Chapter 69
Su Wu couldn’t remember how she made it to the end.
Yes.
Made it.
It was a phrase that could be used in more ways than one.
At the beginning, her state was relatively relaxed. She still had some idle thoughts to spare for other things. For instance, she noticed that Shen You’an had become quite adept at kissing. It was a far cry from the start, when the girl was so clumsy she only knew how to lean in for a few pecks, occasionally poking her tongue out to nudge Su Wu’s lips—innocent, silly, and simple.
Now, Shen You’an understood rhythm.
Of course, it was also possible they had kissed so many times that their lips were familiar enough to open the door and say “hi” the moment they touched, letting the tongue slip in to offer a greeting.
When visiting someone else’s home, one must start by being polite. They sat together, playing back and forth within their mouths—hooking, chasing—like a game. A mutual exchange was always best.
But as Shen You’an gradually rose, no longer crouching or tilting her head up to kiss, the situation lost its balance. Su Wu gradually became the one enduring it.
As they kissed, You’an stood up, and before Su Wu realized it, the girl was on the bed with her, cupping the sides of her neck and behind her ears, rubbing warm skin against warm skin inch by inch.
Only when Su Wu’s breathing became uneven would Shen You’an firmly grip the back of her head. In the moments Su Wu gasped for air, You’an would pounce like a cat after a butterfly, catching her tongue and “eating” it with force.
The sense of aggression the girl usually never showed began to overflow at this moment. This unique sense of pressure and desire for control—visible only to her—left Su Wu completely soft.
Only she could see it. At least, for now.
She saw the eyes that remained reluctant to pull away even after half an hour of kissing; she felt the palms cupping her face; and she watched as You’an slowly lowered her head to kiss down her body, peck by peck, eventually stopping at her neck.
She didn’t suck blood; she only lingered lovingly around the places where she had fed before. The girl was clearly fascinated by her body. Perhaps it was the instinct of the little monster hidden inside her acting up.
As you know, many animals love to groom and lick. She licked Su Wu clean from top to bottom.
At this stage, Su Wu was still relatively composed, even feeling a faint sense of satisfaction. Their posture shifted from facing each other to Su Wu leaning back into Shen You’an’s embrace, then sitting up so they were face-to-face once more.
She was at You’an’s fingertips.
The “emptiness” was gone; it had actually become a bit too much.
Shen You’an would still obediently grind the skin of Su Wu’s nape with her teeth while Su Wu propped her hands against the glass facing the sea.
“A-jie,” she asked, being very polite and sensible. “Is it still ’empty’ now?”
In truth, her heart was still empty. But that wasn’t Shen You’an’s fault; the girl had already given enough. Su Wu knew this was her own problem.
During those ten years after Shen You’an fell off the cliff with a gunshot wound, Su Wu’s heart—which she had worked so hard to fill—had turned entirely to void, leaving only a functioning shell.
She wanted her, wanted her more, and it was never enough. She felt like a bottomless pit; no matter how much she received, it was never sufficient. Shen You’an was a monster, but wasn’t she one too? Inside her heart and body lived another monster craving to be loved.
Even if what Shen You’an was giving her now wasn’t necessarily out of love, it was the closest possible language to it. Su Wu wanted it too much. So much she was nearly going mad.
She turned her head, hooking her fingers under Shen You’an’s chin. In that awkward position, she shared a very deep kiss with her. The words “I want more” didn’t need to be spoken; she only had to arch her back slightly and offer herself to the girl.
Shen You’an had learned to read this language. The fire in her heart blazed, growing hotter and brighter. She fiercely traded nibbles for bites, and upon hearing Su Wu’s soft cry, she used her fingertips to make the woman’s voice even more fragmented.
Is it still not enough, A-jie? What will it take to be enough? A thought flashed through her mind, and the little tail appeared right on cue. It wiggled and darted over, joining this act of giving.
How about this, A-jie? Am I satisfying you properly?
It was her constitution that had made Su Wu this way. Shen You’an reflected, accepted it, and took responsibility. She turned Su Wu around—from facing the glass to facing away—and crouched down.
Tail, tongue, knuckles. A three-pronged approach.
Su Wu suddenly gripped You’an’s hair, finally letting out the kind of sound Shen You’an had wanted to hear for a long time but hadn’t quite identified. It was a bit frightened, a bit frantic, even tinged with a subtle sob.
She said, no.
She said, enough.
Shen You’an blinked, her eyelashes brushing against the “black forest.” She raised her hands, interlacing her fingers with Su Wu’s, pressing them against the glass.
“But I don’t think it’s enough,” she whispered, kissing her there. “A-jie, I haven’t eaten enough.”
Su Wu truly couldn’t take any more. She cried out, tears falling, her voice both delicate and hoarse. Shen You’an felt it was a pity—she was too busy “eating” to catch the tears.
Even more of a pity was that, for some reason, it was like a floodgate had opened, or perhaps a water gun? Shen You’an couldn’t find the right word. In any case, she opened her mouth to catch it; her mouth was full, yet it still wasn’t finished.
It was a different kind of sweetness.
“A-jie, what is this?”
Su Wu had lost all her strength. She hung off Shen You’an like a wrung-out towel. She couldn’t hold on anymore. Nowhere could she hold on.
When Su Wu woke up again, she was lying in Shen You’an’s arms.
She moved slightly, then froze, struggling to keep from blushing. She only felt that the temperature was hot enough to burn her ears. As she shifted her body, the place that was still connected moved with her.
