and the look she gave Yu Jinzhao was cold and empty.
