Chapter 66

Who exactly is helping whom here?

How come it felt like she was the one enjoying it?

Shen You’an’s mind was in a blur; she felt surrounded by a soft, fragrant sweetness—not the airy sweetness of cream, but something with a bit of resilient texture.

At first, she hesitated, her movements cautious, not daring to be too bold.

Su Wu looked down at her head, and at the hands she still refused to place on her.

“Do you really not want to touch me that much?” Those eight words were spoken very flatly.

But to Shen You’an’s ears, it sounded like a sentence for a catastrophic crime.

She felt wronged: “I don’t.”

She glanced at her own hands, which clinked and clattered with the slightest movement: “A-jie, over there…” She looked, her meager vocabulary failing to find a description. “I’m just worried…”

Shen You’an suspected that the black metal chains didn’t even need to do anything else; simply touching her would easily leave marks that shouldn’t be there. She was afraid of accidentally chilling her, or inadvertently scraping her.

Su Wu’s thumb kneaded Shen You’an’s earlobe, making her instinctively [stolen content]want to tilt her head and lean into the woman’s palm to act spoiled.

“It doesn’t matter,” she heard Su Wu say. “As long as it’s from you, I want it all.”

Shen You’an’s brain suffered an information overload; her CPU smoked. If she were a car, she would have been an honest, slow-moving Santana driving under 40 mph; Su Wu’s words directly transformed the car into a Rolls-Royce Phantom, the accelerator floored, speeding up Mount Akina.

She couldn’t tell if the monster had come alive again, if the black shadows were playing tricks in her heart, or if it was neither.

She simply couldn’t control herself.

Even though her fingers hadn’t turned into claws, she pressed against Su Wu exactly as she had once crushed an enemy under her palm.

There was no blood, of course, and no wound. Under her fingertips, the only thing that changed was Su Wu.

Skin shivering with goosebumps, a jawline tilting up uncontrollably.

A strange sense of satisfaction welled up in Shen You’an’s heart, much like finishing a full meal. At the same time, a subtle sense of achievement ran alongside it.

With just a few casual movements, Su Wu would become overwhelmed. Her hands clutched You’an’s shoulders, and even her voice was dominated and controlled, like a miniature instrument held in her palm—a single pluck producing a surge of sound.

Shen You’an was hooked. The hunter’s bloodline dormant in her body quietly awakened. She gradually began to practice the thoughts in her mind—how to make the little instrument produce more sounds.

“Multi-tasking” turned out to be a good term at a time like this. After all, the left and right sides needed to be balanced. And she only had one mouth for “eating.”

Su Wu’s fingertips uncontrollably scratched the skin on You’an’s shoulders, and then gripped her hair as You’an “bit” with extreme focus.

The experimental monitor used previously stood quietly to the side, dark and like a mirror, projecting the two shadows. If it had been connected, the screen would surely have shown two red lines constantly interlacing, rising and falling together, climbing all the way up. One belonging to Su Wu, one to Shen You’an.

“Don’t… don’t just focus there.” Su Wu really couldn’t stand this little habit of Shen You’an’s.

It was so itchy, so ticklish. The biased attention made her body lose its balance. She felt a bit weightless, her reason having long since drifted away.

When Shen You’an had left with Si Qi and the tail left behind had nearly vanished, Su Wu’s reason had shattered along with the breathless, bloodless Shen You’an who had fallen to the floor after exiting the illusion. What was the use of being sober and restrained? She could calculate everything, but she couldn’t account for You’an’s decision to leave.

She had almost been left behind again.

Su Wu had been cold all over, from that moment until now. Now, she felt a bit better; the other’s body temperature was pressed close, and the immature yet direct provocation made her own body heat up.

It wasn’t enough. Not nearly enough.

A monster lay dormant inside Shen You’an, but didn’t she have one too? Appearing as a human by day, but weaving shameful desires in secret. Every night she lost her, she had fantasized a thousand fold. The tiny monster had been nourished by despair, until finally, it was let out.

Su Wu didn’t want to hide anymore, nor did she want to control herself. She was like a hollowed-out frozen lake; on the surface, she looked complete and beautiful, crystal clear, but one step onto it and you’d fall into a bottomless abyss, only then realizing that there was actually nothing there.