Su Wu: “…………”
She didn’t even dare to breathe deeply, because even breathing caused a movement there. She tried to move backward cautiously.
Shen You’an was asleep with her eyes closed, but she seemed to sense something instinctively. She reached out and pulled Su Wu into her embrace. The few centimeters Su Wu had managed to retreat were immediately gained back.
Su Wu: “…………?”
She wanted to try again, but Shen You’an suddenly opened her eyes slowly. Out of habit, she kissed Su Wu’s forehead. “A-jie, you’re awake?”
Su Wu: “Mhm.”
Seeing her lackluster reaction, Shen You’an was worried. “A-jie, what’s wrong? Are you still uncomfortable?”
Su Wu: “…No.”
You’re asking me what’s wrong? Su Wu didn’t even have the heart to look under the covers.
Su Wu: “Aren’t you going to take it out?”
Shen You’an’s face turned red. “I… I forgot.”
She was very apologetic and hurried to withdraw, but after so much “grinding,” some of Su Wu’s skin had become as thin as a cicada’s wing, reacting to the slightest touch. At the smallest shift, Su Wu shivered.
Shen You’an, worried for her, stopped. “A-jie?”
Su Wu: “…” Stopping is even worse. She looked away. “Just get out quickly.”
Shen You’an felt wronged. “I’m afraid I’ll hurt you.”
Su Wu felt helpless. “Then what? Are you going to leave it there forever?”
Shen You’an thought of something; she didn’t dare look Su Wu in the eye, her face turning excessively red. She whispered, “No, no.”
Leaving it there forever?! She steeled her heart and finished the withdrawal in one go.
Su Wu let out a muffled groan.
Shen You’an lifted her hand to her nose to take a sniff. Su Wu immediately slapped her hand away, chiding her: “What are you doing?”
Shen You’an: (QAQ) “I was just smelling—!”
Su Wu: “You are not allowed.”
So bossy! Shen You’an pretended to look mournful. She took the opportunity to snuggle closer to Su Wu. “A-jie really loves saying those words,” she grumbled.
Su Wu was amused by her reaction. She tried her best to ignore the subtle residual sensations in her body and pinched You’an’s cheek. “Which words?”
Shen You’an: “‘Not allowed.’”
Su Wu raised an eyebrow. “When have I ever said that to you?” She added, “Besides just now.”
Shen You’an looked up from Su Wu’s embrace. “A-jie, can I say it?”
Su Wu: “Why wouldn’t you be able to?” Her actions might not have been upright and her behavior not noble, but she was thick-skinned and psychologically resilient. “Speak.”
Shen You’an’s gaze drifted before she spoke obediently: “Well, after you fainted, I wanted to take it out, but you wouldn’t let me. You even said—”
Her mouth was covered.
The heat finally spread from behind her ears to Su Wu’s cheeks. A glimmer of a smile flashed in Shen You’an’s eyes. She kissed Su Wu’s palm. “A-jie is very cute like that.”
Shen You’an: “So I was very obedient. You said ‘not allowed,’ so I listened.”
Actually, you didn’t have to be that obedient at a time like that!
Su Wu withdrew her hand; her palm felt incredibly tingly. She didn’t speak, but reached out to pull Shen You’an back into her arms. The water marks on the glass had been wiped clean. The light was softened by the white gauze, and one could vaguely see the blue of the sea.
Ever since she became a monster, Shen You’an had never felt this way before. From body to soul, she felt full; she wasn’t hungry at all. She was so happy. On a whim, she hugged Su Wu even tighter. The spoiled gesture made the corners of Su Wu’s mouth lift. The faint melancholy between her brows was quietly hidden away.
Su Wu toyed with Shen You’an’s hair idly when she heard the girl in her arms ask, “A-jie, you still haven’t answered my question.”
Su Wu felt like she had amnesia. “Which question?”
Shen You’an’s voice sounded muffled from her embrace. “The tattoos, the scars… do they hurt?”
Su Wu froze. “I didn’t answer you?”
Shen You’an shook her head. Her fluffy head rubbed against Su Wu’s chest and arms, making them itch. Her heart felt the same way.
She rubbed Shen You’an’s head. “I forgot.” Su Wu said, “Maybe they hurt, maybe they don’t. You’an, it’s been too long. I’ve forgotten.”
Shen You’an: “Then can I ask another question?”
Su Wu: “Of course. With me, you always have the right to ask anything without hesitation.”
Shen You’an felt soft and warm inside. She said, “A-jie, why are those there? Did someone hurt you?”
Su Wu smiled faintly. “What if they did?”
Shen You’an immediately scrambled out of Su Wu’s arms, her voice righteous: “I’ll kill them.”
Su Wu tapped her on the head. “We live in a society ruled by law. Who could you possibly kill?”
Shen You’an said very seriously, “A-jie, don’t worry. I’m very experienced in this. I’ll do it cleanly, leaving no trace. No one will ever find out.” She felt a strong urge to protect Su Wu. “A-jie, tell me. Who is it? Who hurt you like that?”
Su Wu: “No one hurt me.”
Shen You’an thought she was worried about the “killing” part. “A-jie—!”
Su Wu’s tone was very calm. “It was myself.” She looked into Shen You’an’s pitch-black eyes. “Those marks… I left them all myself.”
Su Wu: “Now, are you going to kill me?”
She seemed to be joking; her tone was light and her eyes were curved. “If you want to…” She placed Shen You’an’s hand over her heart. “Let me see what ‘leaving no trace’ looks like. Hmm?”