The only thing present was a void that could never be filled.

So be it, she thought, abandoning all care. Since the fox’s tail had already been exposed, she might as well tear away the peaceful disguise completely and lay bare those unsightly, shameful truths.

She gripped the girl’s hair as You’an—obedient and sensible—finally learned the lesson of not being “biased.”

Su Wu’s position on top was perfect for this; it was effortless for Shen You’an to eat.

Still not enough.

Su Wu pinched the back of Shen You’an’s neck and commanded, “Right here.” Her finger pushed into Shen You’an’s mouth, touching her canines that hadn’t yet fully emerged. “I want you to use these.”

Shen You’an lightly ground her teeth against the finger pad, speaking while “eating”: “No… A-jie… it will hurt…”

“I. Want it.” Su Wu spoke very seriously. “Right now. Suck my blood.”

Shen You’an could not refuse any of Su Wu’s requests. Including this one.

Sharp teeth pierced the softest skin, and blood seeped out from nearby. Su Wu’s toes curled in pain, but her heart suddenly felt an inch fuller.

What followed immediately was the catalytic reaction after feeding.

Shen You’an was sucking blood when, suddenly, she felt a wave of warm sweetness mix into the blood. It was a completely different kind of sweetness, unlike the wild taste of the blood; she could tell.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

She was more cautious than a person dying of thirst in the desert finding water. She stopped the bleeding from the punctures she’d made while sucking, catching everything, while her eyes—which had been observing Su Wu’s expression—fell on the place she had just bitten.

Two holes. And beneath those holes was a place that, for some unknown reason, had suddenly produced food that shouldn’t be there.

My god, this is incredibly fresh.

?!

Why did Su Wu have this?!

Her brain was mush, but her mouth reacted quickly. These were rare treasures; how could she bear to miss a single drop? When she was almost done drinking, she gathered a mouthful, looked up, and obediently offered it to the woman to taste for herself.

“A-jie.” She sent it in during the kiss. “It’s yours.”

Su Wu’s ears turned scalding hot at this absurd, shouldn’t-have-happened event, yet she maintained an expression of being in full control, cupping Shen You’an’s face and asking, “Do you like it?”

Shen You’an, her face burning red, nodded.

Su Wu curled her lips and asked, “Do you like mine, or Auntie’s?”

The little train in Shen You’an’s mind went choo-choo-choo. Smoke rose from the top of her head. The little monster turned into a little mushroom, burying her head like a quail, not daring to look at Su Wu.

“It was you who turned me into this.” Su Wu tilted her chin up. “You’an, you have to take responsibility.”

“Open up.”

“This side, finish it.”

As Shen You’an performed her task obediently, her soul felt as if it were floating outside her body.

So good…

Even if I don’t know why it feels so good…

It just feels so good…

Suddenly she felt so hungry, a hunger that went through her entire body. The sips she took didn’t feed her at all; the effect of the blood she just consumed felt minuscule now. How could this be? Was this hunger the same as what Su Wu felt just now? She had never encountered this situation before—the more she ate, the hungrier she got, and the more she ate, the more she wanted.

Which stomach was acting up and leading all of this!

She ate a mess of everything, but Shen You’an still felt it wasn’t enough.

She looked at Su Wu and tilted her head up to ask, “A-jie…”

Su Wu’s eyes shimmered with a madness she no longer hid. She pushed Shen You’an back, straightened her waist, and pressed her knees into the mattress. The edge of her nightgown was lifted.

The skin of her thighs, which should have been pure white, was covered in a chaotic, ferocious mess of scars and tattoos.

Her intent was unmistakable as she looked at Shen You’an.

Faster than Shen You’an’s response was the tail that had returned to her body after being crushed. It wound out from her tailbone, wagging enthusiastically, expressing its proactive will.

Su Wu watched as You’an stared dazed, swallowing saliva foolishly, leaning in as if bewitched.

Su Wu lowered her eyes silently.

Shen You’an, once you wake up from this blurred appetite, hate me.

Hate me so much that the mere thought of me makes you sick, and the mention of my name makes you nauseous, to the point where it consumes all your thoughts and physiological reactions.

Only that kind of hate is enough to fill me up completely, without leaving an inch behind.
